Subtle Witch Tips - Lammas / Lughnasadh
Happy Harvest!
I created a list of subtle witch tips for folks who are looking for some low-key harvest celebrations during this busy time.
đ˝ Bake a loaf of Quick Bread - Unlike most breads which take hours to prove, quick breads are just that - quick! Have a search around Pinterest or your favorite recipe places and find something that strikes your fancy. I happen to be partial to beer cheese breads with caramelized onions. While mixing your dough be sure to infuse it with thankfulness for all that you have been granted this year.
đť Do a ritual centered around your goals for the year -Â Make a list of everything you hoped to work on this year and evaluate how far youâve come. Make offerings in celebration of all youâve accomplished and meditate on what you can best do to manifest everything youâve hoped for.Â
đ˝ Go for an early evening walk - Bask in the warmth and light that continues to suffuse the later hours of the day. As the days grow darker, you will come to miss the greenery and easy evening productivity. Thereâs no easier way to be grateful for something than to acknowledge it in the moment and be fully present in the world.
đť Let go of regrets with a burning spell - Lughnasadh is also a period of reflection as with the bounty of life comes the memory that death is not far behind. Sit quietly and meditate on what plans you had that are not working out, or what endeavors you should be letting go of. Write all your regrets and what you want to rid yourself of on pieces of paper or corn husks if youâre feeling particularly seasonal. Gather all of them up and burn them one by one to release yourself from such burdens as we go into the tail end of the year.Â
đ˝ Tidy Up - While we usually think of harvest time as a period of abundance, for farmers it is also a time of cleaning. Once the bounty of the fields is collected, work begins to prepare the ground for more crops, or for the soil to sit under a sleepy blanket of snow until spring. Take some time out of your Lughnasadh celebrations to clean your space - your altar, your home, or even just your bed or desk. Evaluate that which is no longer serving you and consider donating unwanted items so that others may benefit from your abundance!
Wishing you all a very happy first harvest! âď¸

Beginner Witchery
Disclaimer: Witchcraft is NOT a religion! It is a practice, or skill. Anyone of ANY religion can be a witch!
There are a few steps to becoming a witch, and the first is taking an interest, which you obviously have and its led you to my post. Many things lead people to magic! Maybe youâve always felt a strong connection with Mother Earth and her lovely inhabitants, or maybe your friend is a witch and recently has been open about it with you. The second step is exploring the craft, Reading witchy books and blogs, and gathering information. The final steps are to start calling yourself a witch and start practicing witchcraft. Those steps are interchangeable, it doesnât matter what comes first.
When it comes to learning more about witchcraft, a lot of baby witches ask me the million dollar questionâŚÂ âWhat do I study first?â
Theres no exact order you need to follow. Iâd advise you to be respectful to magick, to the elements and to mother earth. Start being more aware of all she gives us, if you arenât already.
Here are some things you can do/look into to get yourself started:
Witchblr. DONâT UNDERESTIMATE WITCHBLR. There is so much information on witchblr, its really amazing.Â
History of witchcraft. Studying the roots of the craft is so interesting to do! Its really cool to hear the origins of everything we do.
Crystals. Crystals are my FAVORITE, my collection is always growing and i pick specific ones to carry based on what i need the day of.
Divination Methods. There are several ways to divine, and its really nice to get some insight from your spirit guide/the universe. Studying the origins of these methods is also really interesting.
Herbs. Herbs are awesome and you can use them for everything, be it magick or mundane. They are great for using in spell jars, teas, baths and etc.
Dreams. Study what they mean, why theyâre important and how you can benefit from listening in to the deeper messages they hold.
Keep a dream journal! Start recording everything you can remember as soon as you wake up.
Grounding. I think everyone should ground themselves at least once a day, it makes you feel so balanced.
Celestial Bodies. Each planet has a different energy, and you can use these energies potentially.
THE MOON. The moon has so much energy its so powerful and i love feeling it shine on my skin. Its phases have significant effects on us and on our spellwork.
The elements. Each element brings a different energy, and when you cast circles you typically call on each element. its nice to know about these energies and find which ones you click with the most.
Altar Tools.Â
Deities. Study the different pantheons, see if one appeals to you. if not, its ok, not everyone works with them.
Meditate. Get in tune with yourself. Thats the best thing you can do while on this spiritual journey.
Sigils.
Talismans.
Different Alphabets
Types of spells
Types of magick
Famous witches.
A few more tips from me:
Keep journals. yes. plural. one for dreams, one for your general day to day feelings and to record your growth spiritually, one for the crystals and herbs you collect (or one for each), one for your studies. You CANNOT record too much! Take notes on everything.
never do anything you donât feel comfortable with.
Never rush ahead of yourself. Take your time with learning about the craft, you will thank yourself in the future.
Use what you have! You donât need supplies to be a witch or have a successful spell. Its all mental and about your flow of energy. you just need YOU.
your craft is your own, do not feel pressured to be more like witches you admire, do whatever feels right to you.
unless you follow a specific tradition, there are no rules in witchcraft. There is a lot more freedom in witchcraft than you may realize.
DOnât ever shame other witches. Best example: Some witches curse, some donât.Â
i know i said this earlier, but be respectful. always remember to thank mother earth for everything she supplies us with.
Always say goodbye to any entities you call into your circle.
NEVER be scared of spirits. they are all around us, all the time, they only make themselves known sometimes. fear can feed them and help them grow in strength.
donât worry about a title, you donât need to scramble to find our what kind of witch you are. you will just know eventually based on what you do most in your practice, it will take some time.
MY ASKS ARE OPEN, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, ASK AND I WILL ANSWER WITHIN 2-4 DAYS. you can also send me a message.
Please add to this so any baby witches can see what you have to say and be informed!! You can also submit a post to my blog.
I will add to this post in the future, i hope it was helpful.
Blessed be!

