skater!keith and ballerina!lance au because i’m trash

okay so the local skate park and the ballet studio are right across from each other

and they kinda have a feud because once a skater sent his board flying out of the park and it hit a ballerina and made it so she couldn’t compete in this really important competition

and then the ballerinas went and put a toooooon of wax on all the ramps and grinds and stuff so the next day all the skaters were falling in their asses and getting hurt

so the skaters retaliated by egging the ballet studio and got away with it because there wasn’t any security cameras so no proof

so now there’s this unspoken rule between them that if a skater dates a ballerina or a ballerina dates a skater they get exiled, basically

and obvi skaters have fallen for the ballerinas and the ballerinas have fallen for the skaters but they never acted on their feelings

until lance moved to town

lance has been dancing all his life, and is just overall an amazing dancer, but ballet is his favorite type

and as he’s walking to his first ballet practice at this new place he sees keith and they kinda make eye contact but don’t talk because lance goes into the ballet studio

at the end of practice lance asks to stay later and the owner is like “well… idk…” but lance convinces her and she says he can only stay till ten o'clock

so he keeps practicing and finally leaves at eleven because he’s a good student and just “lost track of time”

this just so happens to be the same time keith leaves the skate park almost every night

and keith notices lance walking back and is like “?????” because it’s ten at night and this boy is in sports booty shorts, a crop top, and a sweatshirt and sure it’s summer but you usually just don’t see a boy wearing that casually especially at eleven at night ok

and keith never really cared about the stupid feud they have with the ballerinas so he goes over and is like “what are you doing here it’s almost midnight? i’ve never seen you around before??”

and lance doesn’t know about the feud at all because he doesn’t know anyone yet and starts flirting a little

and keith is flustered and shuts down and takes off and lance isn’t sure why because his bi-fi sensors are going off and that boy is definitely gay whoops i guess he has a bf??

and the next day he goes to practice again and all the ballerinas invite him to a sleepover because “we’re all siblings so tonight we spill e v e r y t h i n g about our lives to each other kk?”

and the next day lance is walking with the ballerinas to practice (there’s like five other ballerinas because it’s a small town ok) and lance waves at keith before he goes inside the ballet studio

and the ballerinas (they’re all girls) are like “you spilt wvevabnjjsjja lipstick in my valentino white bag??” and explain that it’s a big no-no

and lance is like *long, overdramatic sigh* “oK”

so for like,,, a month lance and keith don’t talk but they exchange glances and small waves and smiles and stuff

in that month lance and all the ballerina girls become super super close and lance doesn’t want to let them down because they’re family now

and one night at a sleepover lance asks “what would you guys do if you liked someone, but couldn’t have them because everyone else said you couldn’t” and one of the girls is like “who cares what others say, it’s your happiness boy,” and lance has hope until she adds “but if it’s a skater, then remember, you’ll get exiled” because she sorta guesses that lance likes a skater, but isn’t sure and all the other girls agree

lance always stays late to practice and keith starts staying late to skate every night as well (and the wall next to the doors on the studio is all glass because the ballerinas are supposed to feel like they’re being watched as they practice and need to get used to the feeling for when they have competitions) and sometimes keith just sits on his skateboard and watches lance dance

and one night lance kinda leaves half an hour early and jogs across to the skate park because he wants to talk to the skater boy even though he knows he’s not allowed to

and keith is like “aren’t u gonna get ur dancer card revoked???” and lance kinda shrugs and is like “yeah but no one’s around so…”

and they talk for a bit and exchange numbers but they both have to leave

so they text for a bit and have secret glances and stuff but keith is like,,, i want more!!

and neither of them know but lance’s coach knows that lance and keith have something going on between them but leaves it alone

at this point they’ve started hanging out every night, just sitting and talking in this old treehouse keith made when he was like ten

and one night keith just storms into the ballet studio crying and lance is like “oh nO” and comforts him and this is the point that lance realizes his feelings for the boy are serious

and a few weeks later, after a particularly bad night at home, lance just runs out of the house and to the ballet studio at like 1a.m. and is surprised when it’s unlocked but doesn’t really care and he just dances his heart out

and then he hears slow clapping from their coach and is like “i’m so sorry!!”

but his coach knows and is like “it’s ok, you can’t help it if you love that boy” and lance is like “you know??” and she just nods and hugs lance and lance starts sobbing because “it’s so fucking stupid”

and she nods and shushes him and is like “who cares about the feud, if he makes you happy, go get him”

so the next day as lance and the girls are walking to the studio lance is like “hey guys watch this” and runs across to the skate park

and all the girls are like super confused and then lance just walks up to keith and kisses him and all the ballerinas are s h o o k

but all the skaters fucking knew because did you really think they wouldn’t be spying on keith?? nah dude keith is their bro

and all the skaters just start fucking screaming and running around and yelling shit like “YOU GET UR MAN” and “TAP THAT ASS KEITH”

and lance jogs back to the studio and all of keiths bud start shoving him around and teasing him

and none of the girls really cared that much about keith and lance kissing and just congratulated him and said that they secretly thought the feud was dumb but were too scared to do anything

but one girl is like “NO! THAT’S GROSS! BOY ≠ BOY!!! THE FEUD AND-”

“shut the fuck up karen no one gives a shit i’m literally a lesbian” - the smallest, most nervous ballerina bean

and karen just kinda pouts and moves to a different studio

and klance is canon and everyone lives happily
