I really want to see more romantic interactions between Kaiba and Yami-Yugi that explore their unique power dynamic. Yami-Yugi is so stoic but but caring for people he cherishes, meanwhile Kaiba chases and (and loses to) Yami-Yugi constantly, and in doing so steadily learns how to be vulnerable.

I wanted to draw that moment in a picture – where Yami gently pulls Kaiba’s hair to get his attention – and Kiba is growling at himself because he shouldn’t love it, but he does. He’s fighting of the realization that he’s been in love with Yami for a long time. The touch is so comforting, however, that he doesn’t panic even though he’s losing control.
