So I lurk on reddit’s witchcraft subreddit frequently and today someone by the username “shymcf” posted this. (Link includes the thread)
Some woman was throwing these glass jars into the ocean and frankly, I’m furious. You don’t throw non-biodegradables into the ocean! That’s straight up littering! Luckily the cops showed up which prompted her to stop her littering but she got away; OP fished them out of the water afterward.
And in case anyone was wondering what’s inside, the OP said there were raw eggs inside, some broken, and paprika.
Omfg! Listen up witches! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I know most of you wouldn’t do anything this foolish, but for those who think you can throw whatever shit you want into any body of water, you need to think again! There are plenty of ways to achieve the same results without littering. I’m assuming this woman was cursing everyone she knows and trying to get rid of them, but you can do that many, many different ways. Do some damn research. AND DONT FUCKING LITTER!
Don’t be that witch. Keep your jars for your home spells and protection jars. I’ve seen plenty of broken jars on Galveston Beach down here due to this foolishness, don’t do it.
Ok littering because of witchcraft is really bad. But I really am more offended of how incredibly smart and undoubtedly right the person saying that it won’t do wrong is. Like where did you learn that glass turns back into sand or doesn’t put a lot of the sea creatures in danger, even if it becomes smooth it can’t really be doing much good when a fish accidentally swolows it. I expect more from witches than to just throw things like that! Make sure whatever you burn/put into the water or earth has 0,00℅ way of damaging anything!
DO NOT POLLUTE FOR THE SAKE OF WITCHCRAFT. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
7 Herbs Known to Help Induce Prophetic Dreams (that don't cost an arm and a leg!)
When we say ’prophetic dreams’, we are talking of dreams that allow us a glimpse into the future. They may be vivid, or perhaps a mere clue amongst a sea of confusing subconscious flashes and imagery. The following herbs amplify and enhance psychic power and induce prophetic dreams:
Bay Leaves: place beneath your pillow before you go to sleep.
Heliotrope: place the leaves under your pillow before sleeping.
Jasmine: burn the dried flowers in an incense burner prior to sleeping.
Marigold: scatter the flowers in or around the bed before you go to sleep.
Mimosa: fill a bag with the flowers and place under ypur pillow - the colours blue and yellow are often connected to psychic awareness.
Mugwort: filling a bag and placing under the pillow or drinking this as a tea are very effective methods when it comes to inducing dreams.
Peppermint: fill a bag with the leaves and place it underneath your pillow. You can also drink peppermint tea prior to sleeping.
SMALL WITCHY THINGS YOU CAN DO AROUND THE HOUSE
Put a small ward on the door and windows
Visualize the energy you are getting when eating food or ingesting caffeine
Put a glamour on your make-up and brush
Put a glamour on your closet for the clothes inside
Put a small bowl/plate with rose quartz, amethyst, and quartz crystal on your sink counter
Make every shower a “cleansing” for yourself and every bath a gentle recharging
Hang a sigil somewhere in your kitchen to ensure delicious food
Spend a few minutes talking to your plants
Meditate for at least 5 minutes a day
If you do sage cleansings, mix the leftover ashes and sea salt together in a container to keep for if you need a quick protection
Charm your necklace for protection and recharge it once a week
Charm your shoes to ensure that you will make it to where you are going
Add some of y'all’s small things y’all do around the house
HEY HUGE PSA THOUGH please don't use white sage. It's endangered and is a sacred plant for indigneous people. Use other sage, or mugwort. NOT white sage! PLEASE!
This has been a PSA!

~a spell to heal a wilting plant~
ingredients
🌱full moon water (and a container for it)
🌱fresh soil
🌱ground eggshell powder
🌱dried leaves or roots you have collected from said plant
instructions:
1)re-pot and change your plants soil (you can look up how to do it if you dont know how)(also re-pot doesn’t mean you cant use the same pot)this is good to do for your plant every once in awhile even if you are not performing a spell
2) take some of the new soil from the pot and surround the container of moonwater so you have a ring of soil with the water in the center. sprinkle the eggshell over the ring. place the leaves/roots around the ring (or in between depending on how big you made your ring) you can also add any crystals or additional herbs you associate with healing to the ritual if you wish
3) hold your hands over the water and fill it with the energy of all the things you have surrounded it with. add your own personal intent and energy. this step might take a bit of concentration and prior knowledge in energy manipulation
4) once you feel the water is plenty charged, return the soil back to the plant’s pot and despose of the dried leaves.
5) use your newly charged water to water your plant (i recommend using a spray bottle but shwatevs) if you wish, hum or sing a song to your plant while you water it.
🌱 this was my first ever original spell aaaaaa so sorry if its a bit confusing 🌱

The preschool is buying heirloom sunflower seed in bulk. We’re going to make a ‘Sunflower House’.
How to grow a sunflower house
@bacheloretteofscience THIS WORKS so well!
