- injured eddie in a game of basketball because he was afraid he was gonna lose him

- sued the department and made everyone recount their VERY recent traumas (do i understand why did it? absolutely yes, he was in the throes of his depression and spiraling about he was gonna lose everyone. but was eddie ALSO in the throes of his grief over shannon and ALSO actively spiraling about that? ALSO YES.)

i’m SURE there are more examples but these are the most wide spanning storylines and the most representative of the point i wanna make. this isn’t to demonize buck; it’s to put into perspective what eddies going through because apparently empathy goes out the window when it comes to characters of color sorry!!! i don’t understand how people don’t understand the complexity of what’s happening here. buck has a habit of making things about him because of HIS trauma and upbringing and eddie has a habit of deflecting and repressing until he explodes because of HIS trauma and upbringing. mix that with grief as intense as this and things are BOUND to explode!!!! DUHHH!!!!!
