Sorry this took so long!!!! Some of these are mundane some not so mundane, idk it’s hard to say. Enjoy~
🎲 Duke is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. Feminine terms don’t bother them much especially used in campy/playful context but if you use he pronouns they’ll go feral.
🎲 They’re really good at picking up new languages!
🎲 Their laugh is like a sneaky cartoon cat snickering.
🎲 Duke loves to play D&D and they prefer to DM. Yes they do the voices.
🎲 Duke loves to cook! They had to learn later in life and they ended up getting really into it. They care a lot about what goes in their food.
🎲 They’re a vegetarian and have been since high school.
🎲 Duke is half Italian. They spent their childhood growing up in southern Italy with their mom whom they were very close with, but she passed and they had to go to live with their dad. Big bummer.
🎲 Duke’s dad was really controlling and demanding, expecting crazy standards of school performance and business dealings and for them to take over his game shop in the future which they had zero interest in. Their dad had an explosive anger problem but would try to buy back Duke’s good graces with gifts and money, which usually worked and made them bitter, spoiled and very materialistic for a long time.
🎲 They have a tooth gap! Just because it’s cute and I like it. They had braces when they were young but got them taken off early because they’re a brat.
🎲 Duke is BRUTALLY honest, sometimes to a fault. They say exactly what they think when they feel like it, which is always. They get a rise out of saying things that are shocking but that everybody is obviously thinking.
🎲 Duke is 5′6. You can’t change my mind.
🎲 They had a hardcore mall goth/emo phase in jr high. It was a good excuse to play with gender expression, wear more feminine clothes and makeup because it could be couched in the “style” but we all know how that goes.
🎲 Duke in high school was a shameless flirt but never actually sealed the deal. They boast big numbers but their actual number of hookups is slim. It was a lot easier to flirt with everybody and play it off as their whole cool/edgy/subversive party kid personality but they’re gay as hell.
🎲 BOY CRAZY!!! They can act all aloof but they crush like crazy, staying interested for longer than a week is a different story.
🎲 But, they are a true romantic at heart. When they actually do eventually get into something serious they want to spoil their beau rotten and wine and dine them, bring them flowers and chocolates, the whole shebang.
🎲 THEY LOVE MATH SO MUCH!!! It was their best subject all through school and they definitely did mathletes before they decided they were too cool for it.
🎲 Duke had A LOT of unfettered, unmonitored internet time as a kid. They actually spent way more time alone in their room on the computer than they did going to cool parties and hooking up than they claimed at school.
🎲 Duke and Yugi become super close friends!! It’s impossible to hate the guy but beyond that they have a lot in common and love all the same nerdy shit. After the whole parental grudge match blows over Yugi recruits them into the friendship gang, the others are reluctant but eventually they are absorbed into the squad.
🎲 They typically feel like an outsider of the friend group at the beginning, mostly because of how late they came in but also because of the trust issues. It takes them a long time to let their guard down and let themself be emotionally vulnerable with people.
🎲 NEVER goes out or is seen without makeup. You know you’re in deep if you ever see them without eyeliner and concealer.
🎲 ACTUALLY, you know you’re in there if you see them in their glasses. They’ve worn contacts since high school which is a CLOSELY guarded secret.
🎲 Duke is crazy good at impressions. Like, scarily good at mimicking voices and mannerisms. Joey abuses this to get them to do impressions of Seto on a daily basis.
🎲 Duke loves American superhero comics, it’s how they learned English! Their favorite series is Batman, mostly because of all the femme fatale villains with badass costumes.
🎲 Prefers to wear high waisted skinny black pants, will wear a dress or a skirt for special occasions or when they’re trying to show off.
🎲 Will bug the entire friend group until every single one of them has let them do their hair and/or makeup at least once. When they finally got Seto to acquiesce it was like a national holiday.
