It's disgusting how the QH industry rewards owners and breeders for breeding these "monsters" (a QH shouldn't be 18.2 hands!), rewards them for getting them dead broke by age 3 for the futurities, and then everyone turns a blind eye when these horses are broken by age 10 and discarded like yesterday's trash. And yes, I understand that this isn't just a QH problem. It's a TB problem, and increasingly a WB problem with horses being pushed to be GP by age 9 or 10. Something really needs to change, and fast.

Unpopular Opinion

You should never jump just to jump. You should always be schooling SOMETHING technical. (This obviously does not apply to green horses that are just learning to pick up their feet)

If all you’re doing is jumping and coursing, then you’re putting unnecessary jumps on your horse just to make yourself feel better.

Maybe just maybe if you're struggling real bad with a horse then another rider gets on and doesn't have those struggles.. Maybe it's you and not actually the horse your struggling with. And maybe arguing that the issue is the horses fault after a second rider managed easily makes you look like a bigger fool than you did when it was just lack of knowledge and understanding on your part not the horses....

Cause he is horse abusing trash. But really, cause his methods encourage ignorant people to constantly push harder and punish more rather than pause and evaluate themselves first. Any good trainer will tell you that it’s the rider or handlers fault 90% of the time and to stop and check yourself before adding pressure.

Why do so many dressage people have to pretend like cranking their horse btv so that the poll looks like it's dropped is "stretching"? Last I checked, you need to lengthen the muscles in order to stretch them, meaning the nose has to poke OUT as the poll drops
