Heh. Ok, I'll bite. *attacks you like a mountain lion*
catgirl in a old baseball cap and a lightly stained tanktop, explaining to the camera in a texan accent, why she’s going to win the bass pro tournament
Just Cat things Source: Kuma_Paws_376 on catpictures.
There's a new girl at the gym, her skin patchy in places, making way for a thin wire-like mesh with something flittering underneath. She looks a little lost, or maybe she's just trying to decide on a plan of attack.
It’s leg day for Kat, and she’s near the middle of her workout, a sheen of sweat on her tawny fur. Her rounded ears flick toward the new girl half a second before her amber eyes do. She doesn’t stop her reps, but she’s keeping an eye on this newcomer.
Beetle narrows her eyes curiously at the watching gaze, deciding it’s probably not hostile she approaches, heading for a machine next to Kat and giving a smile and an up-nod as she passes. Now she’s closer, the movement under the gaps in her skin are easier to discern, little shining bugs, butterflies, beetles and the like, all fluttering about like they’re caught in a net.
Kat can’t quite stop her narrow pupils from dilating because - bugs! Fluttery bugs! And she gives the woman a bright smile.
Full of sharp teeth. She’s not trying to be scary, she really isn’t. Her tail is curled up behind her in a lazy question mark.
Beetle laughs, noting the reaction to the movement under her skin, it’s certainly not an uncommon one
“Hey, how’re you going?”
“Hey. Not too bad, ‘n you?” Kat finishes her set and stops to stretch a little. “You look a little lost, you need help or anythin’?”
“Just having a look around, I’m new in town gotta scope out all the amenities”
“Oh yeah?” There’s a slight shift in her posture. New doesn’t always mean trouble, but it sure doesn’t mean trust, either. “Where’re you comin’ from?”
“Here and there, I travel a lot. I was in LA when I last settled down, but I’m from London originally.” Beetle smiles, sitting down on a nearby machine rather than using it.
“What brings you here, then?” She she starts another set with a quiet grunt.
“Oh I was just passing through,” Beetle smiles, shifting to start her own workout given Kat has resumed, “but then it turned out my estranged uncle and his fiancé live here, so I’m sticking around for a while”
“Oh yeah?” She speaks in between reps, and only glances at Beetle. “Must’a been a hell of a surprise, findin’ somethin’ like that out.”
“Good god was it ever, I hadn’t seen him since I was a kid, but he’s still exactly how I remembered him. It’s nice to have some family again though”
“Heh.” At the talk of family, her smile gets a little forced. “Sure it is, yeah. ‘S a lucky thing, for us.”

Kat's probably not expecting guests at this hour, but someone's knocking at the door nonetheless. When she finally answers the door, she'd see a beleaguered Jolene wearing a big pink hoodie and some skinny leather pants with a bag slung over her shoulder. She breaks into a grin when she sees Kat...
Kat’s mouth just fuckin’. Drops open.
“Babe,” she finally breathes, “what’re you - shit, what’re you doin’ here?”
Are those…are those tears in her eyes? She doesn’t seem to be able to move, just stand in the doorway.
“Our drummer got hurt while unloading after a show and had to take time to recover. I was tired if being on the road, so we finished the last of our tour dates with a session chick and…” she shrugs. “We decided not to go on the second leg of the tour without our drummer, so now I’m home.”
She opens her arms, hoping for a hug.
Kat barely lets her finish talking before she pulls Jo into a tight embrace. She buries her face in Jo’s hair and just holds her, not saying anything.
“I maybe missed ya a little,” she finally mutters, and gives Jo a hard kiss on a the side of the head, and a softer one on her cheek.
“Here, lemme take your bag?” She’s still very much in Jo’s personal space, an arm still wrapped around her waist.
“H-hey, Sweetheart.” She laughs softly, melting into Kat’s embrace and not wanting to let go of her partner. “I missed you too, darlin’.”
She lets Kat take the bag from her shoulders, enjoying the feeling of having her girlfriend’s arm wrapped around her waist. “Sorry I’ve been tourin’ for so long, love. I know it’s been pretty hard t'deal with.”
“Yeah it’s been…” she doesn’t finish the sentence, and flicks the light on.
The state of her apartment is more than enough to illustrate just how much she’s been struggling. It looks like she’s been sleeping on the couch, based on the nest of blankets there, and the whole place is something of a mess.
“Sorry,” she mutters, and grabs an empty delivery container to throw in the trash. “Winter’s been extra hard.”
“Oh, Sweetheart…” Jo puts a hand on Kat’s forearm. “I'da come home sooner if I knew it was so rough?”
She trails off. “What can I do to help? Would you like me to help clean up?”
“Nah.” Kat kisses the side of Jo’s head. “It’s been like this for this long, it can wait a while longer. I just wanna snuggle with you. In bed or on the couch, I don’t much care which. You hungry? I can make somethin’ to eat, too.”
“Well you don’t have to wait any longer, handsome.” Jo runs a hand along Kat’s lower back and then leans down to unlace her heeled boots. “Let’s cuddle on the couch. We can put something on the TV and relax - and I haven’t eaten, but I can order takeout. I’d rather have you next to me than in the kitchen.”
“‘S all good, there’s not much in my fridge anyway.” She chuckles and rubs Jo’s back. “There’s a new Thai place just opened up, it’s pretty good. Delivery and cuddling sounds perfect.”
Jo pulls put her phone and orders something for herself, and then offers it to Kat to order whatever she’d like before sinking into the couch. She makes grabby hands at her girlfriend. “C'mere, darlin’. We’ve got a half-hour before food gets here, and I missed you.”
Kat flops down next to Jo with a sigh and a lopsided grin, and nuzzles her neck.
"Missed you too, darlin'. A whole helluva lot."
She curls her legs up and leans against Jo, putting most of her weight on her.
You know, like cats do.
