What was Zephyr’s life like before meeting Sombra?

ohohohoooo i got the answer straight from the deers mouth so get ready

"lonely! zephyr in the early days was quite prickly and defensive and tends to keep others at a distance. grew up with a lot of siblings. i don't imagine pokemon really have language for being trans or know how to navigate it, so zephyrs solution was to assume his whole family would hate him and bolt off, disguising his tail with accessories and starting his new life as a man.

he wasn't too far off the mark. his family wouldn't have exactly understood it or treated it delicately, but they were quite concerned about their daughter going missing. especially with mystery dungeons and shit though, sadly i don't think a weaker pokemon mysteriously going missing, especially one prone to little emo fits of wandering and isolation, is exactly. uncommon. they have since assumed zephyrs died.

zephyr feels guilt over that. he left during his "NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME MUM,,, IM RUNNING AWAY" angsty teenage phase, but now that he's older he wants them to know he's alive, even if he didn't quite entirely turned out how they expect. but at this rate he doesn't even know where they are or where to begin. they've moved from where they raised him

hes kind of like an angsty cool guy type until he hits like. the equivalent of young adulthood. charismatic, energetic, suave, strong. but i think life softens that a bit and he grows more chiller and even-tempered

outside of gender shit, he loved to tussle, loved the cool air of mystery being a traveller gave him. he loved when ppl would be like What are u doing out there all on ur own
