But it did not. "What sort of a name is Grimm?" She mumbled under her breath, keeping her eyes fixated on the words that filled the page. "Aralyn. That is all you need to know."

I had the strangest encounter today -- but I suppose most encounters these days would be strange for me. He's the first person I've actually carried a conversation with in a very long time. I thought that speaking to him would be uncomfortable and awkward but it was as though I was back to my normal self for a moment. He was kind and wasn't judgmental. I wonder if his opinion of me would change if he knew how easily my own family cast me aside after what I did. It was only an accident.

Grimm looked to her with a softer look than what he gave to the other apprentices in the tower. “Hey you can not lie to the Wolf of the Circle. You seem alright but I know there is something on your mind.” he mused softly taking a seat on the window sill.

          It took all that she had in her to not turn and snap. She was irritated, annoyed and just generally upset. This man was a stranger to her; he knew nothing about her and the fact that he assumed he did irritated her. "Just -- move on." She lifted her books up into her hands moved to the other side of the table.

          Aralyn carefully lifted her hand up to her cheek, brushing away the tears that were beginning to form in a manner that wouldn't bring attention to herself. No. She thought silently to herself, immediately dropped her gaze to the floor as she quietly cleared her throat. "Oh no," The smile on her face was forced but she knew that no one would be able to tell the difference. "I'm alright. Let's carry on."
