Fiona swallowed her pills without water and Madison’s earlier words played back in her mind. You’re so stubborn that even death won’t want to deal with you. If only that were true… if only it were that easy. The Supreme once again let her eyes focus on Madison, watching the girl’s face in the mirror as she opened the box. What she saw was a genuine reaction, even though it was obvious Madison was trying to conceal it. Just as she had been trying to conceal her concern when she saw the state of Fiona’s room, asked if anyone had tried to take care of her. Fiona hadn’t bothered answering that because the answer was, of course, no. And Madison ought to know better.
"Looks better on you than it did on me," Fiona said once Madison had fastened the clasp. The black onyx practically glittered against the younger witch’s fair skin… and just for a second, Fiona’s entire being filled with envy. Youth she would never ever again know was paraded there in front of her in the form of Madison Montgomery, a sharp and somewhat harsh reminder of what Fiona herself once was. Even if she somehow sidestepped her destiny and lived through this, she would never, ever return to her former glory. She would never be that again.
Her self-pity was interrupted when Madison hugged her—such an unexpected gesture that Fiona wasn’t quite sure how to react and therefore simply didn’t. She could nearly feel the emotion coming off Madison, but Fiona had nothing left to give. The half-smile she managed faded quickly once Madison spoke. “There’s no getting me better. If there was any chance of that… you know I’d have taken it by now. It isn’t going to happen, honey.” That term of endearment came from Fiona’s lips in a tone usually only reserved for Cordelia… but she supposed Madison needed it now, too.
This was the reason why Madison hated people and saw them as people to eliminate; perhaps it was the way that Madison saw the world. Once Madison liked someone you needed to like them, too. And knowing that no one helped Fiona besides, of course, Zoe, had really ticked her off. Of course there were things that Madison disliked about Fiona, just as there were things that Fiona hated about Madison. Hate and love such a fine line. Madison was furious she could almost mess the whole room up again. "I'll give them hell later." She simply replied. Madison had always felt the need to put people in their place. No one else would do it, so she would, and she didn't mind it. She liked being leader and she liked being in control. People didn't want to be supreme as bad as Madison did and they surely didn't work for it like she did. It was times like these that she was grateful to have that hard work ethic. She couldn't handle slackers. She couldn't handle people who didn't try. That, was something she couldn't cooperate. She remembers her father yelling at her when she was six because she didn't want to say her lines and he kept on telling Madison that she could do better, to aim for perfection, or get the hell out of his way. She was constantly yelled at as a child; if not by her parents then by the paparazzi. She had fallen in love easily as a child because it was simple, easy, but then word would spread and then she'd be on the front news and her boyfriends would break up with Madison because they made up rumours about the girl that weren't true. When Madison found out she was a witch she finally had a purpose again. If she couldn't be the perfect daughter, she could surely be something better than that. She could show people that she was something better than what they told her. No one would ever understand why her drive to become the supreme was so big. People were just willing to put Madison down because they could.
Madison had felt the stare from Fiona; and that was the thing, Madison caught on to everything, she wasn't an idiot, she just never said anything about it. Instead of acknowledging the stare she continued on looking at it before she turned around to Fiona who was getting worse and worse with her health. She didn't show what she was feeling, neither of them did. That was the problem. It was amazing that Cordelia was her spawn, you would have never thought of it at first glance. Cordelia was sweet, too sweet for Madison's liking. She always thought those people were fake and that they were just an obstacle that she needed to demolish, but she knew that Fiona loved her daughter, perhaps, somewhere deep down in that black hole of a heart. There had to be a small little sliver of love for her. But it would never show, just like Madison would never truly ever love someone again. It would be in secret, small things; whether it was with Zoe or someone else, but she didn't see anyone else for her. No one would ever tolerate Madison and stick with her like Zoe did and she knew that she was fucked from these feelings for the girl. She had finally decided to take care of the older woman now. She had done a spell hoping that would ease some of the pain before she thought of what else she could do to help the lady since no one else was doing it. And once again, Madison was there for Fiona, taking care of her, when she didn't have to. You could say that Madison didn't have a heart, but that wouldn't be particularly true. "Now, I'm only offering this once," Madison started off, "what do you want me to do for you mom... Shit, uh, Fiona." It had slipped, but she prayed that it would come and go as it came. She was being submissive for one moment because the older woman was in pain and obviously needed help. "Offer is about to expire."
