run away now I'm Will Porter-Nottingham. Some say I'm "uptight, pretentious, self-righteous," and "boring", but I prefer to just call myself the King of Nottingham. I'm 23, a full-time ruler, and constantly wondering if I'm a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. So how important do we think going back to school and getting a Master’s actually is? Because deadlines are coming up for next year, and I’m not going to lie, the longer I’m on the road traveling, the harder it is to imagine settling down and being a student again.

You were always a spectacularly good student for such a wandering spirit, if you ask me. That said, you can do what you need to do in this life without going back to school and unless you really feel the pull to return, I don’t think you should feel obligated to. In fact, I’m fairly certained you’re more than qualified for whatever you want to do already based on experience and drive.

do you agree with blake that gorillas are the best jungle animal? if not, what do you think gets the honor instead?

I think that @jungleboyblake is more of an expert on jungle animals than I am and thus if he says it’s true, it must be. I personally like elephants just a hair more, though; they’re very intelligent and they find humans adorable! How cute is that?

who would you pass your crown off to if you could?

There’s no one that currently exists that I’d hand Nottingham over to but once I have a child, I’ll absolutely pass along the crown. And even then, it’ll take some time; I didn’t take on the crown until I was around 21, after all, and @jungleboyblake and I haven’t even decided who our surrogate will be yet. Hopefully soon!

Mary Kate: Oops, meant to send that to your husband, not you. I feel like he's significantly more okay with me crashing at your palace half-dressed than you are.

Will: I was very confused as to why you'd send your cousin a message about your partial nudity but honestly, sending that to Blake doesn't seem like it'd be a good idea either. It just seems like it'd be an opportunity for him to bring up a certain squishiness.

Will: You're welcome to crash whenever you'd like, but don't be offended if you get a gorgeous robe as a gift from me for your birthday.

Will: I'd say it depends on the couple. You two are a foodie couple so for you? It'd be adorable! Honestly, and no pressure, I think everyone's probably expecting the best food ever at your wedding just because of what you two do.

Of course, anything for a friend. IVF is a great option for you both. And something like this is a pretty big decision to make however you both decide you’d like to have a kid and be parents. Statistically, yes. Trying for having a baby can be a long process for people. That seems mostly up to preparation and luck. I don’t think you’re trying to rush anything, you’re just excited to start a family. When they do finally start trying, it could take some couples a long time to have children sometimes it could be years. So wanting to start a little early makes sense.

I’ve been looking at the statistics too, and it’s definitely put my brain into more of a “Hurry up and make babies” mode; I’m a bit overeager, I guess. And I’m luckier than most, given that I’m a king and rich and money does seem to helps speed up most processes. But I don’t need to bore you with all the little thoughts going on in my head about it. I just needed validation from one of my oldest friends that I wasn’t being a crazy person. How’ve you been doing lately, by the by? I could use a Kluck Status Update.

How do you feel about who should birth your baby?

I have so many feelings regarding my future firstborn, I’m not quite sure where to begin! I guess I’d like to start by saying that I’m already grateful for whoever it is that ends up helping me and my beloved @jungleboyblake start our family. Now, as for my preferences, I’d like to keep it within the family if possible, which means anybody in the extended Sherwood family or possibly Blake’s sister, were she interested. After all, this process is sure to be an exhausting and exhilarating one, so going through it with somebody that we already know really well would be optimal, and so @marykatehood or @jojohood or @hailstormporter or @cassieadale or @racheladale or @camille-kluck or @harperofsherwood are my personal favorites to consider. Beyond that, I’m not sure how to narrow it down, not yet, but thankfully we have some time to think that through.

I would do anything for you too, you know that, but thank you, Camille! It’s so good to know that you would be open to a conversation about this when it becomes more relevant. As of right now, I think we’d be looking at a traditional surrogate IVF procedure, but obviously we’d want whatever works out best for everybody involved. Whenever that would be. Honestly, sometimes I think we should just start trying now. It might take quite a bit longer for us than it would take most couples, after all, but then, I don’t know, I worry I’m trying to rush it. Do you think I’m trying to rush it?

How do you feel about climbing trees?

Climbing trees is something I probably never would’ve tried if it weren’t for @jungleboyblake and it’s actually really fun. I should make more time to do it nowadays.

How do you feel about each of your “cousins”?

@nottingblair: I wish I’d been able to do more to get Blair over here sooner. No one deserved to be abandoned on the Isle for the crimes of their parents but I always knew I had a cousin over there and that knowledge haunted me. She’s got an energy that can’t be matched, at least not by me, and I’m glad to continue to get to know her.

@robbshood: Robbie’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I don’t know if we’d be friends if we weren’t cousins, but that’s likely because I’d be intimidated by how much he doesn’t seem to give a care what anyone else thinks of him, which is ironic because from what I know, everyone only ever has great opinions of him.

@marykatehood: I’ve long respected Mary Kate’s philanthropic pursuits, as well as her stalwart personality. At times she gets under my skin and vice versa but, at other times, she’s been the person I’ve relied on the most, emotionally. I’ll never forget how much she helped me through the storm before the rainbow of my life, and it’s amazing that that’s the kind of person she is. She helps people. 

@jojohood: Because of how much younger she is than me, Jocelyn and I haven’t really had a chance to bond one on one. I do know and respect how much she stands her ground, though; she has firm boundaries for herself and isn’t afraid of defending them, and that’s a skill I absolutely would’ve killed for at her age.

How do you feel about your in-laws?

I already touched on how much I love Mrs. Porter in my answer about tea parties, but I can always elaborate more. Frankly, Mrs. Porter is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. I’ve always enjoyed my conversations with her; I remember even when I was a kid, she never talked down to me, instead treating me like an equal. She’s a talented artist, anthropologist, and just fantastic in general. As for Mr. Porter, he has such a unique background and life experience, and hearing about it is utterly fascinating. He’s also the only person who’s more graceful than @jungleboyblake when it comes to vine-swinging. As a couple, they’re very sweet and have so much care for each other, and as my in-laws, I really couldn’t ask for better people. They’ve known me since I was a child and have always been a fan of mine, and the feeling is very mutual.

How do you feel about sexual acts performed in public?

...As long you take extra care not to get caught? I hate to say it, because as a king, I should very much be upholding public decency laws but... I would have to say that there’s nothing quite wrong with that. Of course, there has to be some limits to that, like not anywhere near minors, but other than that? People will do what they do.

How do you feel about tea parties?

I've always loved tea parties! I would’ve fallen in love with @jungleboyblake no matter what, but the fact that his mother is an extraordinarily intelligent, articulate, and conversational lady who loves tea parties and hosted some for us as children definitely helped. Mrs. Porter is one of the best in-laws I could’ve ever asked for, really. And now I have the urge to throw a tea party for my closest friends, so thank you for that.

Growing up, nothing was more important to me than being a good king to my people, and now that I am king, I promise it’s not a job I take lightly. In fact, I’d call it less of a life and more of a lifestyle. Most of my time is spent in service to the people of Nottingham and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Robbie: Woahhh, are you encouraging my dangerous behavior by telling me to hang upside down MORE!? Do you and Blake do weird stuff hanging out of trees? IS THAT WHY YOU'RE SUPPORTING MY PLAN FOR A CHANGE?

Will: I'm encouraging you to practice so that when you undoubtedly follow through on your plans regardless of whether or not it's a good idea, at least you'll be as safe as you can be! After all, if you're going to do tree stuff, it's best to do it knowing your limits. Everything's more fun when you're doing it safely!
