watched The Tale of the Princess Kaguya for the first time. beautiful but so dreadfully sad, i'm not sure i could re-watch until a good while... something between the artstyle & the themes hit precisely *too* hard

I wonder why it's not as known as other titles from Studio Ghibli? i've watched a good amount of them by now and i definitely consider it as one of the best. While it's not niche (it's still ghibli after all) i rarely hear people bringing it up! Hopefully the Cosmic Princess movie hype have also pushed other people to discover this masterpiece

i LOVED the gameoverse pilots!!! the style the prota everything, i'm super hyped to see more~ the story seems really compelling too

I do agree with some criticisms it got tho, it's sad that it follows the trend of male chara having a wide array of body-types and styles while the main women are all hourglass shape & same silhouette. gave me one piece flashback (it's thankfully not nearly as bad but like,,)

I heard the "oh it's bad faith/oh crab girl (and her 2sec of screen times)/oh who doesn't want attractive characters" and I still feel like it's a conversation to have when it's such a prevalent pattern.

Liking something doesn't prevents you from engaging with such reflexion... it might feel silly to point out but it kinda IS that deep sometimes

just played "this bed we made" and holy was this more about lesbians than i thought it would be. excellent news.

really interesting game otherwise, makes you want to try out different playthroughts! a bit short but leaves you with array of micro-choices, so it was a really pleasant surprise. also i played with the french voices and the voice acting was super nice, it isn't often that we get to hear quebec accent in videogame~

i dont think fandom people who only think about male characters and only create content for male characters are like horrible misogynists but i do think they often have some shit they need to unpack. like how can you , for example, play life is strange and the only thing you come away with from that is you want nathan and warren to fuck nasty. how can you watch birds of prey, and the only thing you come away with from that is you want roman and victor to fuck nasty......... like idk! idk! i just find it strange especially when people will engage with media Specifically about women and then put no effort in to empathize or care about them, sometimes even going far enough to say they HATE the female characters and that theyre bitches... IDK!!!!
