You’re so calm and quiet, you never say. But there are things inside you. I see them sometimes, hiding in your eyes.

“I…Don’t even know if you can fight with that broken sword right? Or can you?”
“ You stare as if it is impossible, boy. Fret not, I have been lugging this thing around for a long time... it has proved of protecting me well. “
a reference. Riven has a cloak that covers most of her front and all of her back, her sword is also strapped right on her back. her cloak is from her old military uniform along with her belt, shoulder piece, corset and gauntlet (id also say her footwear).
i’m thinking her hair might be a little longer/fluffier however. and when she was stranded in Ionia, she plucked clothing from dead soldiers that weren’t as tainted with much blood so she could blend in/move freely. under her corset is basically a long, teared up dress (i wouldn’t say a kimono but almost like that) that hugs her hips/thighs.

The Sheriff takes off her hat in silence, looking sternly at the other as she turns it upright. She puts her hand inside her hat, eye contact never breaking all in while keeping silence. A second after, she pulls out a rabbit, holding it by it’s ears. Ta da.
Studying and studying. The sheriff had something she wished to show the exile, in silence, she began to dig around in her impressively large hat. Now Riven was not familiar with Piltover’s new-age technology (nor did she really care for it) but humoring the other for a moment’s time wouldn’t cause anything to spiral downwards.
Surprised at what the woman was digging around for, Riven blinked and widened caramel hues. There, she brought out a rabbit... from inside her hat.
Weren’t there safety precautions with that sort of thing?
Regardless, the ex-soldier tilted her head towards the rabbit and began to clap her hands lightly. It was rather... entertaining.

For a while, Braum was content to listen to the pitter-patter of the rain as it fell on the face of his shield. “Who knew shield could make such good umbrella?” he’d jested with his companion, who at the time seemed rather concerned that Braum had not only lifted the giant bulwark over their heads, but that he intended to keep it there for the duration of their trip. “Only until rain stops,” he had assured her, though at this rate, it seemed both sentiments were one and the same.
They weren’t the only ones enjoying the makeshift canopy; nestled in the crook of Braum’s elevated arm was none other than his furry little friend, who’d occasionally interrupt the sound of rainfall with an impressive-sized yawn before dozing off once more.
Braum glanced down at his fellow traveler, smiling to himself as he took a moment to admire the shade of her hair. It reminded him of home, a place his journey had taken him very far away from. A place, perhaps, that they were both very far away from, he mused.
“I don’t think rain will be letting up any time soon,” Braum said, causing his poro friend to momentarily stir from its nap. “How much further until we reach your stop, my friend? Maybe we should consider setting up camp if it is too far. Nothing beats the cold like warm milk!”

