The sudden forced transformation into a wolf proved tasking on the hybrid. The full moon having come and went like a whirlwind in his mind as he struggled to stir the morning after. He didn’t even know where he was as he looked around. Not exactly how anyone would like to start their Friday. He could only think of reactions if was caught outside in such a state. As with most times he shifted he had come out on the other side completely undressed.

Tyler had never really understood why Elena and everyone else seemed to get a kick out of graveyards before. Even with his own parents. But now, with this, it felt different. He had spent more time at Matt's headstone than he ever had at his father's. It didn't feel real. Matt, gone, and this time not coming back. Standing at his gravesite wouldn't change that, but he couldn't bring himself to leave.

It was true that Hope didn't have her uncles, Rebekah, or even her father around. That was for a good reason and a selfless one. She reached out and took Kol's arm in a comforting touch. "You saved her, Kol," she said softly. "You were had to miss out on her life but she only had one because of what you four did."

It was true, Kol would do anything for Hope if it meant she could keep living and it meant his life or never seeing her again. He at least got to talk to her over the phone. ❝ It was the least I could have done for you and her. ❞ Kol wasn't heartless, just bitter towards his brother.

Feyre's nose scrunched at the sound of her father's words as she leaned against her elbows on the counter. "Why would you? It's some random, small town mayor." She knew how it sounded but that didn't make it any less true. "Going isn't a requirement of being here, is it?"

It was one of the things he did love about her, how invested she could get into something, but it also meant that he had to distract her and pull her away at times as well.

"I feel like I should," she said with a soft nod. "I may not have been close to him personally but Mystic Falls gave Hope somewhere safe to grow up and he's such a big part of it." When she didn't have any of the Mikaelsons but Freya helping her out the people in Mystic Falls gave them a place. It may have be more Caroline and Alaric but it wasn't only them.

Hayley had all the right reason's about planning to attend. Mystic Falls did give Hope a safe life, a chance to live the best life she could at the time. ❝ I wish I could have been around more for Hope growing up. ❞ She was and always would be his favourite niece. ❝ It's a good reason for you to go though. ❞

It was always a hope that their children got the better qualities of him or more so Davina's qualities because he knew how he could be, especially if he got angry or was like hell broke loose on earth. ❝ Than we shall do exactly that darling. ❞ Kol promised her as he wanted to protect them at all costs. ❝ You may have mentioned it once or twice but I always love to hear it. ❞ He hummed with a smile on his lips as his hand trailed along her arms before slipped around her hips. ❝ I will wait all hours of the night for you. ❞ He promised placing a kiss to her forehead.

Kol knew that their kids wouldn't listen but maybe coming from her they might. He was worried about them as well. Wanting to ensure that they were safe. ❝ We can try and talk to them. Tell them to stay go straight home after work or when it gets dark outside. ❞ Brushing his hand against her cheek softly, Kol looked right at her. ❝ If anything happened to any of you and I would not stop until they were dead. We will do the say. Come straight home or if you are out late I will come and get you, even the kids. ❞ That was a promise because if he lost Davina again, or his kids, hell would surly rise.

Of all the people, Matt mattered the least to Davina and Kol knew that. Walking into the room that Davina was in, Kol set down a drink that he was nurturing. ❝ I suppose we can do that. Staying here makes most sense for us anyways darling. That human man meant nothing to either of us. ❞

Hayley let out a sigh as she looked over to Kol, "No one is going to make you go, Kol." It wasn't as if they were going to take attendance. She couldn't say that she blamed him for not wanting to go.

Moving to approach his sister-in-law, Kol rose up a brow. ❝ And are you going to attend now? ❞

It probably wasn't what Nico wanted to hear but he understood. It wasn't as if Matt had been best friends with most of the Mikaelson family. He was sure that there people that couldn't stand him. "Then don't go," there was a tone of exasperation in his voice. Matt hadn't been blood family but he saw the man as family.
