her hands were AGAINST his cheek when his eyes opened , && for a moment , every terrible thing that he had done surfaced . every terrible thing he had been put through came to the forefront . jack panicked almost until his thoughts jogged back into place && her words sank in . YEAH . he was safe . he was absolutely safe . of course he was . why wouldn't he be ? hazel eyes found her face && he deflated before putting his head back . a shaky sigh pulled from his lips . ❝ SORRY , ❞ he said quietly . ❝ morning , ❞ he gave a small smile . || @nightmdic

He was still too apologetic, too grateful for her help. What she wanted from him was not any misplaced gratitude. Nothing he might feel like he owed her for sticking around. For her willingness to protect him from the other hunters. She didn't want his pity, after witnessing a step-mother that would devise a death by werewolf for an unruly step-daughter. What she had chased down to New Orleans, what she wanted was whatever had passed between them in the maze, the crypt, the cage, even... after his turn. That urgency in his hands when he gripped her looking for her scent. That light behind his eyes when Jack smiled at her. The way they'd been able to survive -- together.
-- Same page. It was his whisper that cut her to the quick. For a second after all she could hear was the rushing blood of her own beating heart. Elsa nodded silently, holding her breath. Somewhere in the back of her mind was the awareness she knew even less about him than he did about her, and the vague sense that should bother her more than it did. Jack overwhelmed all her well-built defenses with everything that seemed to come so naturally to him. So when his hands pressed she shifted to allow him to peel her out of the shirt she'd slept in. Cooler air hit exposed skin, and a lifetimes worth of scar tissue. The evidence of her childhood that was hardest to hide. He didn't leave her alone in it for long though. At sunrise she had made her best effort to help him out of his cell while still affording him as much privacy as she was able. No easy task. Now his invitation had her feeling bold enough to run her hands beneath the hem of his shirt and against his skin. She focused on being able to soak up his warmth through her fingertips, savoring this permission to reach for him in return after weeks of curious looks, errant touches. Slowly a guilty smile began to pull faintly at the corners of her mouth as she slid the shirt over his head, tossing it along with her own onto the floor behind them. When she turned back she was stopped by wide, disarming hazel eyes. Without any pause or mention of the scars that preoccupied her mind, his mouth found her. She swore under her breath. Bolder than she'd come to expect of him- less polite... in the best way possible. "Hell --" she breathed. For a long moment she could feel herself sinking into his hands. It was still too soon to lose herself here. All at once her hips shoved at his, pushing him back into the mattress so she could lift herself over him. Back where they left off. Except this time she didn't hover at a safe distance. Jack had promised she wouldn't hurt him and the temptation to take him at his word won out. She draped herself over him, hips prodding back against his even more insistently than before. When she finally interrupted his effort Elsa caught him by the wrists to drag lean arms up over his head and pin them against the sheets. She leaned in slow, giving him time to think better of this, only breaking eye contact when her head dipped in against his neck. She pressed against his skin, trails of kisses across and down his throat before her mouth found his pulse and lingered there. Part of her was tempted to leave a mark, more of her was tempted to devour him. All his sweetness, every kiss across her knuckles, the near reckless trust of asking hunter into his bed. She hadn't noticed before now the way living with her secrets had left her so... starved.
there's a shift now . jack watches it happen in front of him , spilling out , unfurling in spite of all the taboo that came with it . elsa had accepted his reassurance that she wouldn't hurt him . after all , he was torn apart every single month by a creature he could not CONTROL && could not remove himself from . no pain could ever compare to that --- && elsa did not offer pain . she offered a release , a pleasure . a REASSURANCE . so even if jack did ache && twinge slightly , the remnants of his transformation still lingering under his skin , she could not hurt him . she could never hurt him .
as his shirt parted away from his torso , jack paused in his movements , hands still working over elsa's breasts . he pulled his face back , eyes trailing over her skin , noting the way there were numerous scars across her . something that she never spoke about . jack , could easily hazard a guess as to where these came from , the way they LATTICED against her skin , old under newer , but still healed in ways that made him realize how bad her life as a child must have been . jack felt his lips thin but he said nothing . not a word about them left his lips . instead , jack breathed softly , his lips kissing at her skin once more . ❝ eres hermosa . ❞ was what came from his mouth , a reassurance that he found her to be the most beautiful person he had ever met .
weeks && weeks of RESTLESS thoughts . he could not help his feelings that had grown between them . he couldn't deny that the night at bloodstone manor , whatever had happened -- && jack could only remember parts of it before he had been forcefully transformed -- had bonded them , almost completely to the point where jack knew that without her , if she had not found him in new orleans , there was a chance that he would have eventually made his way back to her . between their interaction in her family crypt , to the moment of working to get ted out of there , to the cell && then the seconds before verussa had him transformed , there was a feeling of URGENCY to know && understand her . one that jack had scarcely felt before .
&& doubted he would ever feel again . nothing to this extent . never to this extent .
as she draped herself over him , her hands caught his wrists && she pulled his arms up , PINNING them to the bed , a slight smile flickered across his features as she took him in , knowing perhaps she was doubting this . he wasn't . he would never .
trails of kisses met his jaw && neck , causing jack to arch his head back into the pillows , one hand slipping from her hold && CUPPING the back of her neck . closer to her . like if she drew away from him , she might not return . eyes closed as she continued to kiss him . jack adjusted himself underneath her . he was completely to her whim . her wants .
