Just spent a week with a group of friends and a girl who is openly jealous of me (bc she wants my bf) was with us. Her and another friend were loudly talking shit about me and how I’m not good enough for my bf while I was standing literally feet away and could hear every word???? Then we’re making fun of me for not drinking as much as they do by screaming “fuck sober people” AT ME. At one point I had to slap her hand off of him bc she wouldn’t stop touching him/his hair and I just genuinely don’t understand how someone could claim to be my friend and pull shit like that so consistently????

She did run off to hook up with a random on the beach at one point and I get maybe too much enjoyment out of the fact that said guy tried me first (everyone talks about how hot she is all the time and never once have those words been said about me but in this case I was more desired by 2 different people soooo I’m feeling good about that)

They also spent so much time talking shit about all of their friends at home like guys how old are we? You do know that others can hear you, right?

there’s something about living life deliberately…wearing clothes that you actually want to and that you feel reflect you and your style not just because you’ve had them for years and don’t know what else you would throw on….listening to songs and creating playlists that excite you and represent your actual mood not just listening to songs that you’ve had downloaded for years that don’t make you feel anything special anymore…it’s VERY easy to stay with what you’re comfortable and it might take a bit of experimenting before you find what feels like a deliberate choice that reflects more of YOU but it’s absolutely worth the leap of faith you may have to convince yourself to make in order to stop feeling like a passenger in your own life
