teen wolf and ginger snaps

so. i just wanted to point out a few ginger snaps/teen wolf parallels i noticed when watching ginger snaps this last week.

in both cases there is a monstrous werewolf:

in both cases said monstrous werewolf attacks a teenager in the woods:

right after the attack, in ginger snaps, the monstrous werewolf gets hit by a car:

right after the attack, in teen wolf, scott almost gets hit by a car:

brigitte takes a picture of the werewolf:

lydia also takes a picture in teen wolf in s1e06:

and in both cases the picture isn’t shown to the teenager attacked by the werewolf in the picture.

in both cases the person knowing about the picture is also the person who first brings up the werewolf possibility. brigitte does so with ginger:

BRIGITTE  (laughing hard) I know, but okay. what I think? (she counts on her fingers) Attacked. On a full moon. Now, yer hairy. GINGER (snorting) I’m not Harry, I’m Ginger. BRIGITTE(snorting too) Stop, I’m serious. Think about it. Ginger stops laughing long enough to let the suggestion settle. GINGER That’s so stupid!

and stiles does so with scott:

stiles: Uhum. On the night of the full moon. Hey, you’re the one who heard a wolf howling. scott: There could be something seriously wrong with me. stiles: I know! You’re a werewolf! Rarr! Okay, obviously I’m kidding. But if you see me in shop class trying to melt all the silver I can find it’s because Friday’s a full moon.

in both cases we see animals react negatively to the bitten teenager. a dog in ginger’s case:

and a few cats in scott’s:

and while both scott and ginger seem more confident after the bite, the person closest to them, the one who brought up the idea of them being werewolves, start researching. brigitte:

and stiles:

stiles learn about wolfsbane:

and a bit later so does brigitte:

in both cases it doesn’t take a silver bullet to kill the werewolf:

ginger: Did I change last night, howl at the moon, kill shit and change back this morning, huh? brigitte: No. ginger: Did it take a sliver bullet to stop that thing? No, it got killed by a fucking truck.

other than that, there is  the janitor

who finds the bitten teenager after school and dies:

peter losing control and partially shifting into the beast alpha form:

adding to it, there is the fact ginger snaps talks about menstruation and the way it goes about it reminded me a bit of the sort of joke teen wolf has about the subject.

But see all the books and movies an’ shit said it had to be a full moon, that it’d be all at once. An, ya know, not one word about chick werewolves on the rag. Typical.

Does anyone know what that white picture with black wavy lines represents? 

On the bookshelf.

In the middle on the wall. 

It reminds me of Chladni patterns (vibration and frequency), but I don’t see an exact match.

May not be relevant but the two pictures don’t look like the exact same copy even though they look to be the same structure/symbol. The length of the lines are different…by which I mean the first image has a square proportion and the second is a rectangle.

And if you ignore the arrows as stylistic extras, Stiles’ picture shares basic structures with two of those patterns. The basic composition (highlighted in orange) being what I call hills or what are actually called “bows” at the four corners and a central cross.

And I don’t know anything about Chladni patterns, but I also found more patterns (from x) and found a match for the basic comp.

but what does it mean?

She sees him and is visibly upset (like you would expect if it was her dead boyfriend):

But Aiden wasn’t holding anything and she’s clearly shocked from behind and when we see her fall, he isn’t there in front of her:

So I’m pretty sure he was in her mind and thus most likely Aiden

I'M THE LEADER OF THE PACK

“Jesus,” Stiles says taking in the tall order of tall, dark and surly cradling his arm in exam room five.

“So, kitchen accident?” he continues when the broody guy just glares. Good thing Stiles aced his boards. He can do surly and broody. Unresponsive is even better. His shift is almost over and he’s already dreaming of that on-call room bed. He called dibs. Dibs until the city buses started running again and he can go home to his matchbox apartment and drown himself in a shower and whatever takeout food that hasn’t mutated horribly since he was home last. Being an intern was arduous and a thankless job. But he loved it.

“I get how those knives can get slippery. But I get it. Ask me no questions, I tell you no lies,” snarks Stiles, pulling out the suture kit from the cabinet. “So let’s get this sucker stitched, eh? Derek?” he opens the chart. It’s always a good start to be friendly even though Stiles really wants to stitch and clock out.

It’s a Derek Hale by the sign-in. And some elegant as fuck handwriting. Makes Stiles chicken-scratch look illegible.

“Hale,” Derek bites out with a glare but Stiles passes that off to the face that the guy’s sweet as leather jacket is slashed beyond repair from the wrist to the shoulder, courtesy of the wicked knife wound. Stiles is going with knife wound.

“Yeah, yeah, Hale, Derek Hale, like double oh seven, I get you dude,” says Stiles, gingerly taking his arm to swab with disinfectant. Derek doesn’t even flinch, just bores his eyes into Stiles’ head. So not creepy at all.

“You don’t know who I am?”

“Uh, dude, your my patient,” Stiles says and looks up with concern. “Shit, I didn’t check for a concussion. Quick, name the most recent Batman.”

Derek just stares at him blankly. Stiles is set to roll his stool over to get a flashlight when Derek’s uninjured arm grabs him, pining him to the exam table. “Don’t call me dude.”

Now it’s Stiles turn to blink. “Doctor-dude privilege,” counters Stiles. “And I am going to need that hand, I do my best work with my hands.”

Derek eyes shutter considerately before releasing Stiles’ arm with a nod, his gaze never straying from Stiles.

“Gr-eat,” sighs Stiles, getting the gel to numb the area but Derek waves him off. “Ok, going to be macho? This is going to hurt like a bitch, you know? You may cry. Like a manly tear. Don’t worry, I’m under oath.”
