The way Tai looks at her with both loyalty and concern when Nat is crowned leader, she is pledging to stay by her side, but she’s also worried for the weight of responsibility (and danger) Nat is now taking on:
Tai and Nat dancing together in the pilot episode:
•Nat putting Tai in her trusted circle of advisors during her time as Antler Queen (seemingly her main advisor).
•Tai not wanting to let Nat drive her car because she’s a terrible driver. When she finally acquiesces, Nat gets into Tai’s car and yells to her “How the fuck do you start this thing?!”
•Tai giving a heartfelt speech about Natalie needing more support (“Who does Natalie have?), and how she owes her life to Nat, and then immediately following this up by saying, “The fuck took you so long?!” when Nat gets back into the car.
•Tai scolding Nat, “Put the fucking phone down!” and Nat responding, “You know I don’t like it when you yell at me.”
•Tai falling to her knees with grief when Nat dies.
•Tai acknowledging Nat’s childhood trauma with her father after Nat’s funeral.
•Tai and Nat being two of the only survivors to keep in touch throughout the 25 years post-rescue!!!
Probably many more that I’m not thinking of right now.
