Hello lovelies, I'm back from what I believe is a short hiatus that I once again didn't talk about before going MIA.
I'm sorry for doing it in the past, and I'm sorry for ignoring my duty as a writer to keep bringing out the best in my writings/posts, and give the readers something to read, get inspired by, and at least have fun!
Whenever I'm mentally unwell, or I have to stay in the hospital, or simply have writer's block, I tend to isolate myself from things that make me happy, such as writing. To me, telling it before taking a break seems too much of a big announcement and attention-seeking than disappearing without any warning, which is a bad habit of mine that I'm working on reducing.
I will shortly get to my inbox, and I'm extremely sorry for not answering them.
I had been going through a major writer's block for a while, and thinking just hurts my mind, somehow. I'd say I'm mentally okay-ish enough to live, talk to my friends, and laugh. I'm fine, really. It's just that it had been a very hard month for me.
I lost my enrollment spot at my school, and I lost my major. And, funnily enough, the reason wasn't my grades; it was the absences I made due to my mental health breaks. So I'm trying to tidy up the mess and look for a new major with my social worker for now.
Hopefully, I'm in the mood to write once again. Thank you to all who've been following me for a while and supporting me.
*cracks knuckles* Aight, ive for my first request!!!! Hopefully this is an actually good one lol, it just popped into my head while I was tryna wake up lolz.
Uhh basically reader goes away on a trip for whatever reason, and surprised C!Quackity when they return??? Uhh idk all in all fluffy stuff... Thank you!!!!!!^^

"And I promise that one day l'll
feel alright
And I'll make a cup of coffee
With the right amount of sugar
How you like it"
Summary: After being away for a week, you finally return to Las Nevadas and are greeted by a very relieved Quackity, who practically tackles you into a hug after missing you the entire painful week. To make things better, you surprise him with a box of souvenirs from your trip to the neighbouring country, including a little duck trinket that immediately makes him overjoyed.
A/N: OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, ANON. THIS IDEA WAS SO CUTE UIFNFJVNEJOF. Lwk my heart can't overload this much cuteness. The whole time I was cooing, giggling, and being delulu while writing, I had so much fun writing this. Also, shout out to my friend for suggesting the duck trinket thingy! Had been on it since this morning, and rn it's 10:54 pm. So if we do the math right, 9 hours. DAMN. I'm giggling. Anyway, hope you enjoy it, and it's what you hopefully were looking for! Also i left it to the readers whether they wanna view this fic as platonic or romantic.
Seven days. One week.
A hundred and sixty-eight hours.
Not that Quackity was counting, he absolutely was.
The first day had been manageable, to say the least. He had rolled his eyes and, of course, thrown a childish tantrum over it when you'd announced that you were leaving Las Nevadas for a little while. For what? Dream XD forbids; no living being can be sure. This is how unpredictably chaotic you were to him.
"A week?" He had repeated it, almost sounding offended.
"Just a week."
"A week is seven days." Quackity deadpanned, and to his annoyance, you dared to grin at him as if he had just won a one-thousand-dollar lottery.
"Congratulations! You know your days." You patted him on his shoulder.
"I know how many days are in a week, dumbass." He hissed, swatting at your hand.
"Then why are you acting like it's the end of the world?"
Well, first of all to begin with... Because it felt like it. And maybe it was. But he never said that out loud. Hell, he'd eat dirt but admit it out loud.
Instead, he bratily crossed his arms and complained for another ten minutes while you laughed at him.
You had left anyway. Traitor. Quackity just huffed and said to himself who cares, it's only just a week.
Yeah, well, he underestimated that, unfortunately.
Quackity had spent the following week trying very hard not to think about it. About the emptiness you left behind. How he missed your nosy questions. The way you laughed a bit too loudly each time he'd crack a dry joke. And whatever else related to you.
Which was difficult.
Because suddenly everything reminded him of you.
Even the silence felt wrong. It's not even the tranquil silence you expect after a rough day. But a heavy one. Like something is missing; in this case, it's you.
Las Nevadas was never exactly quiet, but your absence left behind a noticeable gap. A space only you seemed capable of filling. And Quackity isn't a big fan of it at all. Call him dramatic, but he'd rather have you eat his brain off with your talkativeness than endure painful silence.
By day three, Quackity was convinced you had somehow gotten yourself into trouble. Like 'getting captured by aliens' or 'being shot to death out of nowhere' type trouble.
By day four, he was debating whether or not sending a search party would make him seem overly attached. Or maybe he'd be the better choice to go and drag your clumsy ass back home.
By day five, he had already planned three different rescue missions. Three of them were equally horribly planned. But who cares? It's the thought that counts, roght?
'Just in case... yep.' That's what he told himself while halfway through a dramatic panic attack.
Not that he'd ever admit it. He's taking this information with him to his grave.
By day six, he was pacing around his office so much that even Sam had started looking concerned. DO YOU EVEN HEAR THAT?!
Then your letter arrived, much to his relief. Quackity had nearly ripped it in half trying to open it. And there it was inside, your messy, familiar, yet weirdly comforting handwriting.
You'd be back in two days. That's what you wrote: short and simple.
Two. Days.
Two more freaking days.
For the first time all week, Quackity actually smiled. A real smile, one that showed his dimples and where the skin at the corners of his eyes wrinkling from the flood of relief and pure happiness.
The kind that softened his features and made him look younger than he usually allowed himself to appear.
"Finally," He muttered excitedly, almost vibrating. Too excited for his liking, but at the moment, he was lost to the news.
The wait somehow became worse because now he knew exactly when you'd be arriving. And every hour dragged on. Every minute felt twice as long.
When the day finally came, Quackity had been pretending to work, keyword: pretending.
The paperwork in front of him hadn't been touched in nearly forty minutes. Then one of his workers mentioned seeing a familiar figure approaching Las Nevadas. And that was all he needed to know.
The chair nearly tipped over behind him. He was already halfway out the door before anyone could finish their sentence.
You had barely crossed into the main area before you spotted him, marching toward you with enough determination to start a war or maybe a conversation that would last forever, judging by his expression, you couldn't tell honestly.
You opened your mouth, about to either greet or question him, "Qua—", that was as far as you got before his arms wrapped around you so quickly that your feet nearly left the ground. The impact knocked the breath right out of you.
"QUACKITY!!"
"Oh my God," he muttered immediately, but it came out muffled, buried somewhere against your shoulder like he had no intention of letting go anytime soon.
His arms were tight around you, almost too tight, like he was trying to make up for every second you weren't there just by holding you closer. You could feel the way he was breathing, a little uneven, eyes delighted, like he had been holding it in for too long and only now remembered how to let it out.
"You were gone forever," He said, and even though it was dramatic, there was something real underneath it that made your chest feel weird in a soft way.
You let out a breathless laugh, still half stuck in the shock of it all.
"I was gone only for a week," You reminded him, though it came out weaker than you meant it to.
"A week is forever," He shot back immediately, like it was the most obvious fact in the world.
"It literally isn't," You remarked back, but there was no real bite to it, not when he was still holding you like you might disappear again if he blinked wrong. At the moment, you almost felt guilty for leaving. Almost.
"You abandoned me," He added, pulling back just enough to look at you, though his hands didn’t leave your shoulders.
"I sent a letter," You argued, trying not to smile too much at how serious he looked.
"You sent only to let me know when you'd be coming back," He replied with a frown, like that was a crime.
"That's enough to let you know I'm coming back, and not abandoning you," You insisted, scoffing softly at his antics.
"No, it isn't," He replied instantly, completely convinced.
That finally broke you. You laughed this time, the kind that made your shoulders shake a little as you leaned into him without even thinking about it.
