Some ASMR of me doodling.
One time I ate an edible
And I talked to an imaginary woman in my bathtub who was making butterflies out of water droplets on the shower wall and softly whispering “Maripoooohsaaaah” as she let them loose into the room
You ever eat an edible and oH no it’s happening agaiN
When I die I hope I’m reincarnated as someone who has one of those gel-infused mattress covers. #iwannafeelniiiiiiiiiiiiice

My last two brain cells when I start a new daydream plot
08/14 11:01 pm Feeling a little defeated. Still feeling slight disappointment because I withdrew from university. I have to stop and really remember why I decided to leave last month. I did it for a better me. I will go back in due time. Right now, the only important thing is my mental health. Seeing my friends finish the summer semester shouldn’t be making me feel like a failure, but it’s so hard to not feel that way. Maybe next year I’ll be back in Ann Arbor with a clear mind and I’ll be more likely to succeed. Or, I may just have to accept the fact that I might not want to do that. If that is indeed how I feel, note the “I”, then I shouldn’t beat myself up. No one can fight their emotions. No matter how I feel when I am done with this part of my mental health journey, the very best thing I can do is accept it. Take things one day at a time, and when I need to be somewhere, I will be. Whatever I feel and wherever I’m at will be for good reason. There we go. Im feeling a bit better <3.
Today in group: a collage. “Goals”. Remember to spread love, work together, and keep myself surrounded by color and see beauty in everything. Then I will flourish.
Today’s doodle: a watercolor: “Quasar”. For those nights when you want to look up and stargaze but the weather does not permit. #galaxy #ufo #spaceart #watercolor
I’m going paddleboarding this weekend and I invited 4 of my friends. 3 of them bailed and one of them still hasn’t answered. Guess what bitch is still going paddleboarding even if it means going alone?
Moral of the story:
Stop waiting on other people to live your life
This is why I do everything alone.
When I went with my friends to Orlando, I wanted to go to Universal but they werent feeling up to it that day. Guess who hitched a ride from the hotel to Universal and had a fucking blast all by himself exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
Don’t wait! Live your life! Those who love you will come along on the journey!
The most important thing is to find yourself. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that more often than not we are lost. Lost in our heads, in our traumas; our thoughts are racing and muddied together. The first and best step though, is accepting help. The only way to grow and flourish is to stop and breathe and take baby steps. It’s okay to not know what you’re doing, as long as your heart is in the right place. I’m trying, and the journey will pay off.
I did this portrait in the mental ward. I find it incredibly helpful right now. Looking at it, seeing how vibrant it is, the whole composition helps me see what I want to become. I’m slowly guiding myself through things right now, and it helps me to know that everything will be okay and fall into the right places in due time.
Today I am grateful that the small sparks of my passions are still burning. I have not completely lost myself.
I feel this!!!
mental illness & studying:
i know the new school year is coming up so i thought i’d do a little advice segment on mental illness whilst in education.
i am someone who has struggled with mental illness since i started high school, including college. at first i struggled with depression & symptoms of bpd, and this has evolved into including extremely bad anxiety as i have gotten into college and bad attention issues.
firstly, there is nothing wrong with wanting to get help! just do it, tell someone, prefreferably your parents, but anyone able to help is an option.
secondly, dont put too much stress on yourself. i was working 16-20 hours a week at a v busy retail job, doing 4 a levels (incl the hardest considered @ alevel), trying to maintain all A*s whilst also doing a lot of extracurricular tutoring, rep events for college and competitions. this wasnt a viable way to manage life. i ended up with my anxiety reaching breaking point and i had to quit my job, bc i couldn’t quit college. look at what you can manage and deal with that only. you know what you can and cant do, dont take on extracurricular if you cant deal, dont get a job if you cant deal. i felt a bit shamed when i quit bc i felt it was pathetic, but i know now that it was the best option for me at the time.
thirdly, do keep on top of your work. i didnt really work in my frees or at home and it did show. whilst i got good grades initially (idk my exam results yet), i could feel a struggle starting. if you are someone like me who struggles paying serious attention, find techniques that work for YOU.
finally, take time for yourself. take breaks, binge watch your favourite tv show, draw, play your fave video game, even sleep. college and school is important but it’s not working yourself to death important. remind urself of who you are.
What can you give?
