Billy: The Early Years
Okay so many moons ago (actually less than 10 years, but I digress) Armie did a weirdo, borderline-Evangelical Christian-propaganda movie (possibly in a move to placate his bigoted parents, who knows?) about the early years of Billy Graham’s life entitled “Billy: the Early Years”. Apparently it’s a godawful, tire-iron-fire of a movie. HOWEVER, we have it to thank for that picture of Armie in overalls. And also, there is apparently a ton of latent homoeroticism throughout the film. I would like to see it for that reason alone (well, and a 22 year-old Armie Hammer). Methinks it would be hard to find but if you want to try, here are some incentives:
Take me to church oh blonde-haired, blue eyed, statuesque paragon of manly perfection!
Did he know that in 8 years that tongue would be getting a workout in Timmy Chalamet’s mouth?
Armie hitting a baseball in a tank top and hello how are you!
Some men are ridiculously handsome and make you want to revel in their manliness . Armie Hammer is one such man. Picture this incarnation cavorting in a field with Timmy. Please, take your time.
Armie, showing vague signs of the smartass smirk he would soon come to perfect in “The Social Network”. Here his eyes are saying “No homo!” (as per the plot of the movie) while his lips are saying, “Well, if you insist.”
A dude that looks like a young Michael Stuhlbarg (to me) getting awful handsy with the future Mr. Chalamet-Hammer.
Interviewer: um, first impressions of each other when you both first met?
Timmy: man this guy’s huuuge

my dad recently saw The Man From U.N.C.L.E and then later Armie Hammer presenting with Gal Gadot at the Oscars and i’ve been trying to explain to him that he is not Russian ever since.

The meeting of Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder is one of my favorite scenes in the pilot. Mireille and Joel are just – they have this incredible charisma and humor and just this magical quality, you know, when they’re together, that’s just so incredibly appealing. - Veena Sud (developer/EP of The Killing), “Pilot” DVD commentary
