Yelena lays beside you playing with your hair out of sheer boredom. Her eyes were looking around as she just puts her head into the crook of your neck. She understands that she doesn’t want her father walking in on you two and she has to be quiet. “You know, even after everything I told you still love me. It’s unfortunate.” Her eyes look up to follow yours as you continue looking at her. You speak up. “Yelena, you didn’t decide to do that.” You mumble as you go down to gently kiss her forehead. There’s scars on her face from battle, and bruises that haven’t fully healed yet. She’s scared of still loving still. Even if that saved her. She looks away. “I understand you want to love me but I’m no good for you.” She would quietly say before holding you close again. “I’m sorry.” She mumbles before shutting her eyes and you shut your eyes too. Falling asleep beside each other.

Richard Grayson and you have been best friends for years now. Some days you wonder if he has ever noticed that you had feelings for him. It was hard to hide them a lot of the time because of how nervous you got some days. It was very hard not to admire his personality and how he looked all the time. He was perfect to you. You were meeting him at a park today. It was a perfect sunny day as you looked him in the eyes as blood began rushing to your cheeks and sweat started forming. You were about to confess before he said this, “Let me confess first.” He would say this as he looked back at you with a smirk before laughing. He would speaking again, “I’ve liked you for awhile. I was worried you wouldn’t say anything.” You would stare at him shocked. “I’ve liked you for awhile too. I’m glad we’re on the same page.” You would let out trying not I act excited. You were finally with the person you loved the most.

You were both uneducated devil hunters, but one still had hope while you had lost yours all a little bit too long ago. As you waited you would uncross your arms to see what he was looking at. Another vending machine. “Ya want some?”, you would laugh a little bit. “Come on boy, you can wait a little bit. Aki makes you dinner right?” He would nod before looking at you, “Maybe you can come over and have some with us cutie, I’m sure there’d be some food for you if I can control Power.” he would say in a cheerful tone as he leaned in a little closer to you. “Your really pretty ya know that?” He would say quietly before you would move a little closer too, “Oh shush, your being too nice pretty boy.” You would chuckle a bit as your tone was a mix between sarcasm and playfulness. You would go back a bit before looking at the setting sun. “Let’s start heading back now, it’s turning dark. I’m starvin.” you would say this before he took your hand gently as he said, “Yeah, let‘s go.”

Kobeni gifted you something, and she was awfully nervous about giving it to you. Carefully opening the box inside was a cake. You were smiling, what a thoughtful gift. Taking a slice and eating it you would put the rest in your fridge. Night settled in and in the morning you were to visit her for breakfast. For an anxious girl she was quite a sweetheart when you got to know her. Today you brought her to a cafe. As you ordered you made her comfortable by giving the waitress her order too. She liked listening to you speak but she also spoke about her interests too. You had your breakfast and then both parted ways. Hopefully Kobeni was well when she got home.

Walking back to your apartment you held bags with new clothing for your beloved boyfriend, Denji. You thought it would be a wonderful surprise for him. You liked giving him a “luxuriant life”, which was just you paying for food and simple necessities. Yet you knew how much that meant to him. Now going up the steps to your apartment you would gently open the door. You went to your shared bedroom to neatly fold the clothing into his drawer for surprise. As you finished you looked back at him standing near the doorway. “Watcha doing cutie?”, he would say before going to kiss you. “Tryna surprise me again?”, his playful tone made you red while you nodded your head looking at his drawer. He looked too as he opened his drawer to look at the surprise. “New clothing! Sweet, I hope you wore these before you got them.” He would chuckle before hugging you around the waist. “Of course a cute girl like you has amazing fashion sense.” He smiled as he was now taking your hand. He brought you to the living room as he picked up the remote to put on a movie. “Let’s watch movies until we fall asleep, cutie.” Now you two were sitting on the couch, and Denji’s arms were wrapped around you as that’s exactly what you two did.

The sun was setting as you and Power walked beside each other. She was holding a box of kittens you guys found near an ally way. You two were humming tunes together and guessing which song you were humming about. Power always got mad when you got her extremely easy songs right. You always made your songs easy so Power could get them easily right, you liked boosted her confidence sometimes. As you did this game you both laughed endlessly after. It was nice to have a company like her around, especially when caring for stray kittens.

Denji’s fingers intertwined yours as he sat beside you on the couch. Tears strolling down his face as he laid his head on your shoulder. The movie you two were watching was heartbreaking. As tears kept streaming down his reddened face you tried wiping his tears off with your open hand, it was difficult to do. He looked up at you still crying. It broke your heart to see him cry so you cried along with him. Your fingers tightened around his as you feared him going through all that pain again. You loved him to bits and pieces. You savored moments like these, because you knew he was comfortable with you, and you were comfortable with him.
