i fainted at uni where my country’s president had a speech today and instead of calling an ambulance somebody just went for president’s private ambulance who was parked in front of the unis building. this might be the funniest thing that happened to me this year like literally the president probably knows i fainted lmao

I speak Portuguese cause my mum is Brazilian and I speak English cause my dad is British

I also speak a lot of Spanish (thanks mum) and small amounts of Greek and Japanese and French (Duolingo core lmao)

I'm gonna preface this with, I'm Indian. So my mother tongue is Malayalam, which is a language spoken specifically in the state Kerala. I speak it because both my parents and my entire family speaks it.

But I lived in Dubai till I was 10, and not a lot of fellow children there spoke Malyalam, so I had to learn English. My dad helped with it and now I speak English better than even my mother tongue.

Other than that, I also speak Hindi, because it's like the official language of India, and I had to learn it at school. I don't speak it very well though, because I have no reason to use it where I live.

So that's me.

My first language is Italian bcs I'm born and raised here and I have a C1 level English. I can speak and understand basic French bcs it's taught here for three years in middle school. And I can understand almost everything my spanish friend says when he speaks Spanish, does that count?

dziękuję 🩵 answering waiting for chappell roan at a festival lul. i’m a native polish speaker and speak fluent english. i studied german for 6 years at school but i wouldn’t say i speak it (duolingo said im advanced when i took level test but thats a scam, i have some vocabulary tho). im currently studying portuguese but im not higher than A1 or A2 and I changed from brazilian version to european so i guess i know how to read accents in both of them and understand major differences too. unlike brainless people would assume i do not understand more than 1 in 10 words in russian or ukrainian. just czech and slovak sometimes but it depends on the sentence really. i think that’s all

I'm a native polish speaker and I'm fluent in it even though it may not look like it (I'm dumb and kinda nonverbal)💔 I also speak almost fluent english^w^ I know some basic German bc I learn it at school and my family has german roots so I guess I've always been in touch with it?? Also out of boredom I've been learning many languages on Duolingo. Back in 2021 I've learnt japanese but I stopped by the end of 2022. I studied French throughout 2024, but stopped around December in favor of learning Italian💋I love learning languages even though I change them pretty quickly.