It always seemed she had caught herself traveling in the rain more frequently than the exile could have liked. While it wasn’t the walk she didn’t enjoy, it was waiting for clothing to dry that made the rain so dreadful. But today, she did not have to worry about that. Standing tall, a heavy mustache accompanied Riven on her days of adventure to the next town-- Braum.
Looking up over her head, the mightiest of shields she had ever had the pleasure of laying her eyes on protected the duo both from the rain fall above. Amazed at the sight of a single man wielding such a device, she had to remember Braum wasn’t just an ordinary man. Still, seeing someone larger than she was quite a sight.
“ Aye! “ Riven agreed, chuckling at the other’s comment, “ That shield is for protecting in all sorts of ways, ser! “
A sigh of relief, she turned her head towards the fuzzy and white puff ball with horns nestling in the man’s arms. A sucker for adorable things, the stoic ex-knight could not help but ‘aw’ quietly once the tiny beast yawned. Before Braum and the exile decided to part ways-- she must try to touch the beast at least once...
All in all, it was nice not having to worry about the little things. And finally having a companion so gentle and protective. A good day, she thought.
“ ... I am not sure, ser. I go to wherever the next town may be and.. I am not familiar with these lands. “ Riven furrowed her brows, “ I spoke with the locals where I met you-- they said just keep following this path. “
A straightforward way. The path had wagon and hoof marks intending it was for trading purposes. That was all she really had to go by, and she was far too illiterate for a map. Brushes and trees hugged all the way, but it was not engulfed-- she assumed the town would be approaching soon enough. However, it has just been the three of them for quite some time.
“ Setting up camp would be smart, I believe. “ And what was one night by a fire with an interesting fellow with tales to tell? The idea of warm milk sounded far too good to pass up...
“ We can rest while the rain pours, no need to travel in such conditions. “ Taking a look back up at the large man and his arm, she rose a brow.
“ I understand you carry that shield everywhere, but I am worried about the potential cramp if you keep it up for too long. “ Like her sword, his shield must have felt like an adaption to his arm. She didn’t doubt his ability to keep it up and over head without a care, but the thought of rain lasting longer than it should have rose caution.
“ ...I am able to make a fire if you can protect it. “
Time spent in Demacia was quickly coming to an end. As an escort for the princess, there was no other reason for the exile to stay in such a cleansed land and it was high-time to move on to the next destination.
Catching herself whistling while playing with the small bag of coins she received as payment, commotion in the courtyard of the Demacian stronghold was rather lively. Stopping in her tracks, she could hear yelling of men and women alike, cheering and booing.
One voice in particular stood out among the crowd, an accent she had never heard before.
‘ Too slow ~ ! ‘ ‘ Ah, ah, one step ahead ~ ! ‘
With curiosity, Riven knew it wasn’t her place to check it out, however, how could one leave with such a crowd like that? And so, she approached with caution and a careful way to make sure she wasn’t spotted in the wave of people.
There, a proud woman in white stood tall while holding a sword elegantly in her hand, and a man on the ground. Flat on his behind with another sword that seemed to be knocked away and out of his reach. A contest maybe? The idea wasn’t so far-fetched.
The crowd clapped and cheered along with the sword woman’s bow, and Riven, even though she missed the performance clapped along anyway.

breezeblade:
Another day, another endless stretch of road to walk. He never knew exactly where it would take him, what would happen, or who he would meet, but it was all no more than daily routine at this point. Tedious in a sense, yet never quite dull; repetitive at times, but always prone to the unexpected. Yasuo was in no shortage of surprises, though undoubtably more bad than good.
Seemed nature had decided to refresh its lands today.
Adjusting his conical hat, the wanderer’s hair stuck out the back in a less than discrete fashion. He would cut it when he redeemed himself, but now was not that time, and until then he would carry the burden. He had already been accused of so much, killed so many; what has a little more weight on his back?
The melody of droplets softly pattering against the trees and ground was a welcomed song; however, a set of footsteps unlike his own slowly joined the collage of sounds. Prompting the ronin’s gaze to lift, the figure of another traveler met his eyes. Female, dark-skinned, strangely white hair. Her attire appeared as worn as his, also having a few remnants of armor on select parts of the body. There was an emblem on her shoulder plate that, though faded, was as recognizable as the sun itself.
Noxus, huh?
“Few choose to travel in the midst of a storm. It would be more suitable for me to continue–”
The man had no intention to come off as cold or brooding, but he felt no need to be polite or welcoming either. Everyone he met was just a stranger, faces that came and went, some without uttering a single word. There was little point in formalities, he would never see them again.
Though brief a response, it was just what she imagined the other would say. Her business was her own as well as the travelers, to intrude would go against everything she stood for but to not ask or offer a worried tongue was also something she could not help. And the man made it apparent that there was no need for services.
The rain began hitting harder and the cool air and wind surrounded the open area; truly a small blessing. Yet eyes lingered as if this was undeserving, she felt as if he knew full-well she was on unwelcomed land, a land she slayed and witnessed dead a hundred of his people. There was no way to prove such a thing, of course, besides the symbol, but Ionian hues always seemed to catch her in the way that they knew. Always knew.
Paranoid, constantly. Why wouldn’t she be? Even if she did not serve her motherland religiously anymore, she reeked of Noxus. Reeked of Ionian blood, there was no escaping that past and starting anew was that all she had.
“ As you wish. “ Riven muttered, letting the rain drench her hair, clothing and skin, doing her best to enjoy a bath from the heavens with a stranger.
Thunder roared, yet the sky was too cloudy and bright to see lightning. But it was there-- she felt it as if it were ready to strike her down.
“ I will pray for safe travels. “ She added, wiping her hair and face to look directly at the man, “ ...do be careful. “
