master thesis adventures #31

Not only my big reread and reorganization of all the information has come to an end, but I also had an email exchange with my supervisor. I finally have a loose index and structure to work on and some more things to read. I have yet to answer to the last email but having this sort of structure feels unreal. To be honest I cannot wait to start writing the first drafts of my chapters.

don’t make other people’s decisions for them. apply for the job you don’t think you’ll get. let them decide if you have the skills they’re looking for. tell that person you like them even though you think they’re out of your league. let them decide if they like you. stop trying to predict and control everything. bring what you have to the table. let the rest go.

one of the most boring lessons I’ve learned is that when a task feels overwhelming, you just have to start doing it. Even if you’re not sure how to do 90% of it, look for one small component that seems close and start there. Sometimes it’s reading one article on the topic, or searching one related term, or literally just googling how to do the task. Do anything other than thinking about it. The process of working on a thing inherently makes it less scary.

had a contract law exam today!📚 it went meh, but at least it's all done... that was today's setup for the pre-studying :).