If you want to get super fancy, do a second ring on the outside of 4’ tall sunflowers then a third outer ring of the 1’ tall teddy bear sunflowers. If there are any gaps you can interplant with cosmos, amaranth and nasturtiums or (if there are huge gaps) gourds.
My mom used to do this for me in the backyard as a kid- it really works and I always loved it! Spent so many summer days having tea parties with teddy bears in my sunflower house.
Okay so… I could witch the hell outta this
do you want faeries? this is how you get faeries
Signs as ancient Greek festivals
Aries: Daedala - celebrated in Boeotia in honor of Hera. In the festival, a wooden statue was dressed completely as a bride, to present Hera’s protectiveness of marriages and brides. At the end of the festival the statue would be burned along with sacrificial animals and a wooden altar.
Taurus: Noumenia - celebrated on the first day of the lunar month, it was described as the holiest of all days. On that day everything exhausting or stressful was forbidden, government would shut down, along with everything else in the city. Everyone just stayed at home and relaxed. Later in the day they would go out and give their offerings to the gods.
Gemini: Hybristica - festival in honor of Aphrodite at which either sex appeared in the dress of the other. Women would insult their husbands and treated them with every mark of inferiority as they are for the rest part of the year and men were forced to just sit there in their dresses and stay quiet.
Cancer: Antesphoria - Flower festival celebrated on Sicily and Peloponnesus in honor of Persephone. It represented her gentle and soft side before she was taken to the Underworld. On this day everyone would pick the most beautiful flowers and make wreaths and leave them on the ground as an offering.
Leo: Pyanopsia - Athenian festival in Apollo’s honor. This festival included playing of rustic music and brining two offerings to Apollo’s temple. Hodgepodge of pulse (the first ripen fruits and edible seeds of previous harvest) and a branch of olive or laurel bound with wool, around which were fruits common in that season
Virgo: Brauronia - Festival of Artemis in Brauron, in which girls, aged between five and ten, dressed in saffron robes and played a game where everyone acted like they are bears. They danced, trying to appease to the goddess. Since she sent a plague to their city after her bear was killed..
Libra: Adonia - festival held annually for women to mourn the death of Adonis. It was not a state festival, but actually organized solely by women of Athens. From notable wives to prostitutes. During the festivals all the women danced. sang and drank on their rooftops before descending to the street and mimicking a funeral for Adonis.
Scorpio: Thargelia - festival in the honor of Apollo and Artemis. It was held in May on their birthdays. The festival included offerings of the first fruits of the earth that came after the winter, sacrificing sheep and swine + sacrificing two ugliest men they could find. One for the protection of men and one for the protection of women.
Sagittarius: Orgia - enraptured style festival. It is more of a cult worship than a festival. It was on Dionysus honor. Participants were heavily under influence of alcohol and would dance around with masks and torches in their hands and trying to sacrifice as many animals, that surrounded them, as they could.
Capricorn: Panathenaea - Athenian festival in honor of goddess Athena. It was held every 4 years in rivalry with Olympic games. It is one of the biggest and most important festivals. It consists of lots different games. Embroidering new robe for Athena, musical contests, sports and sacrificing of domestic animals.
Aquarius: Cotyttia - night orgiastic festival that celebrated sex. It was in honor of Kotys, goddess of sex, but it is actually believed that that is just an aspect of Persephone. They celebrated Persephone’s transfer to the Underworld and the fact that she gave into Hades and let him have her body.
Pisces: Dionysia - Athenian festival in honor of God Dionysus. It consists of theatrical performances of tragedies and comedies. It was also big part of Dionysian mysteries.
A Practical Guide to Homeopathy
Lesson Three: Soothing Salves
Salves are a simple yet effective way of applying the medicinal qualities of herbs. They’re the consistency of a cream at room temperature and portable for on-the-go topical application. By combining various herbal-infused oils, an individual can address a variety of ailments, from arthritis to asthma. Each salve can be customized to the individual to treat a specific illness or can be general all-heal tool in your first aid kit.
Base Ingredients
Herbal-infused Oils
To craft a salve, you must start with herbal-infused oils as your primary base. For this, there are two components: your choice of herb(s) and your choice of carrier oil(s). Some commonly used carrier oils are olive, grapeseed, almond and safflower.
At the end of this post, there will be an overview of common herbs and carrier oils so that you can make an educated decision when crafting your herbal-infused oils.
Here are two basic methods of infusion:
Solar Method (Folk Method)
Take a sterilized jar and fill ⅓ to ½ of it with your choice of dried herbs.
Cover with your carrier oil. Add around 500 IUs of vitamin E oil for every 8 oz. of carrier oil to prolong shelf life.
Cap the jar tightly and place in a sunny space - either outdoors or indoors. Shake it daily.
Allow the mixture to infuse for 2 to 3 weeks, or until the oil takes on the colour or aroma of the herb within.
