“Fall in love with someone who’s comfortable with your silence. Find someone who doesn’t need your words to know it’s time to kiss you.”
— Clairabelle Ann
“If you ignore your feelings they will get your attention in other ways.”
— Kathy Kalina
The night is cold again.
It leans on me like a question,
wanting my secrets.
The rain doesn’t just fall — it stitches itself into my skin.
Each drop cuts so deep the sky went red and held its breath;
I swear it did.
In that terrible silence every whisper still finds me.
They are not soft.
They are not kind.
The memory of hands,
So many hands from nameless faces, that never asked permission,
rips through childlike eyes that were never meant for this type of world so early on.
They tore the silence open until my body felt like it belonged to someone else.
The darkness of that is still here,
heavy and stupidly loud,
but faded like fine print.
I am writing it down so it can’t own me.
So it knows i am still here.
I want those voices — those old,
faded ghosts — to learn how to rot away for good.
The old ghost of shame thinks it can pull me back,
but there is nothing left for it to claim.
I will make the darkness see that i am not its prey;
i am its mirror,
its ruin,
its reckoning.
And when the silence comes to find me again —
as faded ghosts always do —
it will not take me.
It will kneel.

fuuuuck i just realized that the future idealized version of myself cant exist without current me being the catalyst for change and doing hard things. has anybody heard about this
She whispers "forever" as she presses her lips to mine-
and the knife to my throat.
Her eyes don't flinch.
Mine only searched for the girl I loved inside the monster she became.
But the truth?
She didn't become the monster.
I just didn't see her clearly until she was painting the floor with me.
And God-
even drowning in my own blood, I still thought she was beautiful.
She loves me.
She loves me.
She loves me.
She loves me.
Verily the lust for comfort murders the passion of the soul, and then walks grinning in the funeral.

We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell. - Oscar Wilde
sex is the consolation you have when you can't have love - Gabriel García Márquez
“You’re not in love with me, not really, you just love the way I always made you feel. Like you were the center of my world. Because you were. I would have done anything for you.”
— Abby McDonald
