michael misa is a chronically online guy, mostly in the way that he’s often found glued to his phone. he likes to click through instagram stories, mostly to remove the lit up profiles, and boot up clash at any free moment, and play five minutes each of all his random mobile game downloads, and watch youtube way too close to his face, etc. he scrolls reels on occasion, will open tiktok once a day maybe, more so when sam or someone sends him something. but uh, he’s not really chronically online, just online.

similarly, sam is also on his phone a fuck ton. he’s scrolling reels full volume the second he gets into misa’s room, laughing at brain rot, and keeping tabs on fan made memes. so he really doesn’t understand how clueless misa is when he brings up some recent internet thing, whatever passing joke, or trend, or reality tv clip. misa’s on his phone even more than sam is, so how is it possible he’s missing everything relevant?

and misa is just sitting there blinking going wait what’s the thank you meme? seriously, how is this guys screen time six hours (on top of his nhl career and computer time) yet he doesn’t know ANYTHING important. sam can’t joke around under these conditions, he’s genuinely horrified that misa might just be laughing at the dick joke part of the 67 dickring PP d-pair. unbelievable to think that old man toffoli might know more than misa… it makes sam sick to think about.

anyways, for this reason specifically there are sam mandated let me spoon you while we watched selected videos on my phone times. misa’s always cool about it, hugs sam’s free hand to his chest and tells him to go back if he scrolls too fast, even asks clarifying questions about a jokes origin and the like. no wonder the guy won the bobby smith!