Once the oil is ready, strain using a cheesecloth and bottle into a tinted sterilized jar. Store in a cool, dark place.
Slow Cooker or Stove top (Fast Method)
Place your choice of dried herbs in your slow cooker or pot and cover with your carrier oil. Add around 500 IUs of vitamin E oil for every 8 oz. of carrier oil to prolong shelf life.
Gently heat the herbs on very low heat (100 - 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for 1 - 5 hours until the oil takes on the colour and scent of the herb. You can cook it for longer at 100 F if you would like.
Turn off heat and allow to cool. Once the oil is ready, strain using a cheesecloth and bottle into a tinted sterilized jar. Store in a cool, dark place.
Do not use fresh herbs when crafting herbal-infused oils. They contain moisture and promote the growth of mold, especially if infused via solar method.
Wax
Waxes are frequently used in making cosmetics, body care products and salves: they help to bind and emulsify ointments and lotions. They also function as a natural hydrating ingredient and alleviate itching for those with sensitive skin.
The most commonly-used wax for crafting salves is beeswax; however, vegans and those with allergies can utilize carnauba wax which is sourced from the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree.
Method
Once the herbal-infused oils are prepared, the process of making a salve only takes a few minutes. Here are the steps involved in the process:
On low to medium heat, warm the herbal-infused oil(s) in the top of a double boiler or in a small saucepan.
Add the wax. Once the wax has melted, remove from heat.
If any, stir in any additional ingredients of your choice, such as essential oils.
Pour into your designated container(s).
Recipes
Soothing lip salve
3 tbsp beeswax
3 tbsp aloe vera gel
2 tbsp oil of choice
8 drops essential oil of choice (optional)
Salve for minor scrapes, bites and burns
1 ½ cups comfrey-infused oil
1 ½ tbsp coconut oil
¼ cup (55g) beeswax
Healing salve
1 quart (1 litre) of oil infused with equal parts St. John’s wort, comfrey, peppermint and lavender
¼ cup (55g) beeswax
Salve for backaches
1 cup ginger- and peppermint-infused oil
2 tbsp (22g) beeswax
First aid salve
1 cup St. John’s wort-infused oil
2 tbsp (22g) beeswax
Salve for rheumatoid arthritis
1 cup ginger- and licorice root-infused oil
2 tbsp (22g) beeswax
Common Carrier Oils
Almond oil, sweet: A fantastic carrier oil that contains fatty acids and vitamins A and E. It’s an effective emollient for moisturizing both skin and hair and is easily absorbed by skin.
Argan oil: This is a staple in moisturizing skin and hair care products. Argan oil contains tocopherols, phenols, carotenes, squaline and fatty acids - it’s a truly luxurious oil.
Evening primrose oil: Prized for its health and cosmetic benefits.
Grapeseed oil: A common base for many creams and lotions - it’s the go-to carrier oil since it’s especially useful for skin types that do not absorb oils well and does not leave a greasy feeling.
Olive oil: The most commonly-used oil in cosmetics and hair care.
Safflower oil: A highly-moisturizing oil that soothes troubled skin.
Common Herbs for Health and Wellness
Aloe Vera: Excellent for treating burns, cuts and scrapes.
Arnica Montana: These flowers offer strong anti-inflammatory properties. (Do not use in open or bleeding wounds. Long-term use can cause skin irritation.)
Black Cohosh: Offers anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving benefits. (Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Can cause gastric discomfort in some individuals.)
Blue Vervain: Relaxes the nervous system and offers reliable pain relief for rheumatism, joint pain and neuralgia. (Do not use during pregnancy.)
Chamomile: Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic. (Do not use if on blood thinners or if allergic to ragweed.)
Chickweed: Wonderful for making soothing poultices to treat rashes, skin irritations, minor burns and itching.
Comfrey: Alleviates pain and inflammation; works well on cuts, scrapes, insect bites, burns and rashes. (Do not use on children.)
Echinacea: Antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral. (Do not use if you have tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, autoimmune diseases, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or if you are allergic to ragweed.)
Ginkgo Biloba: Natural antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and great for treating allergies and asthma. (Do not use if you take monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), or blood thinners.)
Goldenseal: Antiviral, antibacterial and excellent for dealing with minor cuts and wounds, sinus infections, respiratory congestion, sore throats and more! (Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have high blood pressure.)
Mullein: Great for first-aid treatment of minor wounds, burns and insect bites.
Plantain: Antimicrobial, antihistamine and anti-inflammatory; great for treating wounds, insect bites and minor aches and pains.
Sage: An excellent remedy for colds and fevers, hot flashes, painful or heavy periods, rashes and sore throats.
St. John’s wort: A strong antiviral; treats arthritis, fibromyalgia, muscle aches and sciatica. (Do not use if you take monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI).)