The sound made him squeeze you tighter, way too tight, like he was trying to make up for a whole week in one hug. You wheezed out his name a couple times, "Quackity… Quackity, I need my ribs," and that finally got a snort out of him. He loosened his grip just a little, but not enough to convince you he was done being dramatic.
When he finally pulled back, his hands stayed on your shoulders like he was double-checking you were real. His eyes immediately started scanning you up and down, serious in that overprotective way he gets when he’s trying not to panic. "You okay?" He asked fast.
"Yes."
"You sure?" He asked again, sceptical.
"Yes, i promise."
"Nothing happened?"
"Nothing happened." You confirmed softly.
"No one attacked you?"
"Not at all."
"You didn’t fall off a cliff, did you?"
"No!" You replied instantly, huffing as if the mere question of falling like some rookie sounded ridiculous to you.
"You didn't get kidnapped?"
"No."
"Start a revolution?"
Now that seemed to make you hesitate for half a second, "...No."
His eyes narrowed instantly, "Why did you hesitate?"
"I didn't!"
"You definitely did!"
You laughed again, and he went quiet for a second like he forgot what he was mad about. Then he cleared his throat, trying to act normal again, but his hands didn't leave your shoulders.
That's when he finally noticed the box. Wrinkled, too-colourful paper, crooked ribbon, very clearly 'I tried my best' energy radiating from it. "What's that?" He asked, suddenly curious.
You lit up immediately, remembering its existence finally. "Oh, right! I brought you something."
"A gift?" He repeated, suspicious already.
"Mayyybeee."
"That's concerning..."
"It'll make sense if you open it."
He took it like it might bite him, shooting you a look like he fully expected it to explode or contain something illegal—Ironic, given who's speaking, "You look scared," You teased.
"I'm being cautious," He protested immediately, "You once put a chicken in my office."
"It was funny."
"It nested on my desk and laid eggs."
You were still laughing—almost wheezing due to the number of times you'd laughed so far—when he finally opened it, and for a second he looked ready for a prank. But then he actually saw what was inside.
Souvenirs.
Little things from your trip. Carefully packed, like you actually thought about him the whole time you were gone. His teasing just… stopped. Gone.
And then he found the duck.
A tiny, bright yellow trinket. Probably clay made and hand painted.
"Oh my God," He gasped, or well, squeaking at the sight of it.
"I knew you'd like that one," You said proudly, placing your hands on your hips with that smug look of yours.
"It's a duck!"
"Thanks, i knew—"
"It's literally me."
"Pretty much."
He turned it over in his hands, and then he laughed in disbelief and admiration, the kind he doesn’t do in front of everyone. For a second, everything around Las Nevadas just faded out.
"You didn't have to do all this," He spoke, a little quieter now.
"I wanted to, though," You shrugged, like it was no big deal. Because it really wasn't.
That did something to him. You could see it in the way he looked at the box filled with souvenirs and the duck trinket again, then at you, like he was trying not to feel too much at once.
"A week," He muttered, mostly to himself.
"What about it?" You asked, eyebrows furrowed together, as you stared at him, confused.
"You're not doing that again. Period. No talk."
You groaned, "Here we go."
"I'm serious," he argued, but there was no real bite in it. Just worry pretending to be attitude. "I was worried."
That made you pause, but you quickly masked the reaction by bumping his shoulder playfully, "Hey, I'm back."
And that was enough for him to breathe peacefully, knowing you're still here. Still standing.
His expression softened, and before you could even tease him about it, he pulled you back into his side, arm around your shoulders like it belonged there. "Good," He said simply.
You giggled at his response, "There he is!"
"Shut up."
"Nuh uh."
"Fine," he grumbled, tightening his hold just a little more than he meant to, "But you're staying where I can see you. Got it?"
You rolled your eyes, but you didn't move away.
Because honestly?
You missed him just as much as he missed you.
And the duck stayed in his hand the whole way back into Las Nevadas, like he wasn't planning on letting go of it or you anytime soon. And you don't blame him at all for it.
ahhh!! Okay I get it now heheheh.. but just to be absolutely 100000% certain (sorry if I'm bothering!!!!!) that while ur comfortable writing for the toxicity n such, u can do fluff? (For Q ofc, Dream is. Tbh I'm not interested in dream LMFAO) Sorry I'm just. A sucker for fluff chat.
Ofc! I do romance, angst, fluff, platonic, headcanons, one-shots, blah blah blah and all that stuff for any characters I write for lol!
Also, you are not bothering, no worries! Sorry for the late reply, though, I hadn't been on Tumblr until today ^^;
I totally get the obsession with fluff things, LIKE PLEASE A CUP OF FLUFF PLEASE, WAITER. I DID NOT ORDER SMUT/silly
wait I'm sorry I'm sick and it's low-key messing with my head!! If u don't mind elaborating over what u mean by going overboard with Q like Dream... Again sorry.. my brain isn't braining...
Help- It's alright lol, my bad for not explaining explicitly. English is not my first language, so yeah T^T.
So what I meant by "going overboard with Quackity like Dream" is that I wouldn't mind writing for Quackity the same way I wouldn't mind writing for Dream. In fact, I enjoy writing toxicity involving them because, to me, it just makes sense for them to be power-hungry, manipulative, or morally compromised. Yk?
I'm just saying that I'd be more comfortable writing for toxicity, power struggles, obsession, manipulation, or psychological deterioration only with these sillies hehe.
✴︎𓊆 Augustine Orlov x Childhood Best friend!Reader 𓊇˳✧༚
"I read an article on the Internet
Told me that that's how you know you're fallin' in love
Don't really trust what's on the Internet
But maybe just this once
Hate to admit but it might be true"
Summary: Augustine overhears Reader confiding in someone that they are in a complicated situation and don't want to ruin the friendship, and without hearing the rest, he assumes they're talking about his other best friend, Winnie, and that they are in love with him. Not surprised, yet he feels his heart ache even though Winnie always got what Augustine always wanted. Convinced they have feelings for Winnie, he quietly steps back, distancing himself even when it's hurting him, believing he's giving them the space and chance to be honest with the person they truly want. He hides his feelings and starts treating them more like a casual friend, all while silently hoping they'll find happiness with Winnie. What he doesn't know is that the friendship they're afraid to ruin was never about Winnie at all; in reality, it was about Augustine; it has always been him, because he's the one they've loved the whole time. And now they overthought that he had no feelings for them, that he could return. So Reader started moving on with their unrequited love and started seeing someone else.
A/N: ugh, it had been in my draft for almost 2 months now, so here it is. Was supposed to post it a week ago, but then the anxiety took over, and i rewrote a few scenes lol. Hope you enjoy!!
Augustine hadn't meant to overhear the conversation. He was on his way out after class when he caught the sound of your voice drifting through the partially open classroom door. Normally, he would have kept walking. He wasn't the type to linger or listen in on things that weren't his business.
But he heard you, and something in your tone made him pause.
You sounded frustrated, vulnerable in a way he rarely heard, and before he realized it, he had stopped just outside the room.
"I don't know what to do anymore," you admitted, and your friend immediately responded with the kind of exasperated patience that suggested this wasn't the first time you'd had this discussion, "You could tell him."
Augustine looked away, already feeling guilty for hearing any of this, but then you let out a nervous laugh and said, "It's not that easy. We're friends, and I don't want to ruin what we already have."
There was a brief silence before your friend sighed, "You've been in love with him for months."
Augustine's chest tightened unexpectedly. He knew he should leave, yet he remained frozen in place for one second too long, long enough for his mind to supply an answer before he could stop it. Winnie. Of course it was Winnie.
