How do you create custom brushes in manga studio?
to edit the settings of a brush, click the little spanner
to change what shows up in the tool property window, you just turn on the eye!
for numerical options you can change between a slider & an indicator
an indicator lets you set 5 different values to jump between

To make a new brush tip, make a new canvas, and draw a shape. make sure to use pure black for this! You also want it to be on a transparent layer.
If you’re scanning something in, go to edit > convert brightness to opacity.
Then, right click on your layer > convert layer..
and make your layer a greyscale layer
Or just do the same thing in the layer property window
This step is important if you want your brush to paint with the colour you have selected! otherwise it’ll paint with the colour of the brush image (in this case black).
If you’re making like, a stamp or something you can use full colour, but im assuming you want to paint or draw with your brush, in which case use black & a greyscale layer.
Anyway when you’re satisfied with your brush shape, go to Edit > Register Material > Image…
then on that window- name it- check use as brush tip- put it in your brushes folder- tag it with something so you can find it later
to apply it to your brush, go to brush tip, choose the material option, and add it
and you can make your brush
