     as big as manhattan was, it was inherently a 𝓶𝓲𝓬𝓻𝓸𝓬𝓸𝓼𝓶. everyone knew everyone’s business, there were no well-kept secrets, & it was impossible to hide from the prying eye of the paps and other new yorkers. so, when marlon had heard about the rumors swirling around lido & adelaide, he couldn’t help but feel sympathetic for the latter. this night out was clearly needed, along with some consolation & reassurance. the male waited outside of 1OAK, hands buried deep into the pockets of his dark, slim jeans to keep them shielded from the biting new york cold as he waited for the girl to arrive. as he saw the car pull up to the carb, a smile immediately emerged onto his face, moving to the passenger side & opening the door for the girl. “ you look nice, ” he greeted with his signature, warm smile & a hug before ushering her to the club, bypassing the line completely. “ can’t be in these type of environments without some alcohol, ” he said, lowering his head to speak to her so she could hear him over the music. “ what can i get you ? ”   // @wintcurs.

adelade wasn’t usually one for clubbing. in fact, prior to sending out her snapchat, it’d taken her almost thirty minutes to decide what an appropriate outfit would be. she didn’t own many outfits that could be deemed scandalous, so it only seemed fitting that she chose tights, a skirt, and a crop top. perhaps she looked more like a single mom looking for a night on the town, or a businesswoman about to make the deal of her life from the waist down, but she hoped marlon would understand. her heart was thumping wildly in her chest when she finally arrived at 1OAK, thankful that he was there to greet her, hugging him as tight as she could manage. ‘ you think so ? i’m not, like ... too professional or anything ? it’s the shortest skirt i own, ’ she admitted, offering him a shrug of her shoulders before letting out a quiet laugh. she followed closely behind him as they moved inside the club, hand reaching out to grasp onto the back of his shirt, not wanting to lose him in the crowd of people. ‘ uh --- what’s good ? what’s something strong ? ’ she questioned, attention still focused on him and hand still gripping onto his shirt, showing just how nervous she was. ‘ maybe a rum and coke. with mostly rum. that’s a man’s drink, right ? ’
