HAPPY NEW YEAR YA GOOFBALL!
Heppy new year to you as well! Sorry I’ve seem to have let the place go during the past year.

((I got alot of work to do and stuff, cant do much today on here))
*throws the door open* "Oh Dee! Thank God, There you are! I've been worried sick looking all over the place for you! Where have you been? I'm glad I found you, are you okay? Are you hurt? It's been what... a week? Maybe more?" (wholewheatly ;D)
Dee hadn’t been doing much. After all, she had just woken up from a long night’s rest in the broken relaxation chamber she called home. It wasn’t much, but it still made due with a little cleaning and some homey touches (the plastic flowers did add a bit of color to the place, after all). The drowsy android had just begun to brush out her short, artificial hair when the door to her place was thrown open. Initially, she had pointed her brush defensively at the intruder, preparing to strike if they tried to attack. However, seeing the familiar face of her dear friend made her drop it in an instant, rushing over to throw her arms over the grinning Wheatley.
“Wheatley! Jeez, don’t scare me like that! Where have you been? I was looking for some spare parts, seeing if I could maybe make my own tests and…well, you just disappeared! I couldn’t find you anywhere. What about you, are you okay? Nothing damaged? Oh, what does it matter! I missed you, Wheaters!”
Wheatley didn’t have to be told twice, if Dee had a plan as to get them out of this he was all for it. He himself was quite terrorized by death and he instantly clung to Dee when she told him to. He did question her though as they started to fall, being a long drop they had some time for last remarks.
“What are you doing?” He asked, his voice a bit high and squeaky from his fear factor kicking in. “I mean I guess we might as well hug for our last moments before we hit rock bottom, literally.” He started to ramble as they were falling. “Oh Dee I’m so sorry this is all my fault, I should have just ignored the fact GLaDOS broke down, it was always a stupid dream to think I could get out of this place, and look where chasing that dream has brought me, brought us! We’re going to die, splat like a pancake any second, and it’s all my fault! All of it! I’m sorry, I really am sorry!”
She had more than a plan. She was built for this sort of thing. It took her just but a second to focus her processor, just for a brief second, all the time internally tricking her mind into thinking that all of this, from the danger to the difficult landscape, was nothing but a simple test. “Just a test…it’s a test…” Dee whispered to herself, gritting her teeth as she felt it, that sheer need to solve whatever lie in front of her. Yes, the itch was finally complying. The moment Wheatley held onto her, she grabbed him with both arms as they began to plummet, wrapping one arm under his legs and letting the other support his back. Things began to slow in front of her eyes as her programming took over, calculating the best way to the solution. She could see the giant slab of concrete beginning to fall, and she let herself grin. With one swift movement, she pushed off with a foot as hard as she could, letting the two of them fly upwards and backwards.
“Brace yourself!” Dee shouted, maneuvering her heel so just the metal end of the boot, the brace end, came into contact with the opposite end of the metal walkway that paralleled the ruins of the informations center. One funny thing about the long fall boots, she had discovered when they were first strapped onto their feet, is that they weren’t just good at absorbing the shock of a fall, but they could also be used to repel that energy and act, in short, as long jump boots. The two went flying forward, and Dee had to swing her legs in front of her to catch themselves on the top pile of rubble of the original platform. Dee let out grunt of pain as th crashed, losing her footing as the two came rolling down to a stop at the bottom of the small pile. Dee was still holding onto Wheatley for dear life, except something was wrong. Dee was unconscious.
After bracing the impact and not having enough time to process exactly what had just happened, once landed and now at a stop, Wheatley opened his eyes to see that they were safe and sound.
“...I.. what.. how..” He stammered looking back at the ruins of the flooring, which now eventually made a loud crash and blew dust and smoke up as it finally hit the bottom. “We’re alive! We are actually alive! We survived!” He turned to look at Dee “Dee I don’t know what you just did but you are defiantly my hero! you saved us both that was amaz- Dee?”
The feeling of fear hadn’t left the core completely. He let himself up and poked at his friend who wasn’t responding. “Dee... Dee c’mon now it’s over, wake up.” He knelt down to face her more properly. “Did... did you knock something loose, c’mon now...” He started to panic again when she didn’t respond to him. “Oh no... nonononon! You’re hurt aren’t you! Again! all my fault this is all my fault!”
After taking a moment to go into another spiel of self pity and complaints, a number of “what do i do now” or “what if’s” that he dare not answer he drew his attention back again to the unconscious android. “Dee... Dee please wake up...”

