hellhoundlee:
Lee hops right into chasing her in return, barking excitedly all the way! He keeps a relatively slow pace behind Lup… but he fails to consider the environment he’s in. In a plain, open environment, Lee would have absolutely no trouble keeping up with Lup, but he’s a very large beast, and there’s plenty of tight passage ways between trees and through shrubs that Lee just can’t squeeze through and simply must either bash through or go around. They’re just the right size for a little elf girl, however.
If she so chose, Lup could run Lee around in circles, or even lose him entirely in the wilderness simply by slipping between trees and ducking through bushes and vines.
Lup was absolutely loving this. She was quick as most kids were, but she wasn’t quite a match for a beast of a hound who could leap and bound far further than her steps could take her. She was enjoying it though, laughing and shrieking joyfully as they ran about.
Lup darted this way and that, not going too far, but the closed in area was getting boring quickly. She looked about her, darting down and through an opening in the shrubs, looking over her shoulder and sticking out her tongue at Lee. “Can’t catch me!” she exclaimed, laughing all the more, finding herself very clever and she ran ahead.
