AUGUST 11TH 1981 welcomes Ginerva ‘Ginny’ Weasley

he didn't know what to do with himself. he shouldn't have been so nervous, it wasn't like it was his first child. Yet he had butterflies in his stomach like the first day that William was born. Another child, another being to love unconditionally. Another boy to spoil and love.
and yet he was pacing.
all he could hear was the labor Molly was going through, his hand held tightly in hers moments later. he hated seeing her go through this. This pain that he would never know; if he could take the pain away-- he would. He always thought it would be easier next time. At least it wasn't as bad as when the twins were born. He remembered those long hours. He could hear the pacing of his sons downstairs; ronald's own crying. He was sure William or Charlie had him. He wanted to rush down to his crying son but-- Molly needed him more. He was always right there when she gave birth. He didn't faint anymore. Not since Percy. The midwife's voice brought him back to the now. Their child was almost there. Arthur got down on his knees, hand stroking Molly's. "Push. You can do it, Molly. You always do." Gently, he laid a kiss to her forehead.
A baby's cry.
"It's a girl." he heard yet he didn't believe. After all the sons that were given; they finally had a girl. Arthur was over the moon. "Well; I guess we can't second hand her clothes." A small breathless laugh was given by Molly at her own words. "I'll work extra hard," Arthur told her.
And yet; he didn't have to. Molly was already making clothes the next day. A cute pink onesie with the letter G was on the baby soon. The Weasley household got a little bit bigger and a little bit warmer.
Happy Birthday; my sunshine.
