“I see.. so it’s not something that exists in your world,” the admittance wasn’t surprising to Watanuki in the least, however; even before arriving in this place, his knowledge of other worlds helped him to understand the differences between them and his own. It would be strange for all of them to be similar as well, wouldn’t it? “Well, I do hope you enjoy celebrating Halloween during your stay in Spirale. It seems to be a favourite amongst many people.”
“Please, help yourself,” Watanuki gives the girl a small nod of his head as they make it into his living room, indicating that she was free to sit wherever she’d like. She did look tired, after all– he wondered just where exactly she had travelled from while carrying such a big pumpkin. “As for the carving itself.. typically, people tend to make scary looking faces out of them. But really, it all depends on what you want to see. For example..”
He moved a little, reaching into a drawer in one of his side tables to pull out a black marker. After going down to the ground on his knees, Watanuki appeared to go deep into thought before he began to draw something on the pumpkin’s orange surface. It didn’t take him very long, and once he was finished, he turned it around for Mia to see; the vegetable now sporting a pair of sharp looking eyes, with a wide, toothy smile underneath. It definitely wasn’t scary, although the attempt was there..
“I’m not much of an artist I’m afraid, but this would be the general idea. If you don’t like this one, we can wipe it off with a towel and try something different. What do you think?”
💙❄💙👼 : She shakes her head. “ Not at all. ” It’s strange to admit, really; ‘halloween’ was a word that felt utterly alien in her tongue, no matter how much she heard it, how much she repeated. “ Was it a thing where you come from ? I must admit that there’s so many people around here, you hardly can keep track of everything. I assumed it was a favorite; everyone seemed to ectastic for it. ”
Doing as her host said, Mia takes a step inside; it was comfortable and clean, and nobody knows better than her that one’s space told much about their person. She whipped her feet on the carpet, and thanked him for letting her in. “I’m fine with anything, to be honest. I don’t consider myself the most creative person out there,” came her sheepish response. “I’m far from being skillful with crafts, but I wanted to give it a try.”
She observed as Watanuki searched on his drawer, curious about it. The black maker made it all more evident, more so when he drew the sharp teeth on the pumpkin. She tilted her head to the side, analyzing its feautures, looking at the drawing, a faint smile on her face.
“I wouldn’t say you’re not an artist. It looks pretty good, actually,” definitely much better than whatever scribbles she could do, anyways. “If nothing else, it’s good enough to start with !”
