It’s easy for people to empathize with people who are self destructive. It’s harder for people to empathize with abusers, bullies, etc.

I don’t want to hear any BS from self-proclaimed “mental health advocates” who think that behavior which hurts others is somehow exempt from being a real way in which a mental disorder can manifest, or that people who manifest that way somehow don’t deserve treatment and forgiveness.

Sometimes I’ll see a post from someone talking about a form of racism, and I’ll just be like “racist people say shit like THAT?!” And I’ll question how society is still functioning.