âcan you fix yourselfâ spell
This is for all those annoying jerks who you want to curse but decide to help become better people instead :â)
You all know who Iâm talking about, Iâm sure
For the ingredients, youâll need:
amethyst (optional, itâs just meant to be near you, it wonât matter much if you donât have it)
a sheet of paper (optional)
a flower, preferably one that fell off a bush already
a white or pink candle
Now, for the spellđť
first, get your candle and light it. while itâs burning, write what good youâd like for this person, if youâd like. you could always just remember but me being the forgetful, distracted person I am, Iâd write it. write as many things there are flower petals.
Then, over your candle, drop a flower petal into the flame while saying (aloud or in your head) what //good// traits youâd like this person to work on
For example if a person is overly loud and harsh to the point where it hurst people, youâd say â___ has realized they need to focus on becoming more gentleâ and drop a petal into the fire
+
âflowers are such beautiful things. for hundreds of years theyâve been seen as symbols of love, happiness, and appreciativeness⌠theyâre generally such amazing, positive things.â
Sleep Chant âž
Chants donât get enough credit, chants are repeated until the wanted effect occurs!
âGoddess above,
Queen of the night,
help me sleep in your healing light.
Restful sleep come to me,
relax my body and set my mind free.
Grant me calm and peace tonight,
let me wake in The Godsâ golden light.â ⢠If you need additional aid, try counting back from ten after chanting.
âď¸ Sleep Well & Blessed Be âď¸
đŽ little witchy things to do đŽ
thereâs not always time to do hour-long full-out rituals and spells, but that doesnât mean you canât do little witchy things in your day-to-day life!
- sleep with your curtains open to naturally wake yourself up with the dawn, and appreciate the new day
- do yoga (i like sun salutation yoga in the mornings)
- use a body wash that matches your intent for the day (eg. lavender if you shower at night, rose if you want to boost your love life etc.)
- sprinkle a watered down lavender spray on your blankets/pillows at night for relaxation and rest
- meditate
- you can find some very simple quick spells to doÂ
- immerse yourself in nature
- moonbathe
- sunbathe
- listen to witchy music
- tidy (physically) and cleanse (energy) your room/house
- light candles
- make a few sigils (put school sigils on your schoolbooks, self-confidence sigils on your hairbrush ⌠)
- have some you time
- add to your book of shadows/grimoire
- even just flick through/read your book of shadows/grimoire
- if youâre on the bus, or waiting for someone or have a free moment, take a minute to ground yourself. concentrate on feeling the connection between you and your seat, your feet and the floor.
just remember that simply doing these does not make you any less of a witch.
youâre an important, busy person!
Christians: Witches are creepy. They make like animal sacrafices and worship satan.

magickal snickerdoodles âď¸đ
merry meet! <3 today i made some wonderful and chewy snickerdoodles, and i wanted to share it with you all so heres the recipe :))
â¨youll need đđ:
â¨1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
â¨1 1/2 cups sugar
â¨2 large eggs
â¨2 teaspoons vanilla
â¨2 3/4 cup flour
â¨1 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
â¨1/2 teaspoon baking soda
â¨1 teaspoon salt
cinnamon-sugar mixture đżđ:
â¨1/4 cup sugar
â¨1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon (love and happiness đâ¨make sure to make your intent clear!)
what to dođđ:
preheat oven to 350° f
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar for 4-5 minutes until light and fluffy. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add the eggs and vanilla. Cream for 1-2 minutes longer.
Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, just until combined.
In a small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon.
If time allows, wrap the dough and let refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. Roll into small balls until round and smooth. Drop into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and coat well. Using a spoon, coat for a second time, ensuring the cookie balls are completely covered. *To make flatter snickerdoodles, press down in the center of the ball before placing in the oven. This helps to keep them from puffing up in the middle. *
Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Let cool for several minutes on baking sheet before removing from the pan.
enjoy !!!!! blessed be đđ
also this makes an ungodly amount of cookies so this is perfect for sharing with friends!!! <3
