Hi when I say "platonic Elmike" I don't mean that they are buddies or even friends I mean that there are some specific and deeply emotional things that they have in common and they will soon understand that they have these things in common that nobody else ever really gets to see and which they have semi-unkowingly exploited in eachother.

Jonathan is very family oriented because it's the only thing he's ALWAYS had. Money, things, those weren't a guarantee. But his family was always there.

Steve is very family oriented (ie. the nuggets dream) because it's the only thing he's NEVER had. He had money, things, more stuff than he ever needed. But he never had family, they just weren't ever there.

okay so i'm watching princess mononoke with my brother and i had this little will/byers-hopper hc

so i hc that once a month, joyce, jonathan and will organize these movie nights where they show their favorite shows (movies or series etc.) to el and they all give their little thoughts on them and why they like them. el begins to give her thoughts too and she does a little classification of them. (her favorite genre is melodrama/sitcoms because she doesn't have to think about anything supernatural and they always have a happy ending) they also go to the cinema together when joyce is free to watch the latest movie, even if it's lame, so they can have a little more of family bonding time.

will encourages el to draw/paint/represents her favorite movie scenes and help her paint the characters. sometimes he will make a painting of the scene for her.

when hopper comes back home, they include him in the movie nights. he always try to pretend that he only like westerns, but his favorite genre is comedy.

finally, i think that if they were in a modern era they all have their favorite ghibli movies. i think for el it would be spirited away but im not sure for the others so lmk in the comments.

also it's my first willel post, first hc and first real post so please tell me what you think and if i should continue these
