Hestia was simply attempting to get herself some lunch from the Great Hall in between her classes. She didnāt expect to run into a familiar face- someone who completely got rid of her appetite.Ā āWell you would have to accept failure but someone whoās actually smart and talented wouldnāt have to.ā The response was automatic and snarky. Even though she didnāt want to have a conversation with him, she also wasnāt about to pass up the opportunity to call him stupid.Ā
a ghost of a smile draped its way onto rabastanās lips when he heard a familiar voice insult him. at one point their interactions werenāt quite so icy. at one point nothing but a hot flame danced between them. but now they hadnāt spoken in a long time. both leaving each other just as quickly as they had found each other. rab wiped his face of any emotion as he turned to give her his full attention,Ā ānever said iĀ would accept failure. because iām not stupid enough to fall into such a situation, dear,ā he added the pet name, almost like an after thought,Ā ābut oh wise one, feel free to write my essay,ā a mocking smile grew on his lips.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā WESLEYāS TIME wasnāt often spent at the hogwarts castle these days. his internship at st. mungoās kept him occupied, but during his off time he also assisted madame pomfrey in the medical wing. having just left from there, he wasnāt in the most cheery of moods (was he ever?) which is what prompted him to roll his eyes and grouse: āsuppose you donāt plan on becoming a dragonologist any time soon.ā as if it was any of his business.Ā Ā
to rabastan, minding oneās own business was key. what he did was none of anyone elseās concern. especially not someone like wesley nott. not that bastan knew much about the older boy, but that just made it more obvious he should butt his nose out of his business. with a harsh eye roll, bastan turned a side eye to the older student,Ā ānot worth my time as a matter of fact. and none of your business, mind telling me where i asked you?ā he spoke, void of any emotion.
Who: Liliane & Anyone
Where: The Library
When: Wednesday, September 3
āThat seat is open,ā Liliane said absently, as she heard footsteps behind her. The library seemed unusually crowded at the moment; she wasnāt working anymore, although she still had a neat pile of books in front of her. Margueriteās letter had stolen Lilianeās attention for now, and she probably should give up her seat and go write a reply in the dorm, but she didnāt feel like moving yet.
ādid i ask?ā rabastan remarked coolly, his words ice cold. truth was, he did need a spot to sit. he had to write a number of letters of various importance to scattered people. some he didnāt want the prying eyes of his housemates to see. usually this early in the term, he hadnāt expected so many students to crowd the library. it had done nothing to sooth the short tempered slytherin. however, image was important,Ā āpardon me, busy libraries can make one,ā he paused,Ā āirritable,ā he forced a smile, before taking the empty seat, pulling his ink, quill, and parchment.Ā
when: september 6, 1980
where: outside, near the black lake
who: lily evans and anyone
The school year had started off successfully, and in between classes, clubs, and her duties with the prefects, Lily was starting to find her rhythm. Luckily, the weather was still nice enough to bring her studying outside, and with a wide array of books spread around her, it took quite a bit to make her look up. When she finally did, though, she could only shake her head, before calling out,Ā āIf youāre not careful youāll fall in! Wouldnāt want to excite the squid this early in the year.ā
it was never that rabastan had any personal issue with lily evans, but the sight of her flowing red hair had never ceased to cause a dull headache to throb at the front of his forehead. but he loved the lake, the giant squid being one of his favorite creatures. from where he stood in the tree, a branch dangling out over the water, he assumed they wouldnāt have to speak to one another. of course, lily would have to ruin his quiet contemplation,Ā āevans, if i wanted to fall in, i would have,ā his eyes rolled before he dropped, now holding onto the branch with ease,Ā ābesides, me and the squid get on just fine,ā
being as well versed as he was in the dark arts, bastan didnāt know why he continued on the path for defense against the dark arts. sure, it did help cover for his death eater ties, something he didnāt claim too loudly, but the class always felt beneath him. as he walked out of the classroom, he couldnāt stop the bored sigh from escaping his lips, his eyes rolling as he recalled the essay he had been assigned by the fool of a teacher. mumbling to himself as he trotted down the stairs,Ā āwhy in the bloody hell, would anyone subject themselves to trying to defend against a bloody dragon? might as well accept your failure and die right there,ā
hello everyone !! iām digby and i have a hyper fixation !! iām literally already working on a second app hehehe far more important tho !! here is my garbage boy rabastan
dļ¾ļ¾ļ½„ļ½” ( itzan escamilla, cis male, he/him ) ā šššššššš šš šššš šš ššššššš šššš RABASTAN LESTRANGE, the NINTH year SLYTHERIN student ! i hear that the NINETEEN year old is known to be DUTIFUL and INTUITIVE and also very BRUTAL and DISDAINFUL. however, if you ask me, the fact that they are a PUREBLOOD and leaning towards the side of the DEATH EATERS is a lot more telling.
pinterest : here !
as the youngest lestrange, rabastan felt like he could never leave the shadow of his older brother. he never felt good enough for his parents, probably because they insisted on telling him so any chance they could. he was a disappointment. that never stopped him from trying to prove otherwise. to prove himself to be just as capable of leading the family to even grander things.
quite the skilled potion maker and magical historian. in his mind these were essential to any good wizard. of course his father looked down on these talents, holding them close to silly things muggles could do. so because of this, rabastan put a lot of work into becoming a skilled duelist. of course, most of this talent came from sly and cheaty spells, but to rab, this was just being the smarter duelist.
truthfully, he finds the blood purity thing stupid. magic is magic, and it would be impossible for muggles to use magic unless they really were wizards, therefore muggle borns must be real wizards. however, due to feeling like he needs to conform, and that he needs to have this attention and validation from his family, he follows the pureblood supremacy ideals. not to mention the power trip he gets from it all.
due to never feeling it in his home life, rabastan sought out power in any form he could. one of those ways was through various pets and creatures. while never cruel to them, he did require all of them to be well trained, and to follow all his commands to a T.
never raised in a house with kindness, itās all a strange concept to him. while he has plenty of friends, he doesnāt have a delicate nature with them. at times, he can be harsh with them as well.
as the slytherin prefect, he doesnāt take the job as seriously as he should. often abusing the position for his own benefit, manipulating situations for his own gain. its just another power trip
while heās not a great team player, his strong build makes him a fantastic keeper. its one of the only things he truly takes seriously. he loves winning, he loves being the reason the team wins.
being vice president of the potions club makes his blood boil. he believes heās far better than the rest of the club, even if thatās not the case. now for most of the meetings he just goes around correcting people, and telling them what theyāve just ruined.Ā
being good at potions, and having such a powerful last name sealed him a spot in the slug club. he hates it, and thinks its a load of pompous busy bodies all around. but the connections will be useful for his future, so he puts up with it all, charming smile coming when needed.