The assumption came naturally because, honestly, who wouldn't fall for him? Winnie was everything people gravitated toward without even trying. He was warm, funny, easy to talk to, and easy to love. Augustine had spent years watching people choose Winnie first. It wasn't something he held against him. It was simply how things were.
So when he heard your friend urging you to confess and heard the uncertainty in your voice when you worried about not being loved back, Augustine filled in the blanks himself. He left before hearing anything else, not because he wanted to respect your privacy but because he suddenly couldn't bear hearing the rest.
The realisation settled into him slowly over the following days, becoming heavier the more he thought about it. Once the idea had taken root, he started seeing 'evidence' everywhere. The way you smiled whenever Winnie joined a conversation. The way your attention seemed to drift toward him in crowded rooms. The easy comfort between the two of you.
Maybe some of it was imagined, maybe most of it even was. But Augustine wasn't exactly looking for reasons to challenge the conclusion he'd already reached. The truth was that his own feelings complicated everything. Somewhere between late-night conversations, shared jokes, quiet afternoons, and all the little moments that had accumulated over time, he had fallen in love with you.
It wasn't dramatic like they say in those cheesy rom-com series you used to force him to watch. Looking back, he couldn't even identify when friendship had become something more. All he knew was that your messages were the highlight of his day and that he could pick your laugh out of a crowded room without even trying. He knew that seeing your name appear on his phone made him smile before he'd read a single word. He knew that when something happened, good or bad, you were always the first person he wanted to tell. And now he knew those feelings didn't matter because your heart belonged to someone else. More specifically, it belonged to his best friend.
That thought hurt more than Augustine wanted to admit, but he couldn't bring himself to resent either of you for it. If you loved Winnie and Winnie eventually loved you back, then what right did Augustine have to interfere? So he did what seemed like the mature thing to do, even if it quietly broke his heart.
He stepped back.
At first the distance was subtle enough that he convinced himself you wouldn't notice. He stopped texting first quite as often. He stopped looking for excuses to spend time with you alone. He left conversations earlier than usual and kept interactions friendly but brief.
The problem was that he knew you too well, and you knew him too well in return. You noticed almost immediately.
There were moments when he'd catch confusion flashing across your face after another short response or another excuse to leave, and each time guilt twisted painfully in his chest. Because more than once, he almost abandoned the whole plan. More than once, he nearly told you the truth. But then he would remember the conversation outside the classroom and remind himself that this wasn't about what he wanted.
If you were trying to gather the courage to tell Winnie how you felt, Augustine didn't want to make that harder by becoming another complication.
So he convinced himself that the hurt he saw in your eyes was temporary and that eventually, when you and Winnie figured things out, it would all be worth it. He told himself he could survive a little heartbreak if it meant seeing you happy.
The problem was that from your perspective, none of it made sense.
Augustine had gone from being one of the people you trusted most to someone who seemed determined to keep you at arm's length, and no matter how many times you replayed your recent interactions, you couldn't figure out why.
At first you worried that you'd done something wrong. Then you worried that maybe he'd realised how you felt.
The possibility terrified you because the friendship you had been so afraid of ruining had never been about Winnie at all. It had always been Augustine. Every awkward confession to friends, every anxious conversation, every moment of hesitation had revolved around him.
You loved him. You had loved him for far longer than you cared to admit, and watching him slowly withdraw from you felt like confirmation of your worst fear.
And if he felt the same way, he wouldn't be acting like this. If there was even a chance, surely he wouldn't be creating distance every time you tried to get closer.
Eventually, after months of overthinking and disappointment, you forced yourself to accept what seemed obvious. Augustine didn't want you the way you wanted him; holding on was only hurting you. So when someone else showed interest and asked you out, you said yes. Not because your feelings for Augustine had disappeared; they hadn't. But you were tired of waiting for something that was never going to happen.
Augustine found out completely by accident.
Winnie mentioned it casually one afternoon, as though it were common knowledge.
The words barely registered at first. You were seeing someone. Augustine assumed he'd misunderstood until Winnie mentioned a name, and the confusion hit immediately because it wasn't his own. For a moment, all Augustine could do was stare at him.
"She never confessed to you?" Augustine asked, almost breathless and trying to understand the gravity of the words.
"Why would she?" Winnie prompted, confused. A frown present on his face.
The conversation he'd overheard months ago replayed itself in his mind with painful clarity. The friendship you didn't want to ruin. The fear of losing what you already had. The uncertainty about whether your feelings would be returned. Every memory he'd spent months interpreting everything suddenly shifted into place, and the realisation hit him so hard it made him feel sick.
If you weren't talking about Winnie, then there was only one other possibility.
Suddenly, every confused look you'd given him, every attempt you'd made to reach out, every hurt expression after he'd pulled away made perfect sense.
Augustine had spent months believing he was selflessly stepping aside so you could be with the person you loved. Instead, he had spent months convincing the person he loved that their feelings would never be returned. Worse, he'd pushed you away so thoroughly that you'd finally done what he thought he'd wanted all along.
You had moved on. And by the time he understood the truth, you already belonged to someone else; not to him, and never would.
No more chances for him to claim what he could have had.
yo! It’s actually insane finding someone who writes for dsmp in the big ole 2026 hehe, if I may ask, which characters are you comfy writing for? :0
Lmao ikr!! Gotta keep the DSMP grinding going since 2021, heh.
i probably only will write for: Tubbo, Karl Jacobs (he's my baby!!), Tommy, Fundy, Niki, toxic!Dream (I'm sorry, he just gives me emotionless, sadistic, manipulative ahh vibes and can't see him as a normally functioning man CRINE), Sam, Purpled, Punz, Sally (YES, THE SALMON), Callahan, maybe, Foolish, Skeppy, Connor, Badboyhalo and uhh ig that's it???
I may add more to it, idk. I honestly feel uncomfortable writing about violence and stuff like involving blood, sh, etc. But emotional and psychological? I can work with that. So i may or may not write for Wilbur, Quackity, and ehh maybe Jschlatt too.
So like, again, if it doesn't involve extreme nsfw, I'm up for it lol.
Thanks for asking! Hope you have a great day/night <333
Not sure if you accept requests rn but... could you make a Tokyo Revengers boys x a reader with Makinot Tsukushi personality type, please? 🥹(Specially mitsuya pls)
Writing prompt: Tokyo Revengers characters with a Makino Tsukushi personality-wise Reader
A/N: I hope you mean Tsukushi Makino from Boys Over Flowers ^^; Ngl, I didn't know what Anon was talking abt until i searched up and turns out i did not read or watch the show/film (??), but i DID watch the damn Thailand adaptation T^T Yk, the F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. AND IT WAS LIKE YEARS AGO LOL. Also did NOT expect to write much for Kazutora, but I got excited and so much into it. I know akmost all the TKRV characters have some sort of issues, lol, but to me Kazutora's one sticks out the most. I honestly relate to him, and I sometimes see his trauma being overlooked or avoided a lot in the fandom, MAYBE, idk, don't jump me. But i said what i saw, yeah. I mayyyy make a separate post to talk about how Kazutora's issues may affect him both when he is in a relationship and when he is finally getting help. I love him, chat, in case it wasn't clear enough lol. Also, SORRY FOR THE HAKKAI FANS, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO WRITE FOR HIM. He's one is hella short. Don't get me wrong, i love my guy, but he lwk is just Takashi 2.0 T^T. So writing for him is confusing, frustrating, and lwk kinda make me have writer's block lol. Anyway enjoy!!
Alsoooo, support me if you liked my work, pretty please? buymeacoffee.com/who_ishana I'm lwk poor and need some cash :D
Chifuyu Matsuno
Chifuyu falls for you after watching you verbally destroy someone who was bullying a weaker student
He just stands there thinking, "Yeah, yep, that's definitely the coolest person I've ever met."
