"I heard Kieran refer to our daughter as three apples tall," Sylus tells you, puzzled. "What does that mean?"
You smile, instantly amused. "It's an internet thing," you reply. "I'd explain it to you but I think you should research it yourself. It'd give your old man brain something to do."
"Said old man is running multiple successful business everyday," he reminds you, smiling. "Plus you married this old man so who's the odd one here, hmm?"
"Still you." You snort, patting his chest. "I only married you for your trillions anyway."
"More than trillions but who's counting?" He says, grinning when you throw your head back with a loud laugh.
"Ooooh, tell me more about how you're the richest man in the world," you simper teasingly, leaning into his space. His arms coil around your waist instinctively, pulling you closer until not even a inch of air exists between you both. "Tell me about all your fancy cars and motorcycles and all the properties you own. And go into excruciating detail."
Sylus hums, falling into your mischief with a simple step. "I'll do that for you and me," he promises. "But on one condition."
"The internet is your friend, Sy. Find it out yourself."
He curses under his breath before kissing your laughing mouth quiet.
It's only when Sylus comes into your shared room cradling your baby girl that you see he's done his research.
He looks a little teary-eyed, holding your daughter close to his chest as she babbles happily into it.
"She is three apples tall," he murmurs then sniffles, hiding his face into her soft hair. "She's tiny."
You see his shoulders slightly tremble and smile, coming up to hold your family in your arms.
"I know, love. I know."
