Wes: So I'm getting ice cream but there are so many flavors.

Blaise: Oh or some kind of fruity stuff.
You? A bore? That’s bullshit; you’re a Harman. On top of that, you’re my favorite Harman, so you’re not allowed to be boring. Everyone else here is boring, and I at least need one person to actually be frank with.
You can be frank with me all you like but my days of living wild have come to an end for now. I’ve gotten all domestic while you were gone. I’m surprisingly happy about it too.

Not much, really. I just brought my usual games to other places, and now I’m back.
You probably missed the impact those games have on such a small town. It’s so much more exciting to pull things off when it’s such a big deal. I had a few incidents myself while you were away. Unfortunately I’m a bore now.

Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in.
Thea was left with her mouth wide open and for a couple of moments she stood to the same place she was in before Blaise stormed away. I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant kept playing in the background, like an echo and only after a few minutes could Thea react. Absolutely shocked, she took off and started screaming for Blaise, finally finding her. She couldn’t tell how she felt, because she had no idea. She could’t bring herself to believe it. She had had made a wrong assumption a couple of months ago. Certainly… Blaise hadn’t been pregnant since then, had she? Shaking that thought away, she knelt in front of her cousin, trying not to sound angry, but she had too many emotions riled within in. “You can’t run away after throwing such a bomb Blaise! Is this some kind of sick joke, because if it is, I swear to God, I won’t forgive you!”
There was no way Blaise planned to respond to the screaming. She couldn’t bare it. Luckily she didn’t have to reply since Thea found her. “You didn’t want to speak to me so why can’t I? Thea. I wouldn’t make a joke like this. I’m not as stupid as you may think. It happened on Halloween and it was my own fault. The spell made Wesley human. I wanted to tell you so many times but I thought if I did you would hate me and I love you so much that I couldn’t stand even thinking of that. I’m so scared. I’ve never been this scared, Thea. Please don’t hate me. I need you,” she pleaded as the words finally poured forth. It was almost a relief to tell her.
It didn’t surprise him that it was her least favorite holiday because she tended to flow against what most people liked. It was one of the things he loved about her—the fact that she was a constant surprise when it came to her opinions. That despite the rough and tough exterior, her heart was the most loyal and loving one out there. She may not have given it to many, but once she did, he knew it was for life. “Well we’ll just have to change that won’t we.” He whispered in the little space that remained between them. His voice remained quiet as though to hide the words from everyone and everything. The universe itself. They were for them only; their moments only theirs. A light chuckle passed his lips at her words. “I’m the king of domestic, don’t you know. I’m the ideal soccer mom.” Moving away only a little, he pressed his lips to the side of her head as the vampire walked to the other side of the counter. “What’re you in the mood for? Be warned, Kyle pretty much only taught me how to make pasta and cut vegetables so I guess your options are slightly limited.”
“I’m surprisingly open to that change,” she agreed lowly, her eyes locked on his. Blaise felt an ache in her heart over how much she loved the man standing in front of her. He knew just what to say and do to make her happy. The picture of him as a soccer mom had her laughing as well and she closed her eyes when he kissed the side of her head, savoring their moment. “Please don’t get a mini van,” Blaise joked before she leaned against the counter as he asked what she wanted and then mentioned her options. “Another reason to thank Kyle,” she answered, feeling even happier she had her as a friend. “And pasta sounds fantastic by the way,” Blaise added with a smile. The food didn’t even matter to her because the mere idea of him learning to cook for her was enough to make her happy.
Kyle gave Blaise a wide smile in response. Though she didn’t know Blaise as well, quickly enough they became really good friends and she felt protective of the woman as she would any of her friends. That was how she knew when people went from just being acquaintances to being her friends because she would never let anything happen to her friends. “I’m sure that you’re thinking they’ll be more judgment than they actually will be. It’s hardly as though the people in this city are normal.” Kyle joked with a light shrug, knowing that what she meant would be understood by the brunette. “My life’s boring. Work, work, work. That’s pretty much it.”
Blaise couldn’t help the pleased smile that now graced her lips. Life was dealing her very good hands as of late and Kyle was surely one of them. Besides she couldn’t disgree with her. The people in this city were very far from normal. “I think you are most likely right,” she admitted gently, even though she had nodded her agreement before when Kyle first spoke. “If that’s truly the case we really need to get you out more often. Maybe you can help me with all these baby related things or you can tell me something you like to do for fun that doesn’t involve drinking.”
Little Mommy Things || Blaise & Ruby
“Nonsense, I love cheesy and sentimental.” She said smiling. “I’m really happy you asked me to come.” There was so much to do, there was an endless list running through Ruby’s of where to go and what to get. She couldn’t help but think of when she’d first had Rashel. Her daughter probably didn’t remember, but Ruby had spoiled her rotten. In the end though, it hadn’t made much of a difference. But for Blaise, things were going to be different. Ruby already felt a sense of protectiveness for the girl and her unborn child, but then again Ruby tended to be protective of everyone. She considered it a good thing though, everybody needs someone to worry about them. “Sounds good. You can also order some of the things online if you find something you want that’s too expensive at the stores. There’s a pretty big shop right around the corner that has plenty of things. Is there anything specific you’re looking for, or anything you already have?” She asked, as they started to walk towards the shop. It was all very exciting to her, and she grinned at Blaise’s words. Blaise was such a beautiful young woman, and Ruby imagined a little baby girl with her pretty green-brown eyes and sweet smile. “I can understand that. I had to wait until I knew if I was having a boy or a girl before buying all of the clothes, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to resist the sweet little ribbons and flowers.” She smiled at the memory, again thinking of the contrast of the girl her daughter had become. “Until then, we could also buy some clothes for you.” She pointed out, recalling the strange stretchy pants she’d had to wear while she was pregnant.Â
“I’m just glad I had someone to ask that would agree,” Blaise responded softly, feeling vulnerable but happy. At the mention of shopping online Blaise realized that she had once again overlooked an option. She didn’t do much online shopping as it was so it never occured to her to actually buy baby things that way. Sure she had looked up items she needed but not to actually buy. What a silly thing to overlook. “Wesley will probably like the idea of online shopping. We haven’t actually gotten much. We started to think about ideas but it’s all so new that getting something and having it be wrong has been a little worrisome. I definitely could use a little guidance,” she admitted with a slight shrug. Blaise was also glad to hear that it wasn’t just her that had trouble resisting the cute girly baby items. ”We’ll have to go out again once I find out. And hopefully we both get to indulge in our urge to shop for cute things,” she offered with a smile. A second later she was wrinkling her nose at the thought of buying clothes for herself. There it was again. The part of this that would make it clear to the world that she was pregnant. “Buying things for myself kind horrifies me.” I just can’t help worrying about everyone knowing.”
“Do we? Then talk. I do have to be at the shelter in 15 minutes, so please try to be quick. Shouldn’t be a problem for you.”
“Fine. I’m pregnant. Enjoy your time at the shelter,” Blaise replied, her tone cool as she brushed past Thea and went out the nearest door, slamming it behind her. The brush off had sparked her anger and she knew it probably had something to do with hormones but she couldn’t control it. Leaning against the wall she shrunk down until she could wrap her arms around the knees. A large part of her felt like crying but instead she just stared at nothing. This was the most scared she’d ever been in her life. She hadn’t been able to bear the thought of seeing Thea’s disappointment but now it was like she could imagine it perfectly just like she had every day since she had found out she was pregnant.

