My one boring tip to anyone in their 20s is to resist the temptation to rot in your room every time you get a free moment. Dismiss any neuroses you have about going outside and "being perceived". Be a dictator about it, plan your hangouts like they are binding commitments. No excuses! Go to the bar with your friends. Be kinda hungover at work. Socializing is like exercise; even if you don't feel like you want to, you should still do it because it's good for you.

Start disappointing people and not backing out of it when they are upset, reject feeling ashamed of everything including of yourself, start saying No to things you do not want to do not just things you're scared of, do more of those things you're scared of but wish you could do, make your own plans and execute them, decide to do or not do something without basing it on who will Dislike it.

That fucking dead eyed stare. The turning off of the lights immediately after this. The knowledge that he was GOING to talk to the mermaid, the creature that mentally and physically scarred mortuga for life and caused all that damage to the aft deck—

And then when you arrive to see this.

It's SO GOOD. IT'S SO GOOD

Everything about this ending was exactly what I missed in the previous one– the resolution was absolutely top-notch

I'm so fucking obsessed with it I fear. I might have to replay it again immediately.