You seemed to have a habit of charging into situations that were none of your business without thinking, and Chifuyu becomes the person responsible for pulling you out before things get dangerous/heated
Every argument between you two starts because y'all both are stubborn af in your own ways. You refuse help because you're independent and believe you've got everything figured out. At the same time, Chifuyu insists on helping because he cares and doesn't want you to get seriously hurt
He secretly keeps a list of things you like so he can get them for you afterwards because you always brush off your needs/wants and claim you don't need anyone to buy you things
He admires how hard you work
Others may pity your struggles. However, Chifuyu respects them, and how you have yourself organised
You're the type to solve your own problems first and tell people afterwards, or maybe never unless they somehow find out. Chifuyu HATES that habit and is always frustrated that you wouldn't let him in to help
He often catches himself smiling whenever you go on one of your passionate rants about fairness, justice, or doing the right thing
The thing he admires most is that you never change your values depending on who's standing in front of you
He keeps bragging about you to Baji without realising it
Keisuke Baji
The first time you met, you probably almost got into a physical fight because neither of you knew how to back down, not to mention knowing how Keisuke can be when he wants to prove himself lmao
He thinks you're hilarious, and not because he finds you funny or your words unimportant
But because you'll march straight into situations with absolute confidence and then somehow make everything either chaotic or terriblely wrong if it meant you were standing up for someone or doing justice a favor
NEITHER of you are good at backing down during arguments
So yep, grab a chair, get your snacks, because this is a neverending cycle
You often smack the back of his head whenever he does something reckless
He finds your angry rants adorable, which only fuels your anger more
He trusts your judgment because you don't get blinded by popularity, reputation, or appearances easily
You become one of the few people who can actually make him apologise when he's wrong or being an asshole
What Baji respects most about you is that your courage isn't performative or because you were taught to be
You don't stand up for people because you want praise, you simply just do it because not doing it would bother your conscience and morality
Y'all probably are nightmare together for others T^T
He probably even starts picking fights less often because hearing your disappointed lectures somehow feels worse than getting punched
Takashi Mitsuya
He is immediately impressed by your resilience
While everyone else sees your temper first, he notices how much pressure you're carrying. He never tries to "fix" you
Y'all have mutual understanding going on in between
You often end up helping him with his sisters, and they're obsessed with you and already have you set up as their role models lol
He finds your stubborn independence frustrating sometimes because you refuse to lean on people when you need emotional stability
As i may have mentioned before, Takashi is observant, so it's natural that he notices immediately how exhausted you are before anyone else does and starts looking for alternatives to somehow make you take a break without getting a reaction out of you
He likes watching you challenge people who abuse their authority
He admires you for standing up for others, and wpuld get quite protective of you when you get in serious trouble while doing thr world a favour (MY MAN IS CONCERNED AS FUCK, AS MUCH AS HE FINDS YOUR DETERMINATION BEAUTIFUL)
The thing that melts him is seeing the rare moments when you allow yourself to be vulnerable
He is capable of talking you down when your temper starts getting the better of you, thanks to his calming and patient nature.
Takashi quietly becomes the person reminding you that being human isn't a failure and not always it's possible to be there for everyone which he knows is a hard pill for you to shwallow!
To him, you're basically a nice person trapped inside someone pretending not to be because the world is a cruel place to be soft in
He secretly enjoys watching you argue, and when it gets heated he quickly intervenes
He'll lwk be sitting there looking completely calm while you're passionately yet passive-aggressively explaining why somebody was wrong; meanwhile he's trying hard not to smile
He loves the fact that you don't expect perfection or anything extra from him
You respect him, but you don't put him on a pedestal
So if he's wrong, you'll tell him. If he's being stubborn, you'll tell him. If he's overworking himself, you'll definitely tell him!!
He actually appreciates it, and would do anything to keep hearing your concern about him that isn't coming from his sisters or gang mates
Manjiro "Mikey" Sano
Mikey is both fascinated and amused by you because you're completely immune to his reputation and would NOT hesitate to call him out on his bullshit
Everybody treats him like an untouchable Toman leader; after all, he's the Invincible Mikey, but you simply, flatly tell him he's being annoying when he's actually being annoying
He starts seeking you out specifically because your reactions are dryly honest yet humorous, especially the stare you seem to give him when he causes chaos
You refuse to give him the satisfaction of getting under your nerves and always scold him to stop all these gang or wtv bullshit since it's hurting others, your call
He secretly loves that and would purposely push your limits with faux coyness and would even take you to Toman meetings for shits and giggles
When he steals your food, you immediately steal it back or slap his hand away from your plate
Shinichiro looks at you two's dynamic and laughs because you're one of the only people who treat Mikey like a normal teenager and not just some grown-up (PLEASE, HE'S ALIVE, I'M TELLING YOU. IN MY UNIVERSE, EVERYONE IS ALIVE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH- except for Kisaki, he can go politely kiss his truck, for all i care)
Mikey likes watching you stand up to powerful people because it reminds him so much of his own older brother and Takemichi (listen, man, the bromance grind never stops)
The darker parts of Mikey's personality and lifestyle become harder to ignore around you because you have a habit of confronting problems directly, and you honestly have an un-ignorable saviour complex when it comes to him
Unlike most people, you never let him get away with everything, and when I say everything, it's LITERALLY everything
When Mikey withdraws emotionally, you're one of the few people stubborn enough to keep reaching out until he opens up or lets you in enough to stabilise him
Ken "Draken" Ryuguji
Draken immediately recognises that you're tougher than most people assume- not physically, though, but mentally and emotionally.
He respects how fiercely independent you are. Still, he's also the first person to point out when that independence becomes self-destructive and would not take no for an answer when he comes forward to help
Conversations between you two are surprisingly direct, mature, and pleasing because neither of you enjoys unnecessary drama
Someone can have power, money, strength, or influence. Still, if they're a bad person, you treat them accordingly and dgaf about their backgrounds, which is what Draken loves about you; your indifference to assholes
Draken shares that mindset and respects you for having self-worth
You both value character over appearance
Sometimes people assume you're difficult because you argue so much. Though Draken knows best
You're actually one of the most reliable people he's ever met
Once you care about someone, you're loyal to a fault, and he understands that better than anyone. Because he too prioritises loyalty and friendship a lot
He is ALWAYS hovering over you in case someone thinks of giving you a hard time, despite knowing you'll be fuming about it because "you can take care of your own self". But honey, buckle up, because this man would rather die than let you be unsupervised
Takemichi Hanagaki
At first, he is slightly terrified of you
Takemichi initially assumes you're way out of his league emotionally, which you kinda are
You're decisive, confident, direct, and brave. Meanwhile, he's overthinking everything and another chaos away from tearing up
But what attracts you to him is that he keeps moving forward despite being scared and anxious
Personality-wise, you're both stubborn idealists; you just express it differently than him
Takemichi is one of the few people who occasionally wins arguments against you, and he's sincere too!
Usually you can out-debate people, but he argues from his heart and makes good points (though some of them tend to be delusional, impulsive, or just straight-up dumb). Still, you just like to believe you are emotionally weak to genuineness!