God knows I need plenty of help with that. I’ll have to pick up many hobbies.
He leaned in and let his forehead rest against hers, his arm snaking around her back completely to hold her closer to him. “Good because even if you forgot what day it is, I didn’t. And unpacking on Valentine’s Day is hardly memorable.” It was their first Valentine’s Day together and despite everything, their bumpy start and rough seas, Wesley couldn’t have asked for anything more than her. He didn’t know the last time he had been as happy as he was now. All the partying in the world, all the alcohol, nothing compared to even a fraction of the time he spent with her. “I learned how to cook.”
Letting her arms wrap fully around his neck Blaise closed her eyes for a moment just letting the feeling of happiness wash over her. Never in her past had imagined she’d be living as happily as she was now. She didn’t think she deserved it. Part of her still questioned if she did sometimes but she wouldn’t let that ruin anything for her anymore. She opened her eyes at the mention of Valentine’s Day and wrinkled her nose, frowning slightly. “My least favorite of all the holidays,” she murmured. Blaise wasn’t trying to be rude but she’d never been a fan of couples mooning over each other but maybe now things could be different. As if to prove her right Wesley finally told her his plan and she couldn’t begin to hold back her smile. “How adorably domestic,” she teased, even though she was thrilled.
Little Mommy Things || Blaise & Ruby
Ruby walked over to the mall, eager to meet up with Blaise. It had been a really long time since she’d gone shopping, and an even longer time since she’d gone shopping for baby things. She was extremely excited to be going with Blaise, and she was excited for her in general. She was going to be a wonderful mother, Ruby could just feel it. She also couldn’t help but feel incredibly proud of the girl. She was going through exactly what Ruby went through with Raksha- well, not exactly, but it was similar. Ruby knew what it was like to get pregnant at a young age. She knew how it felt to be told that she would not be good enough to be a mother, and she knew how it felt to believe that. But Blaise was such a strong young lady. Ruby had let the world convince her that she wasn’t good enough, and she had given up on her won daughter. It was the worst thing she ever did in her life. But Blaise wasn’t going to a make a mistake. She was strong enough to get it right, and Ruby felt lucky to be able to witness that and be a part of it. She felt like by helping Blaise she was making up or her mistakes, and she knew how frightening it could be, so she was going to do everything in her power to make sure that Blaise didn’t feel alone. Ruby smiled when she saw her, walking over to side hurriedly. “Well, I’m happy to be here to help.” She replied with a smile. “Not that I think you need my help, I think you’re going to do great no matter what, but I just mean that if you want my help, then I’m here- and I’m really happy to be.” She stopped herself before she went on rambling. “Sorry, I’m a bit excited.”Â
It became clear to Blaise in moments that Ruby was practically bursting with excitement. Excitement that she was sure would help to keep her from feeling too high strung and worried. Blaise wasn’t sure what it was about Ruby that made her so trustful and at ease but she also wasn’t going to be her usual paranoid self and question it. She couldn’t even hold back the small smile that found it’s way to her lips as Ruby rambled a bit about helping her. “Don’t apologize,” she insisted. “I do think I need you. Maybe it’s not the kind of need where I’ll fail alone but I need you because I feel grounded just from seeing you. And on that note I will try to stop being cheesy and sentimental for at least a little while,” Blaise concluded, knowing that it was probably her hormones that made her feel so grateful in that moment. Not that she wouldn’t have been normally but she probably wouldn’t have gone on and on about it on a normal day. “So do you have any idea of where to begin? I’m thinking I’ll take some pictures of things I can’t decide on just to remember to get them later but if it’s too cute I might not be able to resist. I’ve been having a little bit of trouble with getting too many girly things as well,” she explained, which sorta gave away that she was hoping to have a little girl of her own. She’d be happy either way but she was allowed to hope she’d get a chance to raise a small version of herself.
There was no in-between for her. It was either all or nothing. She wanted everything but settled for nothing (insp).