I couldn’t find you anywhere. What about you, are you okay? Nothing damaged? Oh, what does it matter! I missed you, Wheaters!”
Wheatley almost let out a sight of relief being able to feel Dee’s hand in his own, but that feeling only lasted so long, before he could get the words “I got you” out of his vocal processor, he too could feel the ground give way under them.
Wheatley still held tight onto Dee with incredible strength that one wouldn’t think such a fragile android core such as himself could posses. The concrete platform buckled and cracked like a tree branch and hung now at an almost vertical incline, only holding on by the quickly breaking weak and rusted metal supports that were embedded into it and connected into the rest of the stable flooring.
“No… nonononononon!” Wheatley tried to hold onto Dee the best he could as he tried to push up against the wall, trying not to let the pair slip any further but he could only keep it up for so long, and there was no way he was able to reach the new ledge now. A dreadful thought crossed his mind, this… this could be the end, of the both of them, couldn’t it?
The moment Wheatley’s hand came into contact with her own, Dee grabbed hold and held on for dear life. Though her grip may have been a little too hard, considering how terrified she was and the intensity of the moment. For just a fraction of a second, Dee thought that everything was going to be okay.
And then it ended as the world came crumbling down around them. The ledge started to snap away from the rest of the platform, and the two of them struggled to hold onto each other’s hand as gravity began to gain its massive hold. Dee’s eyes were wide with terror. This couldn’t be the end, could it? They couldn’t just die like this! The female android began to panic as she tried to gain a foothold on the concrete, her old long fall boots clacking against the harshness of the long slab.
Wait a minute…long fall boots… Dee gritted her teeth, eyes filling with determination. In one swift move, she grabbed Wheatley’s arm and pulled him towards her. “Wheatley, hold me! Now!”
Wheatley didn’t have to be told twice, if Dee had a plan as to get them out of this he was all for it. He himself was quite terrorized by death and he instantly clung to Dee when she told him to. I couldn’t find you anywhere. What about you, are you okay? Nothing damaged? Oh, what does it matter! I missed you, Wheaters!”
Wheatley looked back up again, he watched as the ground started to break more. What was he suppose to do? What could he do? He was such an idiot, loosing the rope like that. He got them into this mess, this was all his fault and now Dee was going to-
No, no he wouldn’t let that happen, he wasn’t going to loose someone else. He took many breaths of air, and decided there was only one option, make an attempt to reach her himself.
Wheatley stiffened up and took one step forward. The ground made an unpleasant sound under him. Another step. It started to bend slightly as more pieces could be heard breaking off and falling below. One more step. The ground dropped slightly, but didn’t break. Wheatley was shaking now, Dee was just right there, so close but yet so far away, he wondered if being slow would be easier or to just run and grab her and run back?
Careful was probably the best route. He knelt down trying to balance his weight to keep the ground from giving way. He reached out, trying to grab hold of Dee. “Here! I’m here! Quickly now quickly! Just… Just grab onto me, I got you!” He extended his hand, almost able to reach her but not quite, but one more movement to the edge could spell disaster…
He was starting to move toward her. That much she could see through her watery, blurry vision. He was still making an attempt to save her. Dee could feel her power source pounding away inside her chest, giving her that last little bit of hope and strength. She knew she had to get to him, there wasn’t much time. The ground she held onto o dearly was crumbling away from her like a century-old cookie, threatening to give way at any second, but she had to at least try and reach him.
As Wheatley moved closer to her still, ever so slowly, Dee blinked once, allowing the wetness of her eyes to clear from her vision so she could get a better look at him. Wow, if he was as scared as he looked, he almost seemed as terrified as her. But Dee knew she couldn’t stay on this ledge forever. It was like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. Dee used the last of her strength to pull herself up and get a better grip on the ledge, sucking in a deep breath as she reached out with one hand.
“Please…don’t let me fall…” They were so close, their fingertips just a millimeter apart, they were so close.
As the ends of their fingers met, Dee could feel the ground start to give way.
Wheatley almost let out a sight of relief being able to feel Dee’s hand in his own, but that feeling only lasted so long, before he could get the words “I got you” out of his vocal processor, he too could feel the ground give way under them.

Wheatly responded trying to keep her calm as he struggled to tie together the blasted wires to make something strong enough that wouldn’t give way. “Right! Hold on you wont fall. I won’t let you! J-Just hold on a bit longer!” He needed a few more wires, it was still too short to toss her way, he just needed like, one more.
He dashed about quickly looking around the area as quickly as he could, he sighed with relief as he quickly fastened it and returned to Dee who was on the very verge of falling. “Look! Look here! I made a rope with these wires here, I… I’m going to throw it to you now, catch it and… and I’ll pull you up! Simple as that, you’re going to be fine!”
Wheatley got as close to the ledge as he could without entering the danger zone and lined up his aim with the end of the make shift rope in hand, he steadied himself and tossed it-
And he missed. Of course he missed. Not only that, the moron didn’t think to tie the other end to something and lost the rope entirely, down over the edge. Wheatley quickly realized his mistake and face palmed. “Ohmygod!” Now what was he to do?!
Even though she was made of the sturdiest forms of metal and wiring, even her own strength didn’t last long. Her body had only been build for testing, which didn’t really require any upper body strength of any kind, and now it was this design flaw that was coming back to bite her in the BUS drive. Dee watched as the small fissures in the concrete began to grow, like spider webs or claws, and she knew they were running out of time. It wouldn’t be long now, Dee reassured herself as she watched Wheatley quickly construct a rope, he was going to get her out of this. He had promised.
But that small comfort was torn away from her as, in a swift moment of error, the rope was lost to them. No. Nonono this couldn’t be happening! He said he would get her out, it couldn’t just end like this! It couldn’t! Dee’s arm started to squeak in strain as she could feel her grip faltering, and her eyes began to sting as artificial drops of water began leaking from them. It couldn’t just end like this! Dee held on as tightly as she could, trying to pull up desperately with little result. “Wheatley…please…”