You inspire him because you never give up, even when you're scared
He genuinely believes you're one of the strongest people he knows
Hakkai Shiba
Hakkai is stunned by how fearless you seem
You lwk become his role model before becoming his partner/friend
He's always asking for your opinions and statements because he values your words and seeks validation
So basically, he's your emotional support golden retriever who wants your attention hehe
He gets flustered every time you confront someone without hesitation, unlike him, who is too timid to be straightforward
Eventually, he learns how to disagree without immediately backing down or being afraid of making it worse; he credits you for that
Throughout your time together, you become one of his biggest sources of encouragement and motivation
He admires your strength, but also worries that you carry too much by yourself. And would offer beg to help you even if it's just by letting you vent to him or letting him take care of you
Kazutora Hanemiya
Kazutora expects you to judge him immediately, like everyone else did. Instead, you judged him based on his actions in the present, which completely throws him off
He finds your honesty intimidating because you always seem to see through excuses
Whenever he tries to push people away, you refuse to let him hide behind self-hatred
Kazutora admires your courage because you've faced hardship without letting it define who you are, and he wishes to be like you with his past
He becomes fiercely protective of you because you're one of the few people who genuinely believe he can become better, and to him, it means a lot
But honestly, can't lie, but the friendship/relationship will be emotionally/mentally toxic and exhausting. But that's for another post, i suppose
My take is that Kazutora notices how often you're looking at him with concern, and at first, he appreciates it too
But then he starts noticing it everywhere to the point it starts feeling repeated, and he feels like you feel obligated to help him because you feel sorry for him
You keep showing up whenever he's going through smth; he genuinely doesn't know how to react well to this other than accuse you of pitying him or pushing you away as harshly as possible, so you don't bother coming back
And you, being you, have absolutely zero patience for his self-destructive habits
In his mind, you only care because he's broken and you do have a case of helping out struggling people
He's not struggling, no, he's not. So why do you keep coming back even after he keeps trying to prove?
And then when he DOES seek you out, he starts depending on your reassurance more than he'd ever admit, and the constant dependence on you starts stressing you out
Making you feel his health and mentality is your responsibility, as you start ignoring your own
He may start slowly, believing that maybe he deserves happiness too
And honestly, you'd probably be the person who fought the hardest to make him believe it, even if it burned you out in the process
You're becoming emotionally exhausted trying to convince someone of something they refuse to believe, and only you and whatever deity is out there know how much you hate it when all these improvements start cracking when even the slightest thing triggers Kazutora's past
Sometimes Kazutora gets scared when things are actually going well
Happiness feels temporary to him after all that he went through
He's spent so much of his life expecting abandonment that stability feels suspicious, and he suspects you, too
So yeah, expect him to shut down once again, and again
The worst part is that the two of you are stuck in a cycle of push-and-pull
Eventually, even spending time together feels heavy, but neither person wants to leave. You two are too stubborn to do that
The problem is that you're too stubborn to walk away when someone is struggling, and you genuinely believe that if you're at least patient enough, he'll finally believe in himself
Writing prompt: "Obey Me!" characters realise they're in love randomly
A/N: Ugh, it took me almost 3 days to write this, and a day to debate whether it needs proofreading or not, and then I had a headache the whole day yesterday, not to mention a hospital visit, yeah. But it went well this time! Kinda lol. I really REALLY wanted to add Mephistopheles or however the fuck you spell out his name, but uhh the thing is... I don't know his character lore that much. And I'm like so far away from catching up with the fandom... ehh, anywayyy. enjoy!! i may or may not post 2 more posts after proofreading them or something; my draft almost feels like a basement atp
Lucifer
He's in love with you, and he never really paid much attention tot it until he realised it while trying to write a punishment report about you. You and Mammon had somehow managed to cause property damage at three separate locations within a single afternoon, and Lucifer is sitting at his desk documenting the incident with the sort of exhausted professionalism that only centuries of sibling management and a surprising amount of patience can produce. Everything was going fine until he reached the section where he's supposed to list repeat offences and catches himself smiling because the last time you'd gotten in trouble, you'd tried bribing him with a week of clean record. Lucifer immediately stops writing, then stares at the paper, then averts his gaze to the wall. Then rereads the sentence he just wrote and discovers he'd accidentally described you as "endearing" while trying to note down your behaviours during the situation. The report was later left abandoned for the rest of the evening.
Mammon
Mammon realises it as he's TRYING to prove he isn't. Somebody—cough Leviathan cough—accuses him of being attached to you both physically and emotionally, and naturally Mammon launches into a dramatic speech about how he doesn't need you following him around all the time, and he'd do completely fine without you. In fact, he'll prove it, or so he thought. He planned to spend the entire day doing his own thing: no texts, no calls, no hanging out. Easy! But well...
Six hours later, he's standing in the devilmart holding your favourite snack because he forgot his own challenge halfway through and instinctively bought something for you. The cashier had to repeat the total three times because Mammon is busy realising he may be the dumbest demon alive for realising it now.
Leviathan
Levi really didn't even know he was falling until during a convention, after you've spent six straight hours showing interest in his interests without a single complaint. You're carrying bags after you two were out for some shopping (surprisingly he tagged along after Asmo was supposedly missing to be your shopping buddy), discussing lore, listening to him ramble about obscure game mechanics, and somehow still look genuinely interested. At one point, he started apologising automatically for talking too much, his words stumbling here and there as he looked like he was one wrong look away from disappearing, expecting the usual reassurance for his constant shyness. Instead, you immediately launch into another question about the said game topic because you actually want to hear the answer and don't mind the rambling. Levi immediately forgets what he was saying. Nobody has ever made him feel less like a burden before. And unfortunately, that revelation collides directly with the realisation that he's staring at you like the protagonist of a romance anime. Oh shoot, you actually care enough to listen and stay. HE'S PANICKING LMAO
Satan
He had been trying to find a book he'd been looking for for months. An actual rare edition, too; the kind he'd spent weeks tracking down through obscure shops and even more obscure collectors. Normally, this would be the highlight of his week after a book hunt victory. He'd take it to his room, make himself tea, and disappear for the rest of the day until he finished the book. Instead, the second he gets his hands on it, his first thought is, "I should show them". Yep... He stops walking abruptly. Taking his sweet time to process what he just thought against his own better judgment, staring at the book in his hands like suddenly it's some curse. Why, exactly, would he want to do that? You probably don't even know how difficult it was to find. You certainly wouldn't appreciate the publication history behind it. Yet somehow the urge to find you and watch you smile politely while he rambles about it is stronger than the urge to immediately start reading. Frankly, he's offended by this development. He spends the next ten minutes trying to convince himself he's only looking for you because you'd be happy for him, which is a perfectly normal thing friends do. Unfortunately, the more he argues with himself, the more obvious the truth becomes. By the time he finally spots you, he's already decided he's absolutely not in love with you. He's just going to tell you about the book... That's all. The fact that he accidentally spends twenty minutes talking to you before even opening it is or even talking about the book itself, naturally, is totally unrelated and has nothing to do with him being in love. Totallyyy.
Asmodeus
Somebody mistakes you for his partner, and he corrects them automatically, and that's what threw him into the void of thoughts and realisation. It's such a reflexive response that he doesn't even think about it at first; he just laughs, flashes the demon a smile and says "Oh, no, we're not together". The conversation moves on, but for some reason he can't, he's stuck on it. Hours later, he's still thinking about it. Not because the demon got it wrong, but because of the strange feeling that settled in his chest when he corrected them. He starts replaying the exact moment, imagining what would've happened if he'd just smiled and let them assume. Then, much to his horror, he realises the reason it bothered him so much is that he didn't want to correct them. In fact, a small, embarrassingly sincere part of him wished they were right. And once that thought appears, everything else falls into place. The affection, the emotional attachment, the way he always gravitates toward you in a crowded room, how he always keeps you close. By the end of the day, Asmo is sprawled dramatically across a couch, mourning the fact that he voluntarily told the entire world you weren't his when, apparently, all he wants is to be yours. And you are just there, confused that you are the reason he is like this atm.
