A strong part of me wants to move all of my side blogs (except for @kingdom-confections) into this main blog. Meaning, I want to write muses from different fandoms in ONE PLACE! This way, if I decided to write a particular character (let's say Hu Tao for example. She's coming btw!), then I would add them easily, without needing to make a separate side blog for that!!
I'll also change my username to something different!
Kurayami sat in the grass alone in sumeru sighing gently
He didn’t hang out with many people but he didn’t like hanging out with people at all
“Ugh”
@manganyeh
Nahida was out gathering herbs in Avidya Forest. She was planning to send them to Qiqi in Liyue, via one of the two existing merchants in Caravan Ribat. When she was about to pluck out the last plant she needed, she heard a familiar sigh. She followed the source of the sound, seeing Kurayami sitting in the grass.
She walked over to him, and tilted her head slightly to the side. "Why are you out here by yourself? Shouldn't you be at the Akademiya right now?"
"..I see." Dvalin said, his eyes focusing on the star.
Venti then pointed at another set of stars.
"Those stars right there? They form the shape of a lyre... my personal favorite constellation!~"
dvalin obliged, laying down, trying to forget his slip up. "..I see stars."
"Heh, now that's quite the obvious answer!" He pointed up at the sky, "See that bright star over there? That's Venessa, the Falcon of the West, watching over us for eternity."
"..yeah,thanks,fath-" dvalin almost called his archon father, but he shut up before he continued
Barbatos looked away, noticing the slip-up, but he chose to not say anything about it. It made him really happy, but he stayed calm and didn't bring it up, not wanting his 'son' to be embarrassed even further than he already was... so he just looked up at the starry sky. "The breeze is as warm as ever during this time of the night..." The bard laid down, and patted the grass beside him. "Dvalin, lay down beside me. Tell me what you see."
"..stop.."
Since it's Dvalin, Venti gave in, stopping his teasing. He would go on if it were anyone else. "Alright, alright, I surrender~" He then put an arm on his friend's shoulder, and gave him a reassuring smile. "Feeling better now?"
Dvalin blushed a little. He looked embarrassed.
"Ohoho! Would you look at that? I just taught a mighty Dragon how to blush!~" The bard chuckled heartily at Dvalin's expression. He found it absolutely adorable.
"..you think so?"
"I don't think so - I know so. You've got the handsome looks, strong build, and the most soothing voice in all of Teyvat. Who would ever dare to look at me with you by my side?~" ✨
"..h-huh?" Dvalin looked confused.
Venti continued playing with a few strands of Dvalin's hair. "You've got the face for it, and the hair definitely, but I reckon your looks might end up stealing my crowd away~"
Dvalin noticed his tight grip and loosened it, immediately feeling guilty. "S-sorry,sorry,I'm sorry,I didn't mean it-"
Venti chuckled, his hand patting Dvalin on the head. "Hey hey, it's alright big guy! I might not be as strong as a certain consultant in Liyue, but I'm not some fragile wind spirit, at least not anymore!" Then, as he pulled him down to sit beside him, then wiped down his tears and played with his locks, he added, "Heheh, did I ever tell you that you would've made an excellent bard?~"
"don't leave, please,I will do anything, please, just don't go,don't leave me alone again, please, please-" dvalin clung to him,his tears like a waterfall.
Venti winced a tiny bit at the tightness of Dvalin's hug. Barbatos isn't called the weakest of the Archons after all, but even if he had a bit of strength, he would also feel almost crushed by the hug. Nevertheless, his hands still rubbed soothing circles on his best friend's back. "I-I'm not going anywhere, my dear Dvalin... I swear it. So breathe... Just breathe."
dvalin suddenly turned to human form, crying even more. "Barbatos, please, don't leave me-"
Venti's heart hurt just seeing his Dragon friend in so much distress. When Dvalin turned into his human form, Venti pulled him close, one hand caressing his hair, and the other stroking his back. He wished he could take all his pain and sadness away in a gust of wind. "I'm here, Dvalin... I would never leave you. I have always been here, and I always will. I promise you this."
"I can't keep going,it hurts so much,I can't take it..!" Tears welled up in dvalin's eyes.
"Dvalin..." Without another word, the bard closed his eyes and wrapped his arms softly around the Dragon's snout, trying to comfort him as he wept.
".. barbatos..im so tired.."
"...Tell me more." The Anemo Archon knew it far too well. The Former Dragon of the East had been feeling deep sorrow for far too long...
"i.." dvalin still hesitated.
"Focus on the breeze. Let the breeze calm you, like I always do..."
"It's fine,I'm just..i.." he hesitated.
"What's burdening your heart? It's just the two of us here, speak your mind…" Venti held out his hands, beckoning his friend to come closer, attempting to soothe him like that time.
