Read at your own peril…I have sobered up…wisened up and now feel the need to express my true thoughts and feelings. ( I know, I know, I said I would ignore it but sorry can’t got cranky) If you do not like them please scroll on or block me…no hate. And let me preface this by saying ( before I start the rant)

Now off we go ( bear with me it is a long one).

Let me tell you a little story……

Once upon a time (because all good stories start like that right)….

I was a casual bridgerton fan…I really liked Season 1. Watched it a couple of times, but actually never watched season 2. My love of season 1 encouraged me to follow Nicola, but did not bother too closely until I found out that she was the lead for season 3 and started posting pics of her and Luke.

This ⬇️ is what got me on the ship.

I then went down a rabbit hole…I did not know anything about Luke or if he had a girlfriend or broke up or whatever…all I knew was what she posted and later found out he also shared looked like they were a couple and had something special. I mean what were we supposed to think. I quickly became engulfed in a fandom. And started following Luke as well.

Fast forward 2024. It seemed to us that from July 2023-June2024 the Lukola fandom got nothing but eye-fucking selfies…interviews with unhinged innuendo…journalists giving fans feedback saying even they thought that the co-stars were in love bts the scenes pics and footage of Lukola showing they were magnets. Family outings together. Rings designed in celebration of a season and worn…Polaroids..nightime beach walks…Brazil!!!….and just general slip ups alluding to something more. During this time Netflix, Shondaland and Bridgerton were fanning the flames even posting comments to fans spurring on the shipping…and IT IS STILL HAPPENING!!!

Now after the WT I was not the only one down the rabbit hole thousands of others were as well. It did not matter that the “A” bomb hit dropped we still chose to believe. And why? For me it was simple at the Gucci show Luke walked out clearly upset and full of anxiety…he was being supported by Holly, his stylist, while his supposed GF walked ahead of him uncaring and unfeeling. Smiling at the camera. From then on you could pic up on how miserable he was and how little care they had for each other. People quickly formed opinions on A and she was quickly hated and unfortunately so was Luke he has and is still enduring a massive shit storm by being associated with her and their behaviour towards each other.

Fast forward to August…after HBS life guard Luke pics in real time from the SoHo gang. In comes chaos week. I mean WHAT!!! For fucks sake. Oh yep Nicola you do not send signs…but you post songs and scrabble boards. After Luke races home from a disaster of a 30th birthday Soho trip.

Now we are given a bad name told we are parasocial but we are being fed the bullshit and being gaslighted. Enter the pseudo BF Mr Jake Dunn who is very very clearly gay. And you know what I have skated around it because I have been worried about offending people but cmon. Ms Nicola Coughlan you are NOT dating that young man. A man who surrounds himself with gay men. Is called twink and princess affectionately. I could go on but you know the drill. I had thought that Nic was just playing along and using it as a cover innocently just letting tabloid trash print the narrative but never refuted it, but when the article came out which names him as her BF ( although she did not verbally confirm it) she would have known about it prior to release which makes it just as bad. No deniability there.

Now after the chaos week and the introduction of the clearly rainbow JD as the pseudo boyfriend. We get Nic on a plane going on a holiday…and Luke posting in an airport saying BRB. Again like WTF!!! Again what are we supposed to think…I mean cmon….Fuck right off…Uugh

And so it went on and on…we got a Polin selfie then bam pap pics like she knew it was coming. She posted paper moon no context and again pap pics ( or something like that I can’t remember)

I am not even going to mention the pregnancy because at this point I don’t care we have so much evidence and the fact that she was styled in nothing but black for 6 months and EVERYONE was commenting on it was insane and her dramatic change in body was insane. Her referring to herself and the Polin baby in the first person saying popped back after pregnancy saying that filming bridgerton was like a full pregnancy 9 months yep we are the parasocial crazy ones.

2025 has been nothing but shoving the adjacents in our face whether it is because of a NDA contract or whatever don’t know now really don’t care. But the patterns have become so predictable it is not funny. What again pisses me off is if you wanted to stop us shipping what the fuck was the SAGs.

You are telling me that they were both in committed relationships and yet they were shamelessly flirting with eachother. Yeahhh right…we are crazy 🤪 And so are all of the journalists that posted articles and stories that followed and the hug that went viral.

The fall out after this was terrible…damage control Nic follows 🐜 Luke gets papped more paps of Nic BAFTAs drama where A gets shoved in peoples faces and is on a Netflix promo. REALLY A NEXFLIX PROMO…we see her but not any of the other Bridgerton cast um ok. Weird. But yep we are the parasocial psychos

I feel like a bouncy ball…every time something happens the other responds in a mirror move UNO reverse. If the fallout is big enough Netflix or one of the crew post something to try and draw everyone back in.

