You know, you have quite the obsession with him. Are you sure that your attachment isn’t even remotely suggestive? The only time I recall ever getting that worked up about someone is when I’ve been, to some degree, attracted to them.

-Unfortunately for Jet, the taunting wasn’t riling him up much. In fact, it only seemed to seep in for the blue hedgehog a more disappointed expression. Instead of making Sonic want to challenge him, it lessened his desire to have the hawk within his company.-

There’s more to life than racin’ and competition, y’know. I’m all for that kinda stuff, but not all the time… We’ve got a world to appreciate and you’d rather spend your time tearin’ it up with Extreme Gear?

-Aww, how cute. The hedgehog thought he was getting deep with the whole 'there's more to life' line. Oh, that brought a slight smirk to his beak. Of course there was more to life! Jet did spend the most of it with his head in the clouds, but that wasn't the point. He wanted to beat Sonic once and for all so that he could get back to the 'more things' to life that Sonic was preaching.-

Sure there's more to life! There's riches! Somethin' I'll be getting after I beat you once and for all. Then I'll have all the time in the world to spend off my Gear, dreaming, whilst laying in cash.

-... Yeah, he wasn't going to be laying in cash, but a hawk could dream, right? Well, he certainly spent a lot of time doing it.-

-Well, Jet could suit himself, then. The blue hedgehog shrugged in response to his obvious ‘no’ and then fell back on the grass, crossing his arms behind his head peacefully. Come to think of it, neither of the two of them had the opportunity to relax around each other. This was probably the most relaxed Jet had ever seen him.-

What, if I raced you you’d leave, then?

-Sonic didn’t sound entirely happy about that — in fact, that just put him off wanting to race more.-

-Well, someone obviously didn't care much for seeing Sonic so relaxed around him. Although it was kind of strange, Jet was used to their run ins being so fast pace and filled with anger, but again... He didn't really care much. He wanted this race over and done with so he could claim his title of fastest thing in the universe and get back to stealing some riches.-
