Using songs to make magic
Method one: Charms and enchanting
1. Find a song with intentions that support your magic. We will use the Linkin Park song “Roads Untraveled” as an example for a spell meant to release grief or heartache.
Snip out lyrics that work as a charm and focus the most heavily on your intent.
Weep not for roads untraveled
Weep not for paths left lone
Cause beyond every bend is a long blinding end
It’s the worst kind of pain I’ve known
Give up your heart left broken
And let that mistake pass on
Cause the love that you lost wasn’t worth what it cost
And in time, you’ll be glad it’s gone
Build a spell however you normally do, using the lyrics as the vocal portion.
2. When you are ready to cast the spell, you have some options.
Say or sing the lyrics on your own
Play the song and allow it to function as the vocal portion, with extra mental emphasis on the portions you chose
Play the song and sing along with it
3. If the spell needs recharging, play the song again.
1. Find a song that carries the sort of energy you would like to put in to an object. Play the song (you can even play it through headphones) and get the item near the music. Use your will to direct the energy from the music in to the object. Whenever the item needs to be recharged, play the song for it again!
1. Find a music that encapsulates the mood you want. Before you turn on the song, be aware that you will draw the essence of the music inside of yourself. As the song plays, maintain a focus for as long as possible that the music is flowing in to you and empowering you.
1. Choose a song which has words or intent of banishing. Announce or willfully intend that it will help clear an object, a space, or yourself of undesired entities or energies. Blast it as loud as possible.