Today after the fallout of the article Shonda posted this scene where Colin defends Penelope and lets Portia know he proposed out of love. I guess testing whether we still are team Polin and honestly I could not bring myself to like it. Jack posted the real of the behind the scenes dance scene where Pen and Colin fight when he interrupts Debling with prayer hands and a love heart. That story only last 3 hours before it was deleted.

Now Mr Jack Murphy what are you telling us…see the thing is he and Ryan wheeler were our biggest ship captains and they fanned the shipper flames as well replying to comments. It has been quite a ride.

And not only Ryan and Jack but also there Mua Erin who posted the times article and BTS wedding pics.

Now….today…yep today after the article and after two years 🐜 has finally been able to post a selfie but not the actual selfie..a picture of the camera that took the selfie on her grid. It gets even weirder because her bestie sienna posted it to her stories like she did the Luke post of A walking across the road! Why would you do that? I mean is she trying to help 🐜 build up her followers? Is it a little FU to the fandom going haha I won I can now post Luke. But why now after 2 years.

I have been misdirected ( lol no pun intended) over the last two years. That a narrative gets forced down our throats and then we are pulled back into the light with a spark of hope. I thought it was unfair for Nic to dismiss the fandom and maybe her and Luke take a little responsibility for the mess. We did not appear out of thin air, we did not invent the bullshit. We devoured what the gave us and bought into what the sold.

How convenient that we can predict what is going to happen next. Now this has dropped right before S4 promo, there is a reason why Polin BTS has not come and all Lukola BTS would show that too close bond. When it drops and it will Nicola threw a cold shower on shippers embarrassing them and calling them intense and parasocial. When hypocritically she stated at the London press tour she and Luke thought it was sweet and if they are seeing it then there is a real love there.

All I can say if they are trying to douse the flames promo and BTS and S4 Polin must be very good. Or this is just more bullshit for us to ignore and get over.

No matter what comes out. I will never believe that Nicola is with Jake because he is very clearly gay. I will never believe that Luke is with Antonia because that would make him a shallow cold bad boyfriend who does not care about women. And I refuse to believe Luke is that person. I believe Luke and Nic are a couple, how that looks, what that situation is..baby …married…who knows. All I know is I feel gaslit and lied to by not only Nic and Luke but by Shondaland, Netflix, Ryan, Jack and everyone else that spurred us on.

This post came down hard on Nic and Luke. I don’t know there motivations…I don’t know the story…I don’t even know 💯 why. All I know is that the simple answer does not make sense and for two actors to garner this much attention for supposedly having relationships with 25 year olds is ridiculous.

They may want me to stop shipping them but I refuse. Screw that. I have stopped liking and following everyone and everything surrounding them. And waiting for people to come to their senses.

One day we might actually get some clarity but today is not that day.

Dear Bridge, Shonda & Netflix,

The players in your game are quite irrelevant. It’s really not about them. It’s about creating an expectation amongst the people you sold your project to, promising them things with inference and then not delivering the goods. False advertising I think it’s called. Not reputationally wise, but bonkers in this instance IMO because you need to be able to resell to the very same customers. But instead of admitting the mistake, doubled down, blame the customer for having a memory, while still trying to flog your product again! What did you think was going to happen?

To have allowed your biggest assets to be taken down by a tiny insect due to terrible planning & dreadful media control.

Bridgerton will prob get ok numbers, but boy I expect it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The plot better be tight, the dialogue strong and every sequin in place because there will be plenty ready to express their opinion. The love extended last time over plot inconsistencies, too many self-indulgent scenes etc will not be given as much grace, because the bond between story teller and listener has fractured. Very unwise to blatantly treat your customers like fools.

Believe it or not I wish every hardworking member of the cast & crew well, but I personally have no interest in a show where I can no longer see the roles of the former leads. Now only seeing the real people and their alleged partners, the false pantomime with no suspension of belief possible Colin & Pen no longer exist for me, just Luke and Nicola. It will just be a hollow mockery of these lovely characters and will give me the ick. Hopefully there won’t be that many who feel the same.

It will always puzzle me why this was not managed better, when the two stars could have had their real narratives (whatever it may be) and retained all the good will. Why you chose this mess instead? Possibly avarice & a contempt for your audience. Only you know.

Let’s see how it plays out, but little Polin posts aren’t going to cut it. I can see this show being used on every marketing/PR/media course in the future titled how not to promote a product. Fascinating.