Beelzebub
Beel doesn't realise he's in love because, unfortunately ehh, Beel is Beel. The realisation happens for literally everyone else first, and Asmo claims to have known it from the start. You're all sitting together at "Horror's Horror" eating dessert when you casually mention that you've never tried whatever dessert Beel ordered. Without even looking up, he immediately holds out his fork and gives it to you. The last bite. The sacred bite, as Mammon would like to call it. The bite he'd been saving for the end to enjoy. You thank him and eat it, paying it no second thought. Beel just nods and keeps talking like nothing happened. The entire table goes silent, PAINFULLY so. Mammon is the first to react (ofc he was).
"WHAT DO YA MEAN YOU JUST GAVE 'EM THE LAST BITE?!" He practically shrieks, half-standing out of his chair already, "BEEL, YOU WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE LAST BITE IF I WAS DYIN'!"
Beel blinks, genuinely lost, "You are not dying, though."
Mammon looks ready to pass out or explode, maybe both, "THAT AIN'T THE POINT!"
By now, the rest of the brothers are staring. Even Lucifer has lowered his newspaper. Mammon is fully losing his mind, pointing dramatically across the table. "The Devildom could be ending. There could be total destruction. And if somebody pleaded, 'Beel, give up your last bite to save us,' you'd ask if there was another option!"
Beel frowns, genuinely considering this, "Maybe". Mammon lets out a noise of pure anguish. Meanwhile, Beel is still completely oblivious to why everyone is acting weird, only realising much later that night that giving you the last bite hadn't even felt like a sacrifice. In fact, seeing you enjoy it had somehow made him happier than eating it himself. Oh. Well. That explains a lot.
Belphegor
Belphie realised he was totally gone for you while you were being unbelievably annoying. At least, that's what he tells himself. You've somehow inserted yourself into his afternoon nap by sitting nearby and talking, completely uninvited, not even aware whether Beel was in their shared room or not while he keeps his eyes closed and pretends not to listen. Every few minutes, he throws out a dry comment telling you to be quiet or go bother someone else, and naturally you ignore him, knowing how grumpy and too extra he could be. Then, at some point, you get up and leave. The room goes silent, peaceful even. Exactly what he wanted. So why is he suddenly irritated? It wasn't in his nature to be like this just when he gets the precious time to sleep with no one breathing down his neck every second. Why is he opening one eye to check if you're actually gone? Why does the room feel weirdly empty now? Belphie spends several minutes sulking about it before the answer finally clicks into place, and it annoys him even more than before. The next time he sees you, he immediately acts like nothing happened and keeps telling you you're annoying, but more passive-aggressively and more often than before, as if it would somehow mask the fact he's in love. Unfortunately, he also ends up sitting next to you just five minutes later.
Solomon
And of course, the sorcerer realised during a cooking disaster. Specifically, a cooking disaster caused by him- cliché. The kitchen is full of smoke, half the ingredients are unrecognisable, and everyone nearby has evacuated for safety reasons. Everyone except you. You're standing beside him laughing so hard you're crying, occasionally clutching your stomach whenever your eyes land on the thing he'd somehow managed to create—a mess that looked less like food and more like some demonic entity that had come to life after being cooked—while still trying to help clean up around it. Most people would have left... most people should have left. Yet there you are, treating another one of Solomon's culinary crimes against nature like it's the funniest thing you've ever seen. Somewhere between the smoke alarm and your laughter, Solomon realises he'd happily burn down a thousand kitchens if it meant getting to see that expression again. (No thank, love, next time we can rely on restuarants ^^;)
Diavolo
It was a formal event where he was expected to spend the entire evening networking. Nobles are introducing themselves, socialites are discussing alliances, and Diavolo is politely smiling through all of it. Then he spots you across the room looking painfully bored and wary, obviously since you were a human among demons. The next thirty minutes are spent trying—and failing—to finish conversations as quickly as possible because all he wants to do is go stand beside you and accompany you. Every time he starts moving in your direction, another noble somehow appears. At one point, Barbatos quietly steps in front of him and redirects him toward a visiting dignitary—probably someone close to his father—with the smooth efficiency of someone preventing a natural disaster. Diavolo actually tries to look around him. Barbatos, completely deadpan, reminds him that as the future Demon King, he is currently supposed to be hosting the event rather than stalking a single guest across the ballroom. The realisation hits Diavolo right then, because his immediate thought isn't embarrassment—it's pouty annoyance that Barbatos is right. He's smiling more at the idea of making you laugh than he has during the entire evening, and unfortunately Barbatos notices that too. He says nothing; somehow that's worse— or good?? Depending how you want to take it.
Barbatos
Barbatos surprisingly realises he's in love far later than everyone else. Not because the feelings weren't there, but because he'd been following them almost entirely on instinct without ever stopping to examine them. He started scheduling his day around you without noticing, and it begins innocently enough too. Tea at a certain hour because you tend to pass through then. Completing tasks slightly earlier because you mentioned wanting to visit. Adjusting schedules by a few minutes here and there. Nothing major, or well, he tried to make sure of it. Then one afternoon, Diavolo casually asks whether a certain meeting time was changed for political reasons. Barbatos opens his mouth to answer and then realises the meeting was indeed moved, but not for the reason the Demon Prince thought. But because it conflicted with one of your visits. The silence that follows afterwards is truly devastating.
Simeon
Simeon realises after Luke points it out, and not even intentionally, funnily enough. Luke is simply talking about something unrelated when he suddenly asks why Simeon smiles differently around you. Simeon laughs and asks what that means, clearly intrigued. Luke immediately launches into a detailed explanation complete with examples, observations, and evidence gathered over several months you've been here. By the end of the conversation, Simeon feels like he's accidentally been presented with a court case, proving he's in love with two files' worth of evidence and logistics. The worst part is that Luke is completely oblivious to the emotional damage he's caused. Good luck to Simeon, and now he can't look you in the eyes without being reminded of Luke's not-so-obvious calling out of his past obliviousness to his feelings towards you.

Summary: After growing sick of the 108 suitors infesting the palace—Antinous most of all—Telemachus slips away in search of at least one day of freedom. Disguised as a commoner to avoid attention, he wanders through the busy agora, determined to escape the weight of his name and responsibilities as a prince. There, amidst the crowd, he somehow stumbles across a commoner, and for the first time in a long while, he finds himself unable to look away. Gathering the courage to talk to them, he soon discovers an unexpected ease in their company. They laugh together, tease one another, and spend the day like two ordinary young people: a person living a simple life and a boy desperate to outrun the identity that clings to him like a curse. But fate is rarely kind, and fleeting happiness was never meant to last forever.
A/N: it's so badly written that i'm genuinely weeping. Ugh, i hate my fucking life. I can't wait for school to finish. I'm so sorry if it has any spelling mistakes or lwk is just fucked up. I tried. my first idea was to make it a female reader but then i was talking to my friend and went like, "What's stopping me from making it a gender neutral one?" and well... here we are. Anyway, enjoy!

Telemachus was so unbelievably sick of the suitors. He was getting frustrated with their shenanigans and carelessness.
Every morning, they filled the palace like a plague. Eating his food, drinking his wine, laughing too loudly, and acting like they owned the place and his mother. Sometimes he wondered if they'd even notice if the roof collapsed on top of them.
Honestly, he was tempted to find out. Very.
"Prince!" one of them called from across the hall.
Telemachus immediately turned around and walked the other way. Nope, he wasn't doing this today.
He didn't even care which one it was.
The palace felt smaller every day. Everywhere he looked, there were greedy hands reaching for things that weren't theirs. The throne. The kingdom. His mother.
Antinous was the worst of them all.
The man seemed to appear out of nowhere whenever Telemachus was having a remotely decent day, or well, at least trying to have.
"Running off again, little wolf?" Antinous called.
Telemachus clenched his jaw.
"Just trying to avoid looking at your face."
