when you’re such pants with directions you end up getting lost in another time period (not clickbait)
--- His gaze is intense as he stares at the cards in his hands, eyes thoughtful and contemplating. He lets out a quiet hum as he rubs his chin, considering his options carefully. He seems to get an idea, keeping his best poker face as he speaks up.

“A couple in Ignis were betrothed to be married by their noble parents. They realized they weren’t a good fit, but in order to avoid any argument, they decided to ignore any cheating and go on with their lives as though they were a happy couple. But, as a confession, each time they had an affair, they had to put a grain of rice into a box. The two boxes would be opened in their old days. Years and years passed, with war and famine tearing through the kingdom. By the time they were old, their families had fell out of prestige, and they lived their life as simple Tepig farmers. They finally decide to open the boxes when they were well into their years.
When they open the husband’s box, they only found two grains of rice. The wife says, ‘Well, you’ve been more loyal than I thought you were.’ However, the wife’s box is completely empty. The husband was very excited, and says, ‘You never cheated on me? Wow!’ The wife says, ‘Not exactly…’ Confused, the husband asked, ‘Where are your grains of rice then?”
“And she says, ‘How do you think I was able to put food on the table during the war?”
--- How can he help but laugh? Maybe the fact that he could even relate to it personally-- having grown up on a poor farm in Ignis himself-- made it even better. Maybe people would say that’s strange, but it’s no good not being able to laugh at your own expense.
--- “This one’s two parts and kinda long buuut---- A sniper goes to a gun shop to buy a new scope. The owner shows him one and says ‘this scope can see as far as a kilometer, you can see my house up there on the hill!’ The sniper looks through the scope to look at the man's house. ‘I see a naked man and a naked woman in your house.’ The man looks through the scope too and hands the sniper 2 bullets. ‘You can have the scope for free if you shoot my wife's head off and that guy's penis off.’ The sniper agrees and replies, ‘Oh wait, I can shoot them both right now with one bullet.’”
--- “The next week, another man discovers his wife has been cheating on him with his best friend. Word of the sniper's amazing accuracy has spread, so the man calls up the sniper, hoping to get the same treatment for his wife and best friend. Confident in his skills, the sniper agrees to take on the job. The man waits in a bar, establishing an alibi, when he gets a call from the sniper. The sniper explains that he has a good view of the wife's room, but he wants to be absolutely sure he's got the right man before he takes the shot. He asks, ‘what color hair does your friend have?’ And the man tells him. He asks, ‘how tall is your friend?’ And the man tells him. He asks, "Is your friend black or white?" And the man tells him. "And he's been having sex with your wife for how long?" And the man tells him. Finally, the man gets irritated when the sniper asks him to confirm his friend's dick size.’Look,’ he says irritably, ‘I don't know how big his dick is. All these stupid questions; if you didn't want to do the job, you should have just said so!’ And hangs up angrily. The sniper sighed. ‘He should have had a little more patience. I had it narrowed down to the last three guys."

OKAY SO. i know i was here for it bUT FOR THE BENEFIT OF PEOPLE WHO WEREN'T... can you tell us the saga of Hiroko suddenly disappearing and Ransei self-destructing in her absence
SO: firstly, the out-of-character explanation for this all happening was that tumblr fucking murdered my blog, which turned into a joke in the group chat of “wow I can’t believe Hiroko is fucking dead.” And… then we decided to roll with that and make it canon that Hiroko had gone missing. This is how it played out, huge warning for some heavy-ass material, including psychological torture. And physical torture, when we get to the part about Magoichi-now-Shigehide. Isn’t Ransei fun?

ALSO it seems like it might be japanese as you said with bede’s name and also his and bea’s are written completely differently however bea’s japanese name is saito which is one too many letters for her signature, BUT it’s the same number of symbols so ?? shrug emojis ??
it could also be phonetic bc her japanese name is written with four characters according to bulbapedia (サイトウ). it could also be that the “ai” in saito is condensed down to a single letter/character.
rose is. very clearly “rose”, so. meanwhile allister’s japanese name is “onion” and the “o” looks different, but that could also be his handwriting.
[ that’s what i meant by same number of symbols but i couldn’t think of the diddly darn word
it doesn’t help that some of these signatures are ??? Not Good and a little hard to figure out where one letter ends and the other begins. and the one thing i wonder is the fact that marnie’s japanese name is mary, four letters, three characters, and her name is signed with four symbols, which would fit her japanese name, but that double x also shows up in the in-game game freak logo ?? but not as the m.
i’m thinking that there’s like ?? two writing systems for this language if that makes sense ?? like how japanese does but idk ?? like if you look at both of bede’s cards his signature is like ?? completely different ???
this is all just me guessing tho so shrug emojis ]
[ han voice now lissen here you lil shit

“Uh, so… how do these things work, anyway?” He’s putzing around with an empty pokéball, rolling it around in his hands and trying to figure out how in the hell this tiny thing could hold more than, like, some pocket change. “The button…. clearly opens it, huh….”
--- “Oh, hey, look, I can help with this! First we gotta find a Pokemon t’ catch!” And off he marches into some nearby foliage, managing to startle out some kind of bird Pokemon that immediately tries to peck the intruder. Like any normal animal trying to defend it’s home from dumbasses.