Whaddyu think of Rick?
“Rick? Oh he’s alright I guess. I mean he can get a bit out of hand sometimes, a little too extreme with his thirst for adventure but when he’s not getting on like that he’s a fine bloke. I enjoy listening to his many stories.”
*throws the door open* "Oh Dee! Thank God, There you are! I've been worried sick looking all over the place for you! Where have you been? I'm glad I found you, are you okay? Are you hurt? It's been what... a week? Maybe more?" (wholewheatly ;D)

I couldn’t find you anywhere. What about you, are you okay? Nothing damaged? Oh, what does it matter! I missed you, Wheaters!”
Wheatley flinched suddenly with the large sound of the crash. He quickly stopped what he was doing and bringing himself back into the moment, he looked horrified to the massive hole that was now in the flooring. It took another moment for him to process what exactly just happened, but quickly enough he jumped to his feet panicked and worried even more now for his dear friend.
“Oh… Oh! Dee! Dee hold on! Are you alright j-just hold on!” Wheatley tried to walk to the ledge to help her but quickly stopped and pulled back as he heard the cracking of the concrete and the small rubble that broke off and crumbled to the long drop below, it wasn’t safe to go near the ledge, if he attempted to his weight would be enough to make the rest of the floor give way, and they both would be taking the harsh plummet.
“…Dee… Dee hold on! Just hold on! Please! Oh what do I do what do I do!” His voice cracked as he looked around the area for something, anything he could do, anything he could use. A stick of some sort, something. Luckily there was some old cords and wires from old electronics laying around, he got the brilliant idea to attempt to make a rope, he hoped he had enough time.
Dee was nearly panicking now, her small grip on the cracked ledge like iron as her lungs began to quickly cycle air in and out as beads of coolant ran down her white face. Useless functions, as she didn’t need oxygen to breathe, but it was her systems mimicking what humans would call ‘fear for one’s life’. And that was an understatement. Dee was terrified.
She could feel the ledge slowly crumbling beneath her fingers, which made her want to stop flailing about to try and get a foothold, but it was a useless endeavor. Her wide, petrified eyes never once left Wheatley’s panicked face as he searched about for a means of saving her. It was nearly a fifty foot drop, if not more. A serious fall like that could put her offline for good, if not worse. Her voice seemed to ball up in knots in her throat, making her frightened words no more than panicked whimpers. “Wheat-Wheatley…I…I can’t….I don’t want to fall…Wheatley, please! H…help…”
Wheatly responded trying to keep her calm as he struggled to tie together the blasted wires to make something strong enough that wouldn’t give way. “Right! Hold on you wont fall. I won’t let you! Wheatley let go of Dee’s hand, rushing ahead of her now, ignoring the creaking of the old flooring and heading to the demolished information desk. “Oh no no no!” He cried walking up to it and looking at the ruins. “Of all things to fall apart it had to be this!?”
He knelt down in the rubble looking around. “There has to be a map here! There has to be! They used to have the big painted one on the sign but that’s clearly gone but they have to have little floor plans lying around somewhere? Anywhere!?” He got a bit aggressive as he started to toss old plaster pieces and broken wood around trying to find something, anything.
“The ceiling must’ve collapsed on top of it, long ago.” Dee called ahead to him, walking carefully to catch up with him. The metal walkway below them was starting to get louder and louder with each step, and the slight buckling underneath their feet wasn’t sounding too pleasant either.
Wheatley was starting to get frantic now, and as Dee approached the piles of rubble, she could see and hear the hanging railway start to shift as each piece of flung plaster and wood hit it with a noisy clang. “Wheatley…” Dee’s eyes widened, “Wheatley, stop! The railway’s going to coll-AH!” The floor fell from underneath her with a sudden smash, and Dee’s artificial hands quickly grasped onto the concrete ledging where Wheatley and the rubble lay safe out of harm. She was losing her grip fast as she struggled to pull herself up. Too bad the scientists hadn’t built her with more strength.

Wheatley was pulled out of the slight trance he was in, wondering when he lost his lead and Dee had taken over. He didn’t mind much at all though. “uh… U-uh yeah. Around here somewhere there should be. Usually it’s near the entrance where humans used to first come down here. That way maybe?” He pointed in a direction.
Dee nodded quietly, her grip on his hand was firm as they walked briskly along the metal corridors surrounding the relaxation center. With every hurried step they took, the metal underneath their feet creaked and groaned like an old beast that was just beginning to wake up. She took note of this, turning her head to look at Wheatley as he pointed in the right direction. “Careful, some of these walkways may be unstable…” The last thing they needed was a long fall, after all. She let out an artificial cough as another creaking noise sounded through the air. “I think I see the informations desk up there…or what’s left of it.”
