I saw some discourse on some subreddits saying Michael’s childhood wasn’t that bad and I just want to know your thoughts on that
maybe it’s just me but Reddit has become extremely more anti Michael lately than usual. But I guess they sleep well at night knowing they justify literal CHILD LABOR on top of the other forms of trauma Michael and his siblings suffered (religious, emotional, physical…). So much of his necessary development was completely neglected. Not to mention Michael’s boundaries were constantly violated by grown ass adults: his intrusive fans, his father, his brothers hooking up with girls in the same room as him… being forced to perform in adult spaces as a child. And then there’s the whole alleged gross mess with Diana that I don’t feel like getting into.
Michael lived in a fear-based environment where he wasn’t allowed to make mistakes as a damn child and was working harder than most adults. And all of this while having his black body objectified and judged as he grew up in front of the entire world ? Yeah redditors are all just loud and wrong as hell