The biggest problem that plagues this fandom is y'all are missing the forest for the trees. Everyone is so bent out of shape over what the tiniest move could possibly mean and clambering for a rationalization when one doesn't need to exist! It's so much simpler than y'all are making it out to be.

The key to it all? The Big Three. Let me explain.

Before the dissent took root and we divided into factions, what did we all agree on? The behavior between these two was insane (affectionate). The pictures from TSOT? Insane. All the WT interviews? Insane. The photoshoots? Insane. The hand-holding? In-fucking-sane!

You can try and argue and justify it a million different ways. It was PR! It was bestfriendism! They're in love! The fact is: it was insane. Yes? Good, moving on.

Then came the SAGs. Oh, SAGs, my beloved. Y'all wrote that off WAAAY to quickly. Eight months of perceived silence and suddenly we're right back where we started, except this time we surpassed insanity and canonballed straight into lunacy. Because what even was that? All those joint interviews? Those faces?? That hug??? When they'd literally seen each other the night before???? Curious and curiouser.

But then.

Then came the pre-BAFTA party and the BAFTAs. People screamed, ran, jumped ship like it was 1912 and we were on the motherfucking Titanic. Me though? I laughed. I laughed because I see what they're doing, and they're not as clever as they think.

Because think about it. Every other argument that tries to explain away their behavior during the WT falls apart when you consider The Big Three.

If the WT insanity was just PR to promote the show, why continue with it during SAGs? When the 90 days are well over and the voting has already happened? And if they did decide to continue the PR during SAGs, why did they stop there? Why not do the same at the BAFTAs?

On the flip side, if it was all just bestfriendism, why did they tone it down at the BAFTAs but not at the SAGs? They already knew the kinds of waves their behavior made. Either they don't care, which makes the BAFTAs an anomaly, or they do care, which makes the SAGs an anomaly. I'm not even going to entertain the beefing accusations, bffr. This isn't high school. So what is it? What happened?

No matter what deck of this demented ship you're staying at, most of us at some point or the other agreed they're together but for some reason choosing to keep mum about it, yes? Forget all the speculation why they'd choose to keep it a secret. The reason is between them and their makers and idgaf what it is. It doesn't fucking matter. What does matter is that this is the only argument that remains consistent with The Big Three, and all it takes is to look at one single screenshot from one of the interviews they did together at SAGs to see why they're doing all this shit now.

They got cocky. They were clocked. They cowered.

Because they legit thought they had us fooled. The let go during the WT because they knew they could hide behind the PR of it all. Once that was over, they put in place the perfect distractions to redirect and throw us off their scent, or so they thought. But they slipped up big time at SAGs. They were so giddy with excitement at having another excuse to cling to one another in the public eye, they almost blew up their whole scheme. Just look at these two and tell me they don't look like little toddlers who hiding under a pillow, giggling because they're so sure no one can see them even though their legs are sticking out, while everyone around them rolls their eyes and pretends to be looking for them just to play along. Except, they didn't play along. Every media outlet clocked their shit and then some, and they realized their mistake. That's why we got that cursed elevator photo and why are their buffoonery ramped up since then. That's why BAFTA's went down the way it did. It doesn't matter why they're trying to pull off some elaborate misdirection scheme. What matters is they are, it's obvious, and they're fooling themselves if they think they're fooling us.

PR Relationships

Since I work in business and understand a little tiny bit of what PR means I decided to do some research on the topic to further my understanding of what a PR relationship actually entails. So in my journey I came across some valuable bits of knowledge that I wanted to share with y'all. So what is a PR relationship? Notice how the definition states relationship by contract. Most of the fandom including those other guys believe in some ways what we have been seeing is due to a NDA. Well guys that's what a PR relationship is about a contract drawn up between two people.

Now let's understand how these relationships are created and why celebrities go into these relationships.

Now this video that I found on my investigation made me feel vindicated in my stance. All of the tik toks that I attached below are great sources of information and they are done by people that work or have had to deal with PR relationships.

This video the young lady explains PR relationships and all type of information. I would definitely take a listen.

This is another video that discusses a man experience with agents pushing a PR relationship on him to get publicity. This hurts my heart a bit. No one should have to hide who they are.

So guys as you have heard from people in Hollywood/entertainment industry these types of relationships are so common that to us regular everyday people it's nuts. But this is part of their world. They have teams of people helping them navigate situations that is all very very new to them. So my thoughts are be kind to Luke and Nicola they arent trying to fool anyone. They are trying to survive a world that is very new and very real. Let them figure it out and just be patient.
