Yellow journalism is when a news source sells headlines rather than content.  Here is IGN taking a tweet from Randy Pitchford as clear confirmation of a new Borderlands.  There is nothing, and I do mean nothing to base this story on.  This article's headline and content were purely designed to make people click the page and line IGN's wallet without delivering any actual content to their readers.  This is what IGN is, people.  When there are video game bloggers who work non-profit and do a better job delivering video game news you don't owe these people anything.

It was such an amazing reference that IGN's writers misspelled the title.

On IGN it's hard to tell whether something is a typo or terrible puns.

As it currently exists IGN sucks.  If you support my cause you know our goal is to remind everyone of IGN's bullship and hopefully someday be given back the honest journalis, site gamers deserve.   Message me to be become an agent in IGN's reckoning.  Together we will create a better IGN or make out own content site.

Sin #84  March 27, 2014 The supposedly respected news source IGN releases an article about FTL but uses the iconic Arwing from Starfox to bring the viewers in.  This is not some random mistake.  IGN diliberatey delecetd tgus shio unrelated to because they knew the Star Fox image would bring in clicks and revenue,  This but one example of IGN's weak journalism, and the one that me to create this blog.  I will continue to update it as soon as news reaches me (given it's IGN it should be within hours).

I've noticed a lot of shenanigans and outright BS going on at the gaming/entertainment journalism site IGN.  It is for this reason I plan to make a record of each and every bit of yellow journalism and manipulative headlines.   If you have an quote or article you'd like to be referenced please send it over!   It's time to roast this turkey!
