Almost There - a Jar spell to help you accomplish your goals.
*inspired by Tiana’s determination to accomplish her dreams* Needed: - A device to play Tiana’s “Almost there” - Jar - Cinnamon - Oregano - Thyme - Bay Leaves - Clear Quartz - Paper and Pen - An image of a bee! (this can be printed or drawn) - A Gold Candle. Steps: - Set up your candle and light it - Start up the song on your device of choice! Don’t be afraid to hum or sing along! - Lay down a layer of Cinnamon in the bottom of your jar. - Add a layer of Oregano - Write on paper what your goals and dreams are! Fold the paper up and put it in the jar. - Cover the paper with a layer of bay leaves. - Add your image of a bee (for hardwork!) - Top it off with your Quartz! - Seal your jar and set it aside where it wont be disturbed. - Finish the song, and blow out your candle to close and activate the jar spell! - Aesa <3 This is my original spell, do not repost on any platform without my explicit permission. making your own tarot/oracle cards: ideas & tips 🃏
i made the mistake of settling with all bendy paper only once. this sounds like a total no-brainer, but never underestimate how durable the material has to be. especially since properly and thinly laminating is usually not something you can do by yourself. so, pick rather stable cardboard and your sharpest scissors.
there’s one exception: use regular paper if you want foldable little pieces to ‘draw lots’. e.g., you can write features on them and divinate your future partner’s appearance. you write all sorts of possible hair and eye colors, heights, ethnicities, clothing styles, prominent facial characteristics etc down. be as specific as you like. then draw from an improvised urn (i use a metal tea box) and you get a physical profile already. e.g. wavy hair - blonde - 5′11.
the same works with personality characteristics. drawing lots is a versatile and faster way of making your own oracle. don’t be afraid to create a bunch, 50 and upward. you’ll need 30% more than you planned once you come up with things to write on them.
for more sturdy cards: since you want to have an easy time shuffling and have all of them in equal size, pick a card template. from another deck, if you have. or print one out. or sketch one with a ruler. important: plain rectangles will be a pain in the ass to shuffle, make sure to cut out cards with rounded edges, always.
go creative with other shapes, just make sure they won’t get jammed or creased when you shuffle. e.g., a heart or sun shape might be very weird to handle. i found that making round cards is great. oval, i don’t know, didn’t try it out yet. triangles: maybe, but again with soft edges.
using stickers and gold/silver/bronze colored-pens works well and looks cool. just be careful to let any gel pen ink dry before assembling the cards. silver on black cardboard is particularly nice.
if you fancy making a larger deck — which you will end up wanting as it has more variety — consider saving time while cutting cards out. stack or fold the cardboard double or triple instead of just one sheet at a time. especially if you make like 80 lots, this will be the #1 hack.
how to come up with things you can write onto your cards? i tend to get the best deck when i don’t think ahead. unless you have a 100% knack for planning it out, improvise all the way, automatic writing. you’ll get all sorts of keywords in your mind once you start out. double-check for repetitions regularly.
sometimes, you might also feel like writing quotes or longer (maybe channeled) messages on them, no limits to experimenting.
take it slow when writing onto the cards. nothing have i regretted more than jotting things down quickly. if you don’t mind sloppy go ahead, just know using a nice handwriting and taking your time respects the cards. especially if you might use them for others, you never know, keep the letters clean and decently large.
mind you, you might omit writing altogether and sketch symbols or imagery. animals, plants, antiques, planets, zodiac signs. it can be rudimentary or absolutely artful, anything is possible. and again, stickers can come in handy here. you often get pretty and plenty ones in home decor/DIY/gardening/lifestyle magazines that have them included on an extra page. just make sure they are rather thin so you can shuffle the cards well. and that’s it, you’re good to go!
✨ a tarot spread i made for trying to see who’s reaching out to you ✨
1. card to represent entity
queen of cups - a beautiful, introspective woman sits on a throne at the edge of the sea. this entity is a women or has feminine energy, she is caring and compassionate. intuitive and creative, she goes with the flow. she might be an empath, a highly sensitive person, a healer, or psychic.
2. my relationship to them
the empress - a full figured woman, with a peaceful aura and peaceful energy. perhaps someone from my maternal line, with the previous card it seems to make sense that it is a female. a call to connect with feminine energy. she is also deeply connected to nature and perhaps is calling me to connect with nature and the female divine as well. with the pregnant belly showing, it really points to being a maternal ancestor.
3. why are they reaching out
the sun - her warmth and light shine down on me, she wants me to be happy and positive. she wants me to live life to the fullest that perhaps the people who came before me couldn’t have. she wants me to be open and confident, free and careless.
4. how they relate to my ancestors / are they an ancestor?
the hierophant - either they taught my ancestors about spirituality and tradition or they were an ancestor who taught others. they passed on knowledge, perhaps cultural traditions. with the previous cards, it would make sense for this person to be some kind of spiritual advisor or healer.
5. what can i do to hear them out?
page of wands - communicate via prayer or just talking, they want me to undertake a journey but for it to be creative, lively, and free. they want me to be full of energy and find my passion and go for it. perhaps a path similar to the one they took.
6. what can i do to honor them?
eight of pentacles - card of apprenticeship and mastery, whatever i’m currently practicing, keep doing what i’m doing because this is the right path. i’m currently in college studying art history, and trying to learn more and more about my own history. i must keep at this. they are encouraging me to do so. i will achieve success this way.
7. card to represent their origin
seven of wands - this is someone who was fiery at times and stood up for what they believed in. perhaps they were caught in the middle of a battle or constantly had people against them or critical of them. despite their sensitive nature, they defended themselves and protected what they cared about. if they were a teacher of some sort, then it would make sense for them to have a few who did not agree with them.
extra pulled cards: page of pentacles
oracle cards: warrior woman and answer the call

tarot spread for a soul who feels lost:
feel free to save, share (please tag me), and to use this for your own purposes 🖤 i used this spread with a client today and it was a beautiful and insightful message.
A year ago I made a tarot spread for diving into past lives, especially when you hit a block. I love the spread, it was the first one I ever made, but the questions were absolutely in the wrong order. I reordered it and made another graphic! Now for some notes lol.
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
1.) What is the central theme of this past life?
This card is the sun of your spread, the center! This card will give you a good look at what past life you’re looking at, as well as an important theme. You could put The Sun card, or an oracle card here.
2.) What is my ultimate goal for diving into this past life?
This is a change to talk to your higher (or shadow?) self to retrieve the reason you’re even so interested in the first place. I know this is a good reality check for me.
3.) What is blocking me from my goal?
What’s in the way of what’s ‘missing’?
4.) How am I approaching the situation?
What are you doing now?
5.) What is a better approach?
Can what you’re doing now be improved?
6.) Where should I focus?
What aspect should be focused on to find these memories?
7.) What important memories am I missing?
This is the main obstacle, you feel like you’re missing memories, and this will give a clue to what is missing or the theme of what is missing. Here, I’d absolutely pay attention to suits, or areas in major arcana cards.
8.) What do I need to realize or let go of?
If anything is holding you back, now you know. Or if there is a realization that hasn’t been found yet. Sometimes you just need to take a break. This card will tell you that.

Place your hands on either side of the jar, envisioning sparks from your finger tips. You are the evanescent lightning. Hear the thunder from your heart. You are the storm. Seal the jar and keep it where you can see it. Shake when a boost is needed.
