Sitting on the sturdy mattress stuffed full of hay, I raise my head to look at the night sky outside the window. There’s a dim square in my pitch black field of vision, and some bright spots glowing yellow in the middle. There isn’t a moon, or any stars, only the light of a candle flame. The wind blows against my face, carrying the smell of charred walls, sand and water. Looks like the glass on the window is broken. “Thank goodness I still have you beside me.” “You're being so honest about your feelings, it's sickening.” “I don’t even have the strength to pretend anymore.” I can tell with a touch that the bed beside me is wet. It must have been the lakewater that broke the window glass, and wet the room. Is this my punishment for failing the mission today? “Can I sleep over there with you?”

Hello, and ofc... Happy new Year! OwO In the meantime, I finally had time, and in the Paint application, I created the covers for my two Kyo Kara Maoh stories using reference images. The first is my story "Csalfa" (Cheater) which is still in progress and I'm still working on the new chapter. The second is my completed short story "Homok alatt" (Under the Sand). I redesigned them because I realized that with ChatGPT, the covers are beautiful but have no soul, no underlying work. So I decided that even if it's clumsy, I'll make it for myself.
