It was heartbreaking but the response from the boys was the sweetest (and the competitiveness that Doby showed foreshadowed the way he'd carry the team in the playoffs). The team jumped in to rally behind him:

It was also reported that after the media ops Chantal Machabée (team's Media Mama Bear) sat down with Doby to encourage him while Kirby, Dobber and Kappy (who had all done post game interviews) came over to hug him.
