🌙✨ Update from the Witch of Ragnarok ✨🌙
Some of you might remember that I started working on my Undertale/Mafiafell fanfic "Arcanefell" . And yes—I’m still working on it! But about 3 years ago, I also started writing "Extra Life" alongside it. Then, just last month, inspiration struck again and I found myself diving deep back into my MHA saga: "Extra Life – A True Hero."
Since then, I’ve been bouncing between these two massive fanfictions—each planned as a five-book saga, with each book ranging between 60,000 to 150,000+ words. So yeah… they’re gigantic. But both stories are so important to me, and I let them grow naturally as the ideas evolve.
Right now, I’m mainly focused on "Extra Life", because I’m fully hooked again. Even though only the prologue is posted on AO3 so far, the story is very much alive behind the scenes.
The reason chapter one is taking so long is because... well, this isn’t a simple fanfic anymore. It’s a 40-year journey through the life of my protagonist, Narah, and how she grows, struggles, heals, and changes the world around her.
And A True Hero takes place 12 years after she’s already met many of the canon characters. So for every interaction, I have to think three times:
What happened between them in those 12 years?
What kind of relationship do they have now?
This isn’t a fix-it fic. It’s a healing fic. Not a miracle overnight, but slow. 3 steps forward, 2 steps back. Because that’s how life actually works.
And I don’t just write Narah. Characters like Mirai, Jin, Toga, Nezu, and many others get their own arcs, growth, and dedicated chapters. They aren’t just background characters—they’re real. Messy. Beautiful. Struggling. Healing. I want to honor them all.
Also… I realized that the 12 years before "A True Hero" couldn’t just be background lore. It needed its own book. So for the past month, I’ve been writing "Extra Life – When Fate Was Rewritten."
It’s where I show how Narah met everyone for the first time—like how she saved Jin, and how that moment changed both of them forever. And yes, I’ve been learning a lot about OSDD-1B (a type of dissociative disorder), because I want to portray trauma and mental health honestly and respectfully.
It's hard. It's heavy. I’ve cried, giggled, and even raged while writing some scenes. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Even if no chapters are out yet, I’m writing almost daily. I just love these characters too much to rush their stories. I want them to feel real. To matter.
Because if even one person reads this and feels seen—not broken, not something to “fix,” just human—then it’s all been worth it.
✨ You are not an illness.
✨ You are not something to be “fixed.”
✨ And you deserve stories that show that.
Thank you so much for your patience. If you're curious about the writing process, or want updates on arcs I’m working on (like Jin’s, or the dark side of hero society), feel free to ask! I'd love to share more.
With chaotic love and determination,
🔮Your Witch of Ragnarok 🔮