A few of the suitors snickered. Antinous only smiled cruelly. That somehow made it worse; Telemachus wasn't in the mood to be starting something he knew he'd fail to finish.
"Careful, prince."
Telemachus hated the way the title sounded coming from him.
Like an insult. Like a joke. And it even was ironic the way the title rolled off Antinnous's tongue.
He left before Antinous could say anything else further.
For once, he didn't stop walking. Down the corridors, then past the servants. Lastly, out of the palace gates. By the time anyone noticed he was gone, he planned to be far away. Well... as far away as he could get without actually leaving Ithaca.
A simple tunic covered his body, nothing fancy. Nothing that screamed 'royalty'. Just a regular boy. At least, that was the idea.
The agora buzzed with life.
Vendors shouted over one another. Children darted between crowded stalls. Merchants argued over prices like their lives depended on it.
Telemachus couldn't remember the last time he'd walked through the city without guards hovering nearby.
It felt... nice.
Nobody bowed. Nobody called him prince. Nobody expected anything from him. And for the first time in weeks, he felt like he could breathe and be free. A grin tugged at his lips. Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all.
He immediately dropped to his knees to help gather them.
"I wasn't looking where I was going."
"No, really?" The person's voice said.
Telemachus froze.
The voice wasn't angry. In fact, it sounded amused, if anything.
He looked up and immediately forgot what he was about to say.
They was staring at him with raised eyebrows, trying and failing to hide a smile.
One of the escaped apples rolled past them.
Neither moved for a very awkward second. Then they laughed, which made Telemachus's face burn in embarrassment.
Great. Absolutely incredible.
The first pretty commoner he'd spoken to in months, and he'd nearly attacked them by being carelessly oblivious about his surroundings.
"Sorry," he said again, almost a murmur.
"That's twice now. Do you always apologise this much?"
He blinked. Then, despite himself, laughed. And somehow, for the first time all day, being Telemachus didn't seem quite so important anymore.
The rest of the day passed faster than Telemachus thought possible.
He even got to have their name. It was a pretty name.
No noble family attached to it. No grand title. No expectations.
They helped their uncle run a stall near the harbour and spent most days dealing with stubborn customers and fishermen who thought they could bargain their way out of paying.
Telemachus quickly learned they were impossible to embarrass. And unfortunately for him, they found it very easy to embarrass him.
"You've definitely never worked a day in your life."
"What?" Telemachus looked confused.
"The hands."
Telemachus looked down, "My hands?", his eyebrows furrowed together as he wondered what was wrong with his hands now.
"They're too clean."
He immediately shoved them behind his back. They laughed in response.
"See? Suspicious."
"I'm not suspicious."
"You absolutely are." They grinned mischievously.
Somehow, instead of feeling annoyed, he found himself smiling.
Hours slipped by as they wandered through the city together. They shared bread from a market stall. Watched street performers and tried to mimic their graceful moves. Argued over who won a game involving throwing stones at clay pots.
"I won." They bounced with excitement after winning.
"You cheated." Telemachus accused.
"I did not."
"You distracted me."
"That's not cheating," They shrugged as if it was merely just a fact.
"It should be."
The sun slowly drifted lower across the sky, and for a little while, Telemachus forgot everything waiting for him at home.
The suitors, the palace, the endless pressure. Even the thought of his missing father.
For once, he wasn't the prince of Ithaca. He was just a boy spending time with a person who made him laugh. He was just Telemachus here.
Then reality caught up to him, like a cruel joke played by the universe.
A group of palace guards appeared at the far end of the street. Telemachus felt his stomach drop. He knew what it meant.
They were searching... for him.
"Prince Telemachus!"
His head snapped toward the voice.
One of the guards had spotted him; so much for remaining anonymous.
The commoner's smile faded from beside Telemachus.
Telemachus closed his eyes.
Of course. Of course it had to end like this.
Slowly, he looked back at them. The friend he made for the day.
The realization was already spreading across their face.
"Telemachus?"
He winced, though nodded stifly.
"Yeah."
"The prince?"
"Yeah."
For a moment, they just stared.
Then they folded their arms.
"I knew you were hiding something."
He laughed weakly, "Was it that obvious?"
"The clean hands gave it away."
Despite everything, they smiled. A small one, still something to treasure. The kind that made his chest ache.
The guards were getting closer.
"My mother is probably concerned," he admitted.
"I'd imagine so."
"Actually, she's definitely concerned."
They laughed softly in return.
The sound made him wish he had another hour. Another day. Another week. Anything, just to hear for.
Instead, he had minutes, maybe even less.
The street suddenly felt too crowded. Too loud for his liking.
"I should go," He said quietly.
"Probably." Yet neither of them moved.
The guards were calling his name again.
Still neither moved.
Telemachus hated this, hated that the best day he'd had in years was ending. That tomorrow he'd wake up, and everything would go back to 'normal', for his world, so, yeah.
Most of all, he hated that he'd met them at all. Because now he knew what he was missing.
They glanced away first, "Well, Your Highness."
The title sounded strange coming from them. Not cruel, nor mocking. Just the truth. A heavy one.
Telemachus stepped closer.
"Don't call me that."
"Why not?"
"Because I liked it better when I was just some random guy who ran into you."
A smile tugged at their lips.
"You nearly destroyed my apples."
"I said I was sorry."
"Twice."
"Three times, actually. Well, maybe?"
They laughed again.
Gods, he was going to miss that. The guards were only a short distance away now. One more minute. Maybe two.
Telemachus took a breath. "I'll come back."
The words left his mouth before he could overthink them.
They blinked, clearly not expecting this.
"What?"
"I mean it."
He swallowed, "I'll come find you again."
For a second, uncertainty flashed across their face, "You don't know if you'll be able to."
"No."
"The palace probably won't let you wander around whenever you want."
"Probably not."
"You'll be busy."
"Definitely."
"So you're making promises you can't keep." It was a statement.
Telemachus smiled bittersweetly. Maybe they were right. Maybe things would get in the way, and this would be their first and last meeting.
Maybe he'd get dragged into responsibilities and obligations and all the things he'd spent today trying to escape.
But for the first time in a long while, he wanted something for himself. Not for Ithaca. Not for his mother. Not for the memory of a father he'd never really known.
For himself only, and that mattered.
"I'll find a way."
They studied him for a moment before they held out their hand.
"Then I'll be waiting."
Telemachus stared at it, then took it.
Their hand were warm, pleasing to hold onto. The kind of thing he wanted to remember.
The guards finally reached them, and they all started speaking, words spilling over one another.
"Prince Telemachus!"
"There you are!"
"We've been searching everywhere!"
Telemachus groaned, while they covered a laugh.
One of the guards looked between them suspiciously.
Telemachus ignored him. Instead, he looked at them one last time.
"I'll see you again."
The smile they gave him was small but genuine.
"I'll believe it when I see it."
Telemachus grinned. Fair enough. Reluctantly, he let go of their hand.
Then he turned and followed the guards away. Halfway down the street, he looked back. They were still there, watching him go.
When they noticed him looking, they lifted a hand to bid goodbye.
He waved back almost immediately.
And for the first time in years, the walk back to the palace didn't feel quite so heavy, or well, it did when he had to leave behind the only person who saw him as nothing but just a regular boy.
Maybe tomorrow would be difficult; the suitors would still be there. Maybe Antinous would still be insufferable, or twice as much.
But somewhere in Ithaca, there was a commoner waiting for him, and for now, that was enough.
Writing prompt: Tokyo Revengers characters with a S/O who has social anxiety
A/n: tadaaaaaaa, i'm backkk- barely. I knowww!! it has been ages, lwk i juggled between taking care of my mental health, staying at hospitals, tryna socialise, and then there's my stupid school and educators blah blah blah. Honestly, life feels so exhausting, i'm gonna repeat my sophomore year again T^T anyway, hope you liked it! Also a small warning, it ain't proofread, don't have the time ngl. Might fix later, idk, can't promise.
Pleaseeeee helppppp, if yaaa want! buymeacoffee.com/who_ishana
Chifuyu Matsuno
He is very cautious abt taking you outside
He prefers keeping you beside him/in front of his sight in crowded places, so you don't get lost or end up having an anxiety attack
He wouldn't force you to talk or socialise, and would take care of most of the talking work himself
If you're at a group hangout with the gang, he'll point out the people you didn't meet before, say who's who and what's going on, so you don't feel lost
He is like a live social translator for you lol
Like, if someone is talking with you and you are not sure how to tell smth, he'll gently chime in, "They mean this"
He is proud of you a lot when you find the courage to talk to cashiers or strangers, and would get you ice cream as a reward
He always makes sure you are alright with the places before looking for date spots
When your anxiety gets bad and you start apologizing for being awkward or "weird" while talking, Chifuyu looks genuinely confused because he honestly likes listening to you, even when you ramble nervously (especially then, his words)
He also seems to be the type to quietly squeeze your hand whenever he notices you starting to shut down socially and avoid being involved in extroverted activities/conversation in a big group
Keisuke Baji
Keisuke is terrible at handling emotions delicately at first, but somehow that ends up helping you more than expected
Like he honestly does not understand social anxiety at first
He is the type to loudly ask, "Why are you scared of people? What did they do to you?"
But once he realises it genuinely affects you, he gets weirdly protective
He doesn't overanalyse your anxiety or make everything serious. If he notices you getting nervous in public, he'll just casually pull your attention somewhere else like, "Hey, look at that dumb dog," while dragging you away from the crowd like you're a Ragdoll
He absolutely HATES seeing people talk over you. The second someone interrupts you, he cuts back in with "Oi, they were talking" before giving you his full attention, like you were declaring a national royal announcement
If you get anxious about texting first or bothering him, dw because he accidentally solves the issue by messaging you constantly all the time. Half his texts make no sense, like sometimes he sends random pictures with absolutely no context
He's also weirdly patient when it comes to social burnout
So like if you suddenly go quiet during hangouts, he doesn't pressure you to talk. He'll just sit beside you doing his own thing until you start feeling okay again
He definitely brags about every tiny social victory you make
"Did you hear them order that by themselves? Crazy, right?"
Takashi Mitsuya
Takashi is naturally calming, and talking to him feels less like a chore, which helps you feel at ease with talking. And even if you don't feel like talking or engaging, he's okay with that, too. He'll just patiently wait for whenever you feel like speaking up again
His sisters adore you because Mitsuya talks about you as if you hung the moon, and they also know not to overstimulate you with too many questions and attention
Mitsuya is patient in any way possible. So you never gotta apologise for completely shutting down socially, because he is there for you whenever you need him
He honestly loves those quiet domestic moments with you. Like sitting together while he sews, listening to music tgt, occasionally looking up just to check if you are doing fine
He has this habit of speaking for both of you in public situations without making it obvious. So you don't gotta panic hehe
He is also the type to gently prepare you for social situations beforehand like "Mikey's gonna be there. Emma too. Probably Baji too, if he's not timed out like last time"
Manjiro "Mikey" Sano
Ngl I feel like Mikey would be very oblivious at first about your anxiety
He is too loud, impulsive, and chaotic to immediately notice the smaller signs
At first, he just assumes you are just introverted, and it takes Draken pointing out that you look genuinely stressed in crowds for Mikey to finally realise something is wrong
If he sees you getting overwhelmed during a group gathering or smth, he just randomly decides both of you should leave ASAP. No explanation needed. Because suddenly he is dragging you to get taiyaki instead
He also has no problem with you being a bit clingy when you get nervous in public. You holding onto his sleeve while you walk barely even registers in his mind
Oddly enough, people bothering you becomes one of the few things that genuinely irritates him
Mikey gets exhausted by people constantly expecting things from him, so being around someone who does not demand energy from him feels pleasant
He drags you places all the time, but never forces you to interact once you get there
And half the time, you are just sitting beside him while he yaps and fools around with Draken tagging along to babysit him
He is also unintentionally good at distracting you from spiralling thoughts because his attention span is terrible as fuck
Like you could be mid-panic, and suddenly he is asking if penguins have knees or if lizards are secretly shapeshifters
Ken "Draken" Ryuguji
Draken has the calmest approach to your anxiety out of everyone
He never rushes you; instead, he waits for you to be ready
If you need an extra 10 minutes outside a crowded building/store to mentally prepare yourself, he waits with you with no protest
When someone makes you uncomfortable, Draken notices immediately from your body language alone and steps in
You never have to explain yourself around him, since he is very observant and deeply cares about how you feel
Draken naturally feels the need to position himself as someone you see as your beacon
He often finds himself standing between you and strangers, guiding you through crowds with his hand on your back, and even reassuring you by letting you fidget with his hands when you are overwelmbed or letting you cling to him in public places
Takemichi Hanagaki
Ok ok, i'm gonna be honest... Y'ALL ARE BOTH COOKED—
Takemichi high key understands anxiety deeply because he is anxious himself T^T
The two of you are honestly a mess together most times
You both would be rehearsing conversations before entering stores. You both would overthink too much. And there are moments where neither of you wants to ask for help, so you just stand there suffering silently together while stubbornly refusing to let yourselves be the first to reach out
Lmao i can literally see the two of you probably spending hours apologising to each other over things that were not even problems
But hey, being almost the same ain't entirely a bad idea
Because Takemichi makes you feel understood in a way nobody else can and he tries to be the strongest in the relationship just for the sake of you
If you panic during social situations, he never tells you to stop overreacting or doesn't act embarrassed by it because he knows exactly how awful it feels
He hypes you up constantly too
"You did amazing!"
Meanwhile, all you did was say hi to someone
Takemichi is the kind of boyfriend who gets emotional when you slowly start opening up more around his friends because he knows how hard that was for you
Hakkai Shiba
Hakkai is surprisingly shy himself, so your relationship starts off very quiet and kinda awkward at first
A lot of your early bonding is just existing in the same room comfortably
He understands the fear of saying the wrong thing, so he never pressures you to talk more than you want to
Hakkai also gets nervous introducing you to people because he wants everyone to like you so badly
LIKE THIS BOY IS PATHETICALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU AND MIGHT WEEP IF SOMEONE EVEN SAYS THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF MEAN THING
If somebody is too intense around you, he subtly redirects their attention away before you can get overwhelmed
He absolutely melts if you initiate physical affection in public first because he knows how difficult that can be for you to show affection in front of lots of eyes
So y'all are just two nervous and unsure people trying their best with each other and navigate the world together
Kazutora Hanemiya
Kazutora recognises the signs of you getting overstimulated by all those multiple conversations almost instantly because he knows what it is like to feel constantly on edge
He is actually gentler with you than most people expect
When you get overwhelmed, he never forces you to explain yourself
He just quietly stays nearby until you are ready again
Kazutora understands avoidance habits way too well, so he notices when you are isolating yourself. So he starts casually showing up more often after that, just so you don't stay up in the dark (both metaphorically and literally) for too lont
He likes late-night walks with you because there are fewer people around at that time, and both of you can relax more freely
Sometimes, he absentmindedly plays with your fingers if he notices you picking at your skin from nervousness/bad coping mechanism
Kazutora also gets irrationally angry when people call you "too quiet" or say how you are missing out by being too closed off, and you gotta get out of your shell, because he knows how exhausting it is when people act like that
